Ruby-throated hummingbird! Where I live, those are the most common ones and they are truely a beauty in the sunlight!

His excitement for the hummingbirds is MY excitement for the hummingirds. & WOW! That shot of the hummingbirds & water fountain...spectacular.

hummingbirds bathing in water is one of those things i never thought i wanted to see until now. thanks for this video. made my day a whole lot better.

I agree! Who knew! Wish they'd visit mine. I have a fuschia that blooms part of the year, and they visit those blossoms. I'll have to pay attention to see if they visit my birdbath too!

Hummingbirds are the smallest, fastest, and most BEAUTIFUL birds in the world

All this footage is wonderful. But @ 4:00 we get to see what we almost never get to see (at least in video). A hummingbird with it's beak actualy open. Only for what must be the tiniest fraction of a second.

I love watching them in the summer on my balcony in the summer. Really incredible creatures, seemingly alien. Their feet are so smol.

So beautiful! I love hummingbirds! I love watching them eat out of the feeder. They’re just amazing little creatures. Their colors are so pretty and they’re so fast! Also, they may be tiny but they’re tough as nails when it comes to chasing off other birds, especially hawks! Altogether, very entertaining!

Where do you live and where did you see the hummingbird?

My hummingbirds are so territorial, they won't let another near the feeder.

Allen’s or Rufous? I don’t know what it’s likely to be in the Ruby-throated area of the U.S. EDIT: In California we get both, and there’s some overlap in when they’re coming through, so unless I see one with virtually no green, I just enter Selasphorus species in eBird.

They’re only in the Americas-the BBC wants a story about hummingbirds, they send their reporters over. It’s a shame they didn’t send them to Arizona, which has the most hummingbird species in the U.S.
