You so right tho!😂
My buddy and I have been doing Scotch eggs in the smoker for awhile now. We still bread the outside of them (no flour and egg, just breadcrumb). They're excellent and popular at the cigar shop when we take some down. Turning these into deviled eggs is an excellent idea. I think we'll try it this weekend.

Me too, they are phenomenal…
Gotta be honest I prefer the back yard videos to the warehouse. Not even sure why

💯! More relatable and it’s outside!!
Runny egg yolks are the best. Those Scotch eggs look amazing. Cheers, Bradley! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Always awesome to see the Evan and Brad show!
I was rooting for the chudbox to win. Neat Idea
You absolutely crushed it in this video. I just ate lunch and I'm already starving just watching this, wow.
OMG i loved evans reaction to the smoked one! i laughed out loud!
I obviously learn, but man, this guy makes me laugh and is right to the point with no BS music or other foolishness
I haven't had these in a long time. Might be time to make these again. Thanks for the recipe Brad. Looks good.
Soak the eggs in hot sauce, mix crushed takis (a colorful type like green or blue) into the panko, and call them Dragon Eggs. Maybe spice up the sausage, too, and make the dipping sauce something a little fiery. I don't know if the color would come out, but it would be cool if it did.
What you've got to remember about Scotch Eggs is the sausage is a fairly solid thermal barrier so you'd have burned sausage long before you over cooked the egg in the frying/grilling process. I see so many people worry about over cooking the egg but I've honestly never had that happen after my first time making them when I over did the sausage layer. I do a 6.30 egg and deep fry and get a jammy yolk every single time. P.S. Evan is correct, cooking a few styles of egg is the first test I ever gave when doing a practical interview for a new cook.
Love seeing Evan again ! Great video. I gotta try this recipe 🔥🔥🔥🤤
They look awesome!!! Never had or tried one... goes on the To Do List for sure... thanks again for another great video!!
Bloody brilliant mate, I am definitely going to give both of those a try. Cheers.
Try eggs in a pressure cooker for 5 min. It peels perfectly every time. 🥚

Interesting. I raise laying chickens and find that older eggs peel the best. So I make hard/soft boiled eggs from the old ones and poached eggs from the freshest ones.
Those looked amazing!!!
I love making Scotch Eggs - they are a TRUE labor of love.
Grilled and Jammy looks Amazing!! 😍
DUDE Looks FANTASTEIC
i love the energy in every vid. so rad 😎
Gonna try!!! You guys ROCK
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Finally! been waiting for these puppies. Excellent vid Chud!
Hi chud Made these over the weekend and again last night, epic bloody lovely and your timings for the boiling eggs and deep fat fryer spot on Thanks
Looks good!
Sausaaaaage and egg perfection
Another unique cook... I know that scratch made sausage had to be the game changer. Great job man
Wow! - Thanks Brad. - Cheers!
That is the best looking scotch egg i have ever scene … hat’s of Chef 🙌🏻
Smoked Scotch eggs are the bomb.
Well done!!!!
Fair play dude they looked amazing.
We smoked a dozen at our kcbs contest this weekend. Such an awesome breakfast.
You got to love a scotch egg, more popular outside Scotland than inside it!!
Hey Bradley. Would love to see your take on flanken ribs!
The grilled one is perfection inside for me, I prefer a custardy yolk over runny.
Jalapeño cheddar Scottish egg sounds amazing
Dude those eggs where spot on
Good timing. The wife just made some scotch eggs last weekend. The toughest part seemed to be getting the eggs cooked and peeled. So good! We didn't grill them though.
Last time I was in Yorkshire I had the pleasure of a scotch egg made with venison. It was spot on.
LOVE BRADS EGGS
Lookin’ Good!
I like your idea to make them deviled!
My wife loves scotch eggs. I am going to make these on her birthday!
Awesome sir
The deviled thought is genius!
Wonderful.
I just got home from a weekend trip to Austin. I was looking for you around every corner!

You made me wish I liked eggs. These looked so amazing. I think I would have actually tasted them.
We love a good scotch egg in the uk 🇬🇧 and they look awesome 🤩
Instead of using dijon mustard try either colmans English mustard or horse raddish for more of a kick 👌
I make scotch eggs from time to time, but always with a stiff yolk. Definitely going to try the runny yolk next and on the smoker.
I just did grilled ones a couple of weeks ago. I thought I was the only one that did it.
Pop a hole on the bottom of the egg shell where the membrane bubble is. Boil it, ice bath and peel in the water. Perfect egg easy peel.
so much work, but they look really amazing!!!!
I love scotch eggs but it never dawned on me to smoke them! I know what I'm making this weekend!
The beard is on point buddy
Make them over coals all the time. We shoot for that lovely custard-like in between phase on the yolk. Once in a while we use chorizo sausage instead of regular to really make it dance. Do luscious a favour! Nice work B!
I do them in the smoker, no breading. Pretty labor intensive, but worth the effort! Great video!

I'm going to make these. Have you ever cold smoked them for like 1-2 hours and then grilled them at 350? Also, what time and temp do you find works best?
@chrislaframboise7577
16 күн бұрын
@@paulschwartz2464 I’d think you’d want to add cure to the recipe to cold smoke. I’m not sure about the safety of the partially cooked egg during the cold smoke process.

@@chrislaframboise7577 what about time & temp?
Uk Scotch egg, don't contain blood sausage, also known as black pudding. Just as you have made them, egg, sausage with an outer of bread crumbs. Keep up the good work.
Black pudding scotch egg is now a thing - and very tasty!
Great video Brad you should check out countrywooodsmoke bbq scotch eggs think it was from around 4/5 years ago
Dude I love you and all your content!! I am a subscriber, and a huge fan! Seriously. Ive learned a lot, and am always entertained!! But Im a professional cook who has tried to make scotch eggs several times, and I ALWAYS FUCK IT UP! UGHH!! So Im jealous and bitter that you just nailed it two different ways!! Damn you,lol !! Keep doing what you do bro!!! I am way older than you and have been cooking in restaurants for almost 40 years, and the best part of the journey as a cook, is we get to learn and experience new things everyday ! We also see who's the real deal. And you are that bro!!
We make the same mayo recipe all the time as our goto, but we add some MSG. You really can not beat a fresh warm scotch egg, it is a classic here in the UK for a reason, most of the it I just add a pick of salt and pepper to the halved eggs, the yoke being all the sauce you need. If you have any leftover sausage meat make some sausage rolls, they are great while still warm from the oven with whatever sauce you like, ketchup or brown sauce hopefully HP sauce or at a pinch Daddies sauce being the classics, alot go for the sweet thai chilli garlic sauce or the ketchup based chili sauce now. Well looks like this weekend will be british old school classics here slow cooker beef stew with suet dumplings for saturday supper and rotisserie chicken for sunday lunch where already on the menu, now i want scotch eggs and herb sausage rolls ok ging all out pork pies as well. Maybe haggis if the butcher has sheep's stomach, that maybe special order atm not seen them since Burns night. Thanks for the video smoking the scotch eggs looks interesting, take care, God bless one and all.
Thanks! This looks great! No scotch or at least bourbon to wash this down?
Sunday brunch @LeroyandLewis? Make it happen, Evan.
For the algorithms bay bay!!!!
Pro tip I learned in culinary school: Dip your scotch egg into champagne sabayon it's a delicious salty/sweet/umami combo for some strange reason 😂😂
Always have faith, no fear, all faith 😂
Makes me wanna make armadillo eggs now...
I didn`t think Scotch eggs were even known of in the US, when they are freshly made they can be awesome
Could you freeze the eggs after cooking so they're more solid when wrapping?
You should do a tour of the heb meat section. My local Albertsons doesn't sell hardly any of the items you get there.
Need that mayo recipe, looked like it was keto friendly
Double dip on the egg and panko!
instead of bread crumbs use your fav chip
Nice Work. #STAYSAFE #PHILLYPHILLY 🇺🇸
Runny yolks is a sign of a fantastic Scotch egg! Similar to the large ravioli with a whole yolk sitting in a bed of ricotta. When you cut into it, if the yolk doesn't run, it is a fail.
I wonder if you freeze the eggs to firm them up before wrapping them? 🤔
As someone who is on team solid yolk, I wonder if it would be better to partially cook them, like in this video and smoke them for a while at low temp or go with a standard boiled egg and smoke them "hot and fast"? Maybe I'll have to experiment this weekend.
That's a Try
I’ve got some questions about your deep fryer. Thanks I’m advance if you answer any of them! What’s it called (name / model)? How much oil does it hold? How long does the oil last on average? I know that this depends on what you’re cooking: fish vs. chicken vs. fries, etc, but I’d appreciate a guesstimate. That’s a lot of oil, so I assume that you have some ideas to stretch the 30 bucks or more worth of vegetable oil as far as possible. I’m sure that you filter your oil and you probably mix a little old oil in with the new when you do a complete changeout. Any tips, tricks or guidance in this are would be greatly appreciated.
Ayyy, got to this within minutes of being uploaded! Great video, Bradley!
You should make a giant scotch egg with an ostrich egg
I love smoking the eggs instrad of bouling them. Gives an extra layer of flavor.
@kaotictouch345

Wouldnt you need to boil them first to set the egg whites then smoke them? Or will they set and take smoke flavor while shell is still on? 🤔
What fryer is that? Are you making them and selling?
Pee Pee! She had obviously been waiting on that taste test for a bit. She was full send. Thanks Brad
here within the first ten minutes!!!
We throw them on the pellet grill all the time for a "healthier" version and make a garlic aioli! Sp damn good
where did you buy your meat grinder?
Good googily moogily that thaaang is juicy! Very nice!
Arancini maker can speed up the making process. Get neat round balls.
Ribeye and blue cheese sausage come on
Smoked haggis when?
I think you could help Babish cook his scotch eggs with this video
Looks awesome but is it worth it?
Add baking soda to the water when boiling eggs and they’ll peel easily.
Does anyone know what hotplate hes using?
Try a Manchester egg which is next level
