I was 11 years old and I rode my bike 20 k to Toronto airport...put in a containment area with about 1000 other kids, sqeezed my way to the front...watching from 40-50 yards I saw all 4 Beatles walk from an aircraft hanger to an Air Canada jet. They climbed the boarding stairs, turned and did the famous wave goodbye. I got grounded for a month !! It was totally worth it ! Now, 46 years I have tickets in the front to see Sir Paul McCartney in Salt Lake July 13...again....TOTALLY WORTH IT !!!

love how they come to one another's rescue all the time - john hears that george is starting to sound frustrated with the interviewer and hops in, etc.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS INTERVIEWER?!

I just love how the covertly(sometimes not so much) dismantle the interviewer, John's comment towards the end about seeing bricks is priceless.

George is so beautiful.

It's so funny and also lovable of John saving George from an interview about to go bad by saying to hurry because they will seeing the "bricks" and that. LOL. George got annoyed when the man asked how they started. "We bought guitars, like duh. "

I love how George seems so socially awkward and innocent. :3

He's not though. He answers readily and speaks up when he want sot be asked things. These guys were the best. Could have been comedians too.

Very shambolic interview. Canada seems a bit like New Zealand, every time someone comes into the country, they are asked how much they like it, even if they have just come in from the airport.

The look Ringo and Paul exchange after that insult is fantastic. 1:40

God I am in LOVE with George!

I'm rather ashamed about how us Canadians treated The Beatles. When going back to the hotel, John had to be saved by a policeman and shoved into the elevator. Later, he said "I thought I was [done] for it."

I'm not old...but I was 16 at the time of the Beatles concert! Spent the night at the King Eddy with about 15 girls in a single room...didn't get to see the Beatles there but it was exciting!!!

I've run into this interview a few times now. And I have to say that of all the horrible, bad, lousy interviews the Beatles ever had to sit through this quite possibly must have been the worst. They tried to make a go of it, but they should have just walked away. Constantly insulted while this clown fumbled around for another inane question that popped into his tiny un-inventive brain. I've started to wonder what it was about the Beatles that turned everyone into mindless idiots asking such pointless, stupid questions. No wonder they stopped touring the world in 1966.

If that was me, I would be privlidged to be with all four of them, and it made me laugh how sarcastic John and George were with the interviewer too. Interviewer: "Where do you get the hair from?" LOL good on John for parodying the reporter's obnoxiously insistent question about them not getting out whilst on tour to George at the end - the guy was so self centred that he didn't even realise he was being parodied.

Its wonderful to see the beatles of the past in canda i use to fo myself years ago all the time to canada. Its not 12 yrs ago now and this is old information. Today is march 2022

One can only hope that this was an exception for the Beatles in those days because that interviewer was a complete knob.

That was an unbelievably hyper crazy crowd though. Man! I've seen their other concerts but the screams and the response from the girls in Toronto was absolutely amazing. It's too bad the reporter was an ass but they were paid to be assholes in those days. He obviously represents "The Adults" and he was playing it that way. In the end his thank you was very sincere. He was told probably to stir something up. I've never seen them interviewed at that speed before! Media!!!

This reporter is the kind of guy where you can never give him a good enough answer. "So how do you like Canada?" "Oh I think it's great!" "What do you mean it's great?" "What's your name?" "My name's John." "What do you mean your name's John?" ;)

Can't believe that reporter. He was rude! Unreal! I was at that concert...seems unreal but true! Never forget it!

Actually their hair cuts were an idea by a young female German photographer/artist that was dating x-Beatle Stewart Sutcliff (who died very young). The beatles met her when they played in Hamburg Germany for a peroid of time. She based it on the avant garde, german art students, many of whom sported this hair style.

Look at this... they were professionals and showed huge respect towards everyone:fans and press. When I think of all the nowadays so called stars I get a laugh! I mean, the Beatles were already big and humbles, but now if one get's the chance to have a n1 hit they get all mighty! Bravo Beatles.

I'm sure the guys were used to dealing with difficult reporters like this one. Poor George just had to let that rude comment from the reporter pass by him. Years after that interview was done, no reporter would dare talk like that to George.
