Bearded Dragon Eats Human Bandits

Last week, I hinted at the existence of giant bearded dragons in the Wild Imaginary West. This week, I decided to introduce one! These bandits were scavenging the wreckage of a stage coach that had been driven into a ravine a few months earlier. They knew they needed to work quickly in order to avoid the giant lizard that lives in the canyon. Unfortunately, one of them lingered just a bit too long and it's this bearded dragon's lunch time, and this lizard has a taste for bandits!
The bandit eating Bearded Dragon was sculpted by Totarin on CGTrader! www.cgtrader.com/totarin

For the part of "Bearded Dragons are not endemic to the U.S.", if you wanted to you could specify that they were illegally transported to the U.S. and escaped. Idea could make for a cool Monster Black Market build. Keep up the good work, with every diorama you never cease to amaze!

The circus is missing one of its stars! That being said, back in the 19th century or still the first half of the 20th century transferring species from one corner of the world to another wasn't frowned upon, unless it was rats, mosquitos, or other harmful vermin, but nobody spread those on purpose, anyway. So, if someone could import giant lizards from Australia for a good reason (such as for your business), it was probably okay.

He said in one of the earlier video's that monster hunters will sell smaller monsters as exotic pets. I could imagine that this guy was transported from the land down under when he was small and then either escaped or was set free when he got to big.

@@herrakaarme I was mostly thinking along the lines of how the sheriff of the Town clearly pays people to turn in caught monsters, surely someone might want one as an exotic pet, thus someone sells them.

Endemic = A disease regularly occurring within an area or community.
Sadly, the haul only netted the bandits a couple hundred gold ingots... a far cry from being to replace the lost Hydro Flask :(

The only giveaway that something was off is the fact that the beardie has the proportions of an adult but is the size of a baby. Initially I thought it was a perspective thing but upon examining it, nope, that's one small beardie 😅

The coloration looks like my bearded dragon except she has the tiniest kink at the very tip of her tail.
When he sent Lewis and Clark on their expedition west, Thomas Jefferson believed that there could still be living mastodons on the Great Plains. I think that incorporating that little historical fact into your Wild West would be an awesome tribute to alternate history.

I think the idea that mastodons still existed was decently popular at the time. I'm pretty sure this is largely due to the belief many people held that animals could not go extinct. A lot of people though that species could not entirely die off because they were gods creations, and he wouldn't kill them. So when the first mastodon fossils were found, quite a few people though that there had to be some still alive.
The paintjob on that beardie is amazing!! Love this little world you've been creating!! Would love to see more reptile/reptile like monsters!!
I never usually comment on these videos, but I am absolutely ASTOUNDED by how good the paint job on the bearded dragon is. Fuckin' incredible, man.
Wyatt Earp? More like Wyatt *Burp*! Too soon? Great build, great backstory….love this as I do everything you make! Thanks Boylei!
I used to have a bearded dragon, they’re great pets and they really must be terrifying for locusts or crickets.
I lost my bearded dragon last night, he was ten years old and the greatest pet I have ever had, it might seem silly but I saw him more of a friend than a pet. What you did here is amazing and I hope for you to continue your craft. Without my bearded dragon I would not be who I am today, he shaped me into who I am and he will always be apart of me, now I wonder if the pain I feel is me losing apart of me or its our bond binding even further.

Our son moved into an apartment and couldnt keep his so we adopted it. I had no idea...These guys make the most awesome pet, ours is such a baby, always on me or my wife, all day every day. You watch the videos where they run and play and explore, ours just sort of clings. We have decided when that day comes we will definitely get another one and set up his housing a bit different using a window box and a modified cat tree to let him free roam. Anyway, I feel your pain, it is amazing how personal a reptile can become. You really should get another when you are ready.

I am sorry for your loss. I lost my dog who was with me for practically half of my life last Monday, and I am still devastated over losing her. I don't see any difference between the attachment someone has with a dog and that they would have to a lizard. Pets- or animal companions- are family, regardless of their species.

I'm sorry for your loss. Saw a quote recently on pinterest from someone famous who said that when we lose someone we lose the part of our own self that they connected to and brought out of us. You figured this out on your own.

@@roachmorphine8018 Joking about wanting people to die isn't very tasteful, especially in a thread where OP and others have stated they've lost dearly loved pets. There was a much better (and much healthier, nontoxic way) to say "screw heartless people". Unfortunately, you've made yourself out to be one of those heartless people. Do better.
That bearded dragon is SO realistic. Very convincing paintwork. Way to go!
That cut from the tablet to the base really caught me off guard; great, fun editing. The repurposing of the minis is very nicely done. The painting on the bearded dragon is lovely. The composition really tells the story of human greed and lizard hunger.
I can't help but feel that having the debris of the stagecoach at the foot of the cliff would have made the diorama a bit more cohesive and aided the story telling, amazing work on the beardy though!

Very clever "repurposing" surgery! And the paint job on the figures is looking great these days!

3:24 love the reference and amazing sculpt as always. The imaginary wild west has to take a full room of space by now
I particularly love your “repurposed” figures on this one, they look like they were intended for this action! Gorgeous job as always.
Not only is Mr. Greedy in trouble, it looks like the dragon should have little trouble scrambling up the cliff and making sure Greedy and his friends aren't separated for long... Lovely work as ever, especially the dragon's markings.
You did such an incredible job with the bearded dragon paint job! It looks real! Gunna keep commenting my Dust Devil attacking a ranch style home with cattle until it makes it into the wild imaginary west! Great build once again!
That bearded dragon paintjob is incredible!
I was completely bblown away by how INCREDIBLE the beardie paintjob turned out to be! Amazing work once again!
this is like the perfect time to make a bearded dragon because my brother just got one.
That transition from tablet to base was delightfully smooth. Almost as smooth as the paint job on that dragon! Nicely done!!
That paint job on the bearded dragon is GORGEOUS!
One thing I'd think would be cool is a herd of Imaginary mustangs. Seeing horses adapt and possibly be warped by whatever's going on west of the Mississippi would definitely be interesting, especially since they'd have to have some adaptations to allow them to survive in such a setting that would make them prized by any humans. There could even be something like a stallion leading the herd with some extra "oomph" in their design. And of course some ambitious cowboys looking to make it big by wrangling some new mounts to tame.
Amazing detail on the paint job for the dragon - it looks like the real deal.
The paint job on that lizard is beyond great. Amazing job mate
The model, print and paintjob on the bearded dragon is fantastic! It looks real. Congratulations to you and the model's author
G'day to you Squire, once again brilliant paint job,the Dragon looks brilliant!!
The paintjob on the bearded dragon is so good that it genuinely looks real. Need to see you paint more lizards
Your transitions are getting as clever as your builds! Great work, man! God bless!
The paint job on that bearded dragon is breathtaking !
Amazingly realistic paint job on the lizard. Very well done.
The bearded dragon paint job is “chefs kiss” good!! Dang man!! Awesome work!
Wow, that clip of the tablet transforming into a foam board is so cool.
that paint-job on the bearded dragon is perfection, also Tom Waits is god tier.
The paint job on the dragon is excellent!
Stunning paint on the beardie
That beardie looks so real, well done😎👍if you paint his beard black..it shows that he is the boss around there
Wow, this beardie looks so realistic. Fantastic piece of work
That bearded dragon paint job is spectacular. It looks so lifelike.
I love Bearded Dragons, especially mine.... who else loves Bearded Dragons??????
Wow, the way you repurposed those figures by removing their tools actually turned out amazingly natural looking. Also, heck yeah, Tom Waits is amazing! My favorite story in buster scruggs.
Would love to see you put all these builds in a massive table top creating a world and tying it all together with different heights and levels ❤
Really good diorama! The BD looks awesome and it was smart to reuse those old figures for rope stuff. The only thing I don't like about it is that there is no stagecoach wreckage and without seeing this video, nobody could ever know what they were down there for...
Your paint job with the bearded dragon I so lifelike, I thought a real one had snuck onto the model at first.
YEEEAH NEW BOYLEI HOBBY TIME!!! Always love watching your diorama builds.
It looks fantastic BHT! Kind of reminds me a little of slurpasaurs from old 50s and 60s movies. Thankfully this looks way better than what they did back then (and more humane)
That beardy model really is great & you did an absolutely stellar paint job on him! LOVE this scene & the little story that went along with it.
That dragon's paint job is excellent!
Incredible paint job on the Beardy (and everywhere else to)
Fabulous paint job on the bearded dragon!
I bought a "Wear you some gloves" sticker to put on my 3D printer as my reminder! Makes me smile every time
I freaking love how your imagination works, and that your talent can bring that imagination to life. I have never been more enamored with dioramas until this series!
Paint job on the Bearded Dragon is insane, great detail
That Beardie looks so much like a dragon i had for a few years! Beautiful!!
Great dio again. But, like you mentioned, the paintjob on the bearded dragon is amazing!
Wow that bearded dragon paint job is beautiful
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought that you had placed a real beardie there for a laugh! Honestly shocked at how detailed and true to life your beardie paint job is!
That paint job on the dragon is incredible, nice job!
Really nice paint job on the dragon congratulation 😁👏
Awesome diorama, as usual. But the lizard paintjob is OUTSTANDING!!!
That dragon paint job was fantastic.
10/10 on that bearded dragon, looks bloody amazing
dude you need to make a mueseum for all your dioramas! i would spend hours just admiring this one.
A real fine awesome job! Love the paint job on the dragon. Amazing work!👍
That beardy looks absolutely phenomenal!
wow that paint job is amazing on the bearded dragon! Definitely thought the story was going to be they dropped and broke their Forestall device lol
dude that beardie looks insanely realistic great work
That's an amazingly real looking dragon. Awesome job!
Your paint work continues to amaze. If you showed me a photo of that bearded dragon figure by itself, I'd believe it was real.
You are definetly one of the best diorama makers. Your videos are on of the Highlights of my week
All 3 of those guys are toast. That large lizard can easily climb that rock face.
Being a beardy owner I appreciate this diorama.
4:55 god that's an understatement, that patterning is gorgeous!! with no template that's especially incredible
Super cool diorama and the Bearded Dragon is first class. Looks great.
As a person that raised BD's (until a house fire claimed all but one of them), I have to tell you... THAT Bearded Dragon looks like you just glued a real one to the ground. Phenomenally realistici! Bang up job, brother! -Vic

Wow I really didn't need to be more depressed than I already was.
Fantastic! I really love the monster choices.
As always, what you call 'good,' I call fantastic! It might have been nice if you included the wreckage of the stage coach for added interest. But this scene works so well "as-is," that it really isn't necessary. Your Wild Imaginary West never fails to please!
Man you nailed the paint job on that bearded Dragon
A cool set piece would be an “airport” with old biplanes, but also winged creatures as “planes” maybe a giant flying whale like the puregil from Star Wars
I own a bearded dragon and this diorama inspired me to buy some little figures and he plays with them all day thanks for the inspiration
Nice job all round but the paint job on the beardy is great.
IM LITTERALY A BEARDED DRAGON BREEDER AND A DIORAMA MAKER. THIS IS THE PERFECT PROJECT!!!
Its amazing to me that those figures could be reassigned from the jobs they were originally doing to pulling a guy on a rope up the cliff and look so perfectly suited to it! Great scene, Boylei!
Your paintjob on the bearded dragon was so good!
As usual great build love the wild amagenary west the bearded dragon is native to central and eastern Australia 🇦🇺
I’m sick right now and a video from my comfort creator was just what I needed ❤
Duude! The paint job on that dragon is SO good! You continue to impress and inspire.
What a creative way to repurpose those figs poses! Amazing work as always
I never owned a Brarded Dragon, but that paint job looks like taxidermy. Better than taxidermy, it's just so real. Nice!👍
I just discovered your channel on Friday, and have spent the weekend binging every single video. I am fully invested in this tiny Western town, and the adventures of the tiny people. Just as I finished, you uploaded a new video! Perfect timing. Just a thought: as a woman, you should have more ladies involved in your world. The menfolk are probably lonely! Think Calamity Jane and Annie Oakley. 🤠
"Oh, so THIS is what happened to Wyatt! Boys back at a lumber mill weren't kidding - nasty way to go, I say. Nasty."
Fantastic job on the dragon and good placement.i got one as a pet and that's exactly how he tilts his head to look at the crickets I feed him.
Beautiful job. In particular, I love the canyon sides.
Hey dude, love your WIW series! You should put all of your previous builds from the Wild Imaginary West together outside in a massive diorama for a showcase of your world so far!
This is the cutest monster yet!
Another fantastic addition to the wild imaginary west
No matter how big these guys get, they just can't NOT be cute 🥺
