Agree, great movie! Early roles for Gere and Winger that helped shoot them to stardom. More rom drama than romcom, and a little racy at times, but good!

"An Officer and a Gentleman..1982 comes to mind with this video. ....That would be a great movie to watch.

Vince Gill tells a cute story about this. Reba McEntire had duetted with Vince with on a track called "Oklahoma Swing", for his first album with MCA records - using her name as an established country star to give her friend a boost into mainstream country radio. (Vince had been around for awhile, but had never quite "caught" with the industry as a solo artist before that album.) So when Reba asked Vince to sing on this track with her, he immediately agreed as he was happy to return that favor. Thing is, Reba's music videos were well known for being basically mini-movies, and the minute he hung up the phone, Vince was like 'Aw crap, she's gonna make me act, isn't she!' And sure enough. 😄

Early 1980's film that gives you what this video had - romance, drama & the US Navy. The focus is training for flight officer candidates - drill instructor and boot camp. The theme song, " Up Where We Belong" sung by Jennifer Warnes & Joe Cocker won a grammy, academy award and other awards.

I would like to hear some more Alabama doing "Close enough to perfect" or"love in the first degree" both are great...

There is a point in Carrie's performance of "How Great Thou Art" were you can almost see her being touched by the spirit. she gets a standing ovation from the biggest names in country at the time. make sure you get the right version. it has to be the performance from the TV special "A girls Night out"

Wynonna you experiences from when she lead singer of the Judds with her mother, the late, great Naomi... You reacted to their songs "Grandpa" and "Love Can Build A Bridge:.. While you are at it... Also highly recommend Clint's duet with his wife, actress Lisa Hartman Black, on the song "When I Said I Do"... This song was a favorite in weddings... I'm sure it still is...

I feel ya on the weather. I live in southern MO. One of my coworkers is moving back to Arizona. I asked her why and she goes, "there aren't tornadoes". Lol I was like, yeah, it's been a pretty busy spring so far. I recommend anything by Reba. Some of my favs are Forever Love, I'd Rather Ride Around With You, Consider Me Gone, Why Haven't I Heard From You, What If It's You, Till You Love Me, and Starting Over Again.

Amber - an absolutely BEAUTIFUL movie in story and setting - A Walk in the Clouds with Keanu Reeves. It's an underrated GEM that never gets reviewed. But it is one of my absolute favourites. Another really cute, funny one is One Fine Day with George Clooney and Michelle Pheiffer. The Father of the Bride movies are heartwarming comedies. One of the absolute FUNNIEST is Nine Months with Hugh Grant and Robin Williams. That one is a rotflmao kind of movies - but SO fantastic.

If you want a movie that has a beautiful love story as the premise, I'd suggest "City of Angels". 😇
