Beautiful property! So spacious and has great potential for guest spaces as well. Only thing is you need a car and have to pass that Italian driving test if a Canadian !! But I think a place like this would be motivation enough. 😊

This house has sooooooo much potential.

Stunning! Simply stunning! Wish we were positioned to buy right now. This property ticked off so many boxes for us. Although we'd make a few modifications, it is move in ready. The house is sized perfectly for two or a houseful. I'd certainly look at converting the unused room next to the main bedroom into a bath with a walk-in closet. My husband went ga-ga over the garage/basement area. He's a woodworker and said he'd turn it into a shop. I'm an avid gardener so very impressed with the garden area. The location is ideal for walking to Palombaro, E-biking, touring the nearby villages and towns, hiking, or heading to the coast. The love the current owners have for this home shows inside and out.

I totally agree we also thought the same reni the room next to the master to a bathroom and wardrobe. My hubby went Gaga about the garage too! He said replace the garage door with beautiful patio doors and make it a walk out. Room could be fabulous and have a small powder room down there as well, an apartment or a big space for entertainment.

This is one gorgeous property.. I love the garden and all the little paths.. You couldn't find a house like this in Las Vegas NV. USA for this price. Mobile homes sell for this price and they are just that a mobile home no land no garden. This one is out of this world.. You can't say you don't have enough space.. I love it.

That dining room would become a library with a few cosy sink into chairs. The terrace off the kitchen would have some planters on with some herbs, tomatoes, peppers. Maybe some lettuce leaves too.perfe tfor a salad sandwich, made with fresh homemade bread

Magnificent property - love it!

The word is step terracing. Im commenting seeing just the views and terraces. Im sold! Large narrow trees could be put behind at road or even in large pots to block noise and view from road. Less claustraphobic than building up the wall and a bit see through. I like views but also dont want noise. We gained almost an acre with this home. It has inclines in both directions so we have zoned the areas for different uses. Patio, fire pit, picnic bench under tree. log bench under two elm trees at far end. Its like walking around our own park. Still working on some landscaping. Desert areas so hae to make sure we pick plants to survive. Nothing but weeds, trashed hoarder yard, dead trees 5 years ago. Work needed in main house to make livable. Not that old but designed by eccectic viewed artist which didnt allow real living. Part of the reason I was sold on this place is the guest house included for family and a separate workshop building I claimed as my sewing room! As with comments here some of us have our hobbies that also provide a little income. I am now teaching sewing and make some items for small local market.

If I had the resources to flee America and live in this house I would take my daughters and grandchildren with me. In a house like this, three generations can easily live comfortably and still keep their private space in separate areas both inside and out. So many of these Italian houses are perfect for multi generational living.

The upper floor could be a rental apartment because that little storage room comes in off its own terrace and could be the front entrance of it. could close off the stairs going down at the top. Room enough to add a kitchen. Even all the basement area could be another apartment depending on needs or choices of the buyers. Id also see if a door could be put into that large side terrace from inside. So many places seem you have to practically walk into street to get to your patios or front door or storage room. Dangerous walking out front door with your steaks to BBQ.

What a property! Stunning views! The only thing I would change, would be, if it is possible, to open the wall between tha dinning room and the lounge area. Beautiful garden, in which you could have a swimming pool??

In the large place below i would build a cinema

I really like this one a lot. I would make that "dining area" a library/study. And I would make the garage area into an artist studio, changing out the solid garage door for a glass door with lots of light. The "levels" are called a terraced garden Dave and traditionally in many places fruit trees would be on one level, the next level would have agave or prickly pear cacti to keep the soil in place, and they would continue to alternate those at each level. It is a lovely property with lots of possibility. The other thing I would do if allowed, is extend the front stone wall upwards, to block out the traffic noise and give more privacy, but only at the front-most areas, angling in down so at the back it does not obstruct the view. Is this one not up on the website yet? I could not find it.

Did we ever see the Terrace above the front door? That must be off the Master bedroom. Somebody’s going to get a beautiful home and property!

What a perfect train room! My brother and grand son would love it. I would gift the little studio apartment to my brother. It’s perfect. But we can’t retire yet. 5-6 years!

I would open the door back up to that unused room and turn it into a sitting room. The couch wouldn't be in the master bedroom but in the sitting room, and then you could just walk right out to the roof terrace without going through the house.

The word you are looking for re: the sloped yard is "terraced".....great views but too close to the street (and it will flood from runoff) and looks very mid 1970's California hillside kibbutz.

The current owners have done a great job updating the property in the last five years. New kitchen, two new bathrooms and a complete re-plastering of the property. The big downstairs room was the main reason we bought the house some 8 1/2 years ago before selling on to the current owners some 5 years ago. We used it as a gym and table tennis room and also practising my guitar playing. The property is a big bargain at this asking price.

How is easy it to walk to the Palombaro? Did you like the area?

It takes about a 5 minute walk. Palombaro is quite small, but has a doctor, pharmacy, a bar and a couple of small convenience stores. There is a bigger supermarket and a number of restaurants towards Casoli, which is a 10 minute drive away from the property. The area is quiet and there quite a lot of Brits living in the area. The house itself requires a good level of mobility from the occupants due to all the different levels. The garden is beautiful, but requires a lot of to maintain. There are however farmers in the neighborhood who have the right equipment and are willing to help for a payment. This house is good value as it is not cheap to renovate/upgrade a property in Italy. Hope this helps.

Casoli and Chieti are larger than Palombaro (a bit more expensive) , but if you like the sea than try Pescara or Montesilvano. It all depends however if you would come over part of the year or else be a permanent resident. (with regards to schooling for the kids). I would recommend renting for a while before committing to settle/buy anywhere.
