'SWEET TRUE LIES' lyrics:
Hurt and pain
Still not enough to let go
Have you felt this way
Is there a cure to endure this deathless woe
Will I fall and break
Or will true love prevail
I'm on the edge
How much longer
Can I hold on?
Baby, baby tell me more of your lies
Say you want me for a lifetime
I believe you even when I know it's a lie
Love's so blind
Sweet true lies
Sorrowbound
I cried all hope into exile
And the monsters prowl
Behind every window and door in my dismal mind
It's the darkest hour
Emotional self-slaughter
Of what's remained
Faith torn asunder
I am burning alive
Baby, baby tell me more of your lies
Say you want me for a lifetime
I believe you even when I know it's a lie
Love's so blind
Sweet true lies
GTR SOLO - ANTON
Faith torn asunder
I am burning alive
Baby, baby tell me more of your lies
Say you want me for a lifetime
I believe you even when I know it's a lie
Love's so blind, whoah oh
Baby, baby tell me more of your lies
Say you want me for a lifetime
I believe you even when I know it's a lie
Love's so blind
Sweet true lies, yeah
Sweet true lies

I grew up in the late 70's/80's so my tastes were formed by the pop in that era (at least until I discovered Iron Maiden when they hit the charts with Can I Play With Madness and I discovered my love of "heavier" music) so I like my metal with a good tune to go along with it. I can feel the 80's running through this.

Unfortunately, it's because they aren't making mainstream drivel. They are oddballs, they're unique, and they are catchy. That's why they aren't famous. They should talk to animators though, because they made songs like "die by the blade" and "blind and frozen" so if someone were to want some power music for an opening theme song,or ending song, here's the band for that. Which might actually help with their fame.

There were some songs though that they played that I didn't know and that I really enjoyed. I was assuming at this point that those were from earlier albums. Turns out, all of them were from the latest album. Those songs were "Straight to the Heart", "Beyond the Burning Skies" and "Bastard Son of Odin" and I consider them instant classics. I have seen them live a couple of times after that and it has always been a great experience: great energy, great playing, lot's of fun.
