Beach Fishing "Low Tide" + Catching Beach Worms!!
Спорт
Beach fishing session at Low Tide. I catch Beach Worms on the spot and use 3 different baits.
See my basic time saving method of catching beach worms on location where I am fishing.
There is never a dull day beach fishing. I catch and release several fish while enjoying the great beach environment.

Roger I use large toenail clippers to cut my surf fishing line, oversized stainless steel toenail clippers very good. They save my teeth given defence spent @ $100k on my mouth, facial restructure and teeth.
Ha ha ha! He'll live . . . yeah, till he doesn't. I doubt there'd be too many critters that would live with a chunk of abdomen missing like that one did. I would have been keeping him for the Thai fish cakes. You're a gentle man Roger. Good work.
Roger, I'm very impress by the way you catches your worm. Very professional.
Roger, I am happy that I found your pages, I used to be a keen fisherman but life got in the way and I have not fished for around 30 years, your uploads have rekindled my interest and I am now planning to take it up again. Thank you so much for your very informative uploads I am learning so much as well as remembering some old lessons. Keith
Such a pleasure to watch a master in his element
Even if u catch nothing , the waves and beach environment is pleasant to watch
I like this guy. Wanted to watch videos about beach fishing in Cape Town but keep watching these.

Thanks Roger. I've learnt a bit more about catching worms during this video. Thanks for all your time and effort. Sorry you weren't a bit more successful this time.

Hi roger in nz we live bait those salmon you are throwing back and catch kingfish try that in another video be interesting what is eating them out there
You adjust your drag quite a bit and even mentioned that having it set correctly that only big fish are coming through. Maybe a video on some things that you consider basic but us novices would find helpful
Hi Roger , I learned a lot about fishing skill and how to catch worm from You , thank you for teaching us , greeting from Taiwan !
I did the same with a shawl nose👍🏼
Hi Roger and the camera person, from WA, I use a four wheel cart with wide wheels for the Beech to carry my stuff down.??? walk near the water for harder ground,??
its good that you post your less successful hunts. gives me hope! than you great vid

Love the video as usual. What is the weight of the sinker that you use? 90 grams?
Hi Roger,great video. Could you please let me know what is your best bait for beach fishing?

Thanks JB much appreciated
on the south coast I've often seen injuries on hooked fish caught on the beach on hard body lures - often when large tailor are around but at other times as well, They are carnivorous.
Big shout out to your wonderful camera woman, best work i ve seen on all KZread fishing vids. Is that your daughter Roger?
Unfortunately the Salmon washed up on shore immediately after you released it @ 25:18
Great videos, wonderful instructions, but please state the type of fish you have caught.
Hi Roger love your videos mate, I'm a freshwater angler but your videos making me wanna give the surf a go. Is that the shimano ultergra 1400 that you use?
Good day Mr Osborne Do you ever use a steel leader/trace for mulloway? Sometimes a shad wonders past that can bite through
Catching worms is almost as much fun as fishing , great job Roger
Dang, so easy see him caught the worm. I work whole 3 hours only manage 5 worms lol........
I learn a lot watching your videos.....just a question though...dont those hooks in the fish end up harming the fish if you let them go with it stuck inside them
Hi Roger Thanks for these amazing and informative videos. What size rod were you using in this video " Beach fishing at Low Tide. Regards Franco
Hey Roger! Watched all your videos, just wondering where you’re based? I’m in the Illawarra and the beaches look similar! Cheers
Is this Lake Tabourie Roger,love your vids
Hi Roger enjoy your videos immensely. Can you please give me the specs of your 12 foot thin beach rod you use. Also, are you using a 4000 or 6000 reel with it? Many thanks.

Hi Greetings from Australia
You have just a pvc pipe for a rod holder? Nice idea.
New subscriber here... do you put your bait beside the sand bar in the depper side or in the beach side of the sand bar? And why? Waiting for your answer,, thanks!🙏🤞
G'day Roger, Why cant you use some long nosed pliers to help remove your hooks? And a garden glove to handle spiky fish?
What size hooks did you use for the beach worms and what's the size of sinkers you used , thanks
Hey man. Great videos and insights. Queensland, from let say sunshine, coast all the way to Townsville. What will be good and family-friendly beach fishing areas? Have a winter trip from Sydney to Townsville and would like some basic information to try. Thanks, mate. Hey, all, so some rig tutorials might be good with a close-up while you do it. Thanks champion.

I'm not familiar with that area, but standard beach fishing practices would apply. I would do the same things up there as I do where I live
That’s one of the most impressively simple ways to catch bait lol 😂
Caught 4 Port Jacksons from the beach in the past 3 months, mainly after sunset and all on school whiting as bait. Must be the cooler weather? They were all in the 1mt region, so no complaints there, but indeed not your usual catch from the surf.
@RogerOsborneFishing

Yes, Lucius they seem like friendly creatures
bigger baits and cast a little further out i use a 14 foot rod and use herring for bait monsters follow those smaller fish but they need bigger bait than worms. use rthw fish you catch on the worms to fish for the monsters use bigger hooks too
Keep a pair of long nose pliers on your belt at the back and out of the way.. makes getting those deep lodged hooks out in seconds
love how easy you make it look when you pull one of the worms out , i have one question when you dig with the right hand to grab the worm do you actually touch the worm before you grip it ? thank you for your answer
@samcoote9653
Жыл бұрын
I was always taught to get real close to tue worm before you grip. Never touch them before the grab though or they either shoot back under the sand or youll grab them and theyll be resisting and youll snap their heads off. I always found putting the bait in front of them some of them will come out and crawl partially onto your finger to grab the bait and this is when theyll relax but if they feel your finger move as they crawl over it theyll scare
@samcoote9653
Жыл бұрын
Roger does it a little different to how i was taught though he comes in for the worm from the back, with a finger and thumb either side of the worm. I used to sort of offer the bait from the front and have my finger under i guess the worms " chin" and thumb behind his head and pinch that way
That fish had Titanic rupture size on the side... Whatever did that hopefully finished the job
Do you use frozen pilchar ds roger?
What size rod & reel were you using to cast the live bait?
Can you please on a diagram or sketch show us the set up of the rig ...thanks heaps
I have been very recently watching your videos. I leave in England. I liked your shore fishing, can I put into practice your way of fishing here in England or is it not appropriate here. Thank you

Hi Trevor, I don't have any family in the Gold Coast area
If I'm using worms I'll thread it onto he hook and up the fishing line . No muss no fuss . The worms stay together and presents itself quite well and doesn't fall apart
What part of the world are U fishing .?I like to surf fish on samoa beach Nothern California .I catch sand crabs for bait like what doing thanks for info on catching worms.
Is the bottom of the low tide your favourite time to fish
Do you have that star sinker on a sliding rig
snell knot
Can you do everyone in Sydney a favour by showing us some spots and tactics
Hi Roger where are the closest beach fishing locations in Melbourne
Also mate, after you deal with bait and have stinky hands, wash your hands in the sand, the grit will get rid of most of that stank👍🏼
The injured Kahawai would of been a Perfect opportunity to utilise the marketed healing spray { in the U.K 🇬🇧 it’s known as ‘Carp Care’}🔍🧐
Do you use salted pilchards or natural. frozen or thawed. what's your take on this ?
@RogerOsborneFishing
Жыл бұрын
I generally use natural thawed. Just my habit.
When you use the fish to get worms does that scent bring the fish in close before you throw Ur line out. I see you don't berly much on the beach. Is it better to berly up while you catching the worms.
@RogerOsborneFishing
Ай бұрын
Yes the scent does attract fish, I often see them while I am worming
Why are the barbs exposed? Thank you.
Less talky more catchy.
Why did you let the second fish go?

We use a stainless steel bar of ‘soap’ to help remove the fishy smell from our hands. Bought it from a kitchen shop. Works well for for onion & garlic too.
