Beater Bike Build - Fuji Track 2001

Спорт

The beater bike fixed gear grocery getter, Fuji Track 2001! Finally got all the parts for my next go-to bike to get around town on. Front rack basket, swept back bars, comfy upright position, dings, scratches, rust and all the good stuff! Absolutely love the colour on this frameset and how its all turned out, let me know what you guys think! Bike specs in the link below :)

    "Beater grocery getter" with NJS sugino 75s LOL. Gotta admit I'm jealous.

    Gatt dayum, that BB is smoooth! I've seen a lot of modern builds where the cranks are spun and folks get barely 10 full revs but yours just kept spinning and spinning! DO WANT 😀 .

    Love that frame for whatever reason. Just reminds me of when I started riding fixed around 2008, and I'd always find Feather, IRO and Bianchis on craigslist lol. That's probably the only Fuji Feather I'd ride.

    Love the build! Like you mentioned, I'd raise the stem just a little and angle the handlebars down a bit. I'd keep the Nitto stem, the Cinelli looks too .. crazy. If you're gonna be riding more upright, consider a saddle with more cush - that Flite is way too sporty, IMHO. In the next video, I'd love to see a close-up shot of a drop of Loctite Blue on the Izumi halflink chain bolt ;) Cheers from the Netherlands and keep'em coming!

    Cheers man! Yeah I usually do a few adjustments after the first few rides to tune it in. Have lowered the bars a bit and it’s pretty comfy now. Do agree about the saddle but I couldn’t not put this on, just love the look of them too much, and felt like this red one was destined for this frame haha. I don’t usually use loctite, haven’t had any issues on my super toughness master links yet but thanks for the tip 🙏

  • @waveywheelies

    @waveywheelies

    4 ай бұрын

    Majority of them are for me, with the exception of a few that I’ve built for friends and other people. Favourite is a hard one.. the 650b steamroller was a really fun one to build and ride off-road, my gazzetta is my most ridden one everyday around town vice, the mash reyes is my favourite for tricks and the 2015 histogram for the aggressive angle, speed and stiffness. But I love them all differently 😊
