Beat It" is a song by American singer Michael Jackson from his sixth studio album, Thriller (1982). It was written and composed by Jackson and produced by Jackson and Quincy Jones. Jones encouraged Jackson to include a rock song on the album. Jackson later said: "I wanted to write a song, the type of song that I would buy if I were to buy a rock song... and I wanted the children to really enjoy it-the school children as well as the college students."[5] It includes a guitar solo by Eddie Van Halen.

Les Paul...
Love covers like this that prove that you don't have to have certain equipment to play exact solos etc. When I first started playing, I got so overwhelmed that if I couldn't use their exact guitar or tone or pedal or whatever that I could never play the song/solo. But things like this just prove that you can overcome pretty much anything with skill. Well-played and the whammy-less whammy sections were done extremely well

Beautiful performance. I always say once it is written, so many talented people can play (or sing it). It is the writing that is the true talent. What a gift Eddie Van Halen was. RIP

Lol. Is changing the way one holds the pick somehow an accomplishment now? Other people can pick this fast without needing to lift up their wrist. The only thing that matters is the resulting sound, nothing else. You don't need to try and mimic everything a famous guitarist does.
@orestispalampougioukis6043
8 ай бұрын
@@user-ml9si3gp9n What does this even mean? Eddie did it because he could not pick as fast as he needed to pick without changing his wrist angle. If another guitarist can pick so fast without changing the wrist angle then props to them.
