BBC: BBAF Mandela Lecture- Akala, Founder of the Shakespeare Company (Long)

Inspired by the teachings of Nelson Mandela these short lectures by Black and Asian contemporary thinkers, cultural commentators and community activists were recorded in February 2014 at the BBC in front of an invited audience they represent the speakers' personal perspectives on local and global issues framed in the context of the Mandela quote.

    This is awesome! If only the world will truly listen. I am appalled how in America Black people are dealing with injustice today as our ancestors has in the past. When do we wake up and take our real place in history as God has deemed so?

    This is why I said I preferred Winnie Mandela and I am not a fan of Nelson Mandela I love and respect him and the suffering he endured. Unapologetically I think he was used in and out of prison so white KKK in Africa could get away with their crimes and that’s exactly what happened
