I love how the climax 'gotcha' doesn't actually address the fact that Caroline let a group of boaters drink and drive TWICE.

I can readily believe that Newmie constantly dunks on other characters in his incident reports; "MacClaine forgot everything she ever learned." "Kramer wet himself." "S. Holden literally 'well actually'd' a victim to death instead of performing CPR." "Madison attempted to eat rescue can mid-rescue." Captain/Chief/Angel Thorpe probably has a whole file full of these.

@@EnsignRicky011 Yup, Yasmine Bleeth went from "Baywatch" to two seasons on "Nash Bridges" to the single-season flop "Titans". While spiralling downward in a massive cocaine addiction, unfortunately. Thankfully, she didn't fall as far down the hole as noted assaulter of women Jeremy Jackson and recovered. Good for her!

To paraphrase or quote MST3K, "This has been No Moral Theatre!"

That slow fade of the dog during the noble speech caught me off guard.

Oh, I'm going to miss Caroline's shrieks of rage. Then again, it's been years since Eddie's been on the show, and we're still getting nice dunks on that fella!

"How could you possibly forget?" "Listen Lady, I suffer trauma on a regular basis. I have been kidnapped at least twice. and one of them was not even in this show. I have a lot of repressed memories, alright?"

It's amazing that the only thing more insane than Baywatch's continuity-free run is when they try to do continuity with all the care and delicacy of an idiot trying to fix a toaster by plugging it in and jamming a fork into it.

I'm just shocked that out of Cody, Neely, Logan and Donna it was Caroline who first got sued. I would have bet a lot of money on Donna being the first one.

"See, Caroline didn't see your son laying down there. That means it wasn't her fault! Case closed." But she still didn't stop the boat when she was supposed to which could've prevented the death to begin with. "I said case closed, that's all I have to do as the lawyer to a main character."

Finally. Next episode, we come full circle.

Gotta love that Stephanie not only overshadows her sister beyond the grave in Caroline's final featured episode, but the subsequent Nights episode has Stephanie's ghost return to overshadow Caroline's regular Baywatch episode exit.

I guess the mom and lawyer also buy into the idea that lifeguards have police powers, and have the authority to do more than complain at drunks. After all, it is Baywatch canon that lifeguards are a branch of law enforcement.

Caroline neglected her "lifeguard jurisdiction" for a chance to bask in the presence of Cody's otherworldly sexy abs. Who wouldn't? But seriously, as a county lifeguard, she had a legal obligation to inform the Coast Guard about the drunk boaters. It's a regular part of her job. And she didn't do it - twice!

Should've called Stephanie-dog as a character witness.

The fact that Stephanie doesn't even remember the name of the son is so awful. I can't believe we're supposed to side with her.

Parts of this episode that made me yell with mirth: - "Overwraught with sexy PTSD..." - Cody's casual victory smooches. - Caroline forgetting Cowboy's name. - Random Oscar reference. - Corrupt police officer Mitch. - "...and also Caroline."

"A normal human being whose brain immediately dumps all Baywatch-related information" Hey, that's me!

Wow, what an episode for Caroline to go out on, at least in airing order. I don’t think I saw this episode when it first aired. Definitely looking forward to season 8 soon.

I was *just* thinking how I was craving Trial Episode fun facts over my cereal, and lo and behold Allison delivers

7:55 to be fair to Mitch. I fully believe he has a hard time remembering anyone involved in any Save that isn't his. He only remember Caroline was there because he spent that entire week making fun of her for failing the save.

I remember watching the old review you did of next week's episode when it came out so I am *HYPED* to see you revisit the first Baywatch thing I ever saw you review.

Leave in to Baywatch to take an interesting premise about a lifeguard being held responsible for someone’s death and dealing with the grief of a love and completely piss it down the drain. A good show wouldn’t make the lawyer of the grieving mother in the right for holding the person responsible for their son’s death the one in the right.

This might be the funniest Baywatching ep so far 😂

I love that despite how little they care for coherence, Baywatch proper still has better continuity than Nights!

I am not aware of what is going on with Baywatch lore and continuity beyond what is portrayed in these episodes, and I am okay with that. The ghost dog sister overshadowing her younger is so much more funnier than what these guys could squeeze out per week.

Clearly this required a crossover with Legal Eagle!

I'd like to imagine that if the case had gone to trial Caroline would've been found guilty and sentenced to working for Mitch on Baywatch Nights.

Kinda baffled they didn't go with Trial By Water. Because witch hunts? Get it?!

Where to start: 1) You were absolutely on fire in this episode. 2) When it comes to people remembering Baywatch continuity, you forgot one group: the likes of Tareltonlives and... umm... me who have binged Baywatching so many times we probably remember what happened in the show itself better than the Hoff does. 3) Possessed Mitch's glorious return to Movie Nights! Now with added context (to the extent to which the word, "context," applies to anything else in Season 2 of Nights)! I've been waiting for this one for... oh, God, I just checked when I started watching Baywatching and that's dampened the mood a _little_ but, still... WOOOOOOO!

It's funny but when I saw that thumbnail of Cody, I thought (dreamed?) this was the fabled Baywatch/Pacific Blue crossover we were all waiting for. 😂

Finally caught up on the playlist and already I can't wait for the next episode Of all the storylines to come back, they came back to Caroline turning to the Dark Side? I love the call back to KIRBY I'm gonna miss the Caroline scream. Biological clock supercut! Remember when they said Logan would be a great dad? Cody might actually be worse. My headcanon is that CJ kept the Logan Baby uniform costume and can't wait to get more use of it . YES RETURN OF STEPHANIE DOG! Reminds me of when Eddie also caused some deaths through his stupidity. Can't wait for the follow up where he gets sued too You know, I am surprised this kind of episode didn't show up in the Craig era so his law profession was actually relevant to the plot. Another old friend of Mitch? Well, it was nice knowing him Stryker: "Sounds like there's some kind of vendetta between the two of you!" Oh man, I wish you could have gotten Legal Eagle on this episode. Oh my god, the next episode will be the re-watch of the Possessed Mitch episode! I am so excited!

This episode is on the same lines as having lawyers as enemies on the hell level of earthworm jim.

Baywatch aired when i was a young child, so my idea of its female characters (and, sadly, actresses) had been filtered by years and years of misoginy. But luckily, going through baywatching made me really appreciate both the actresses and their characters. I know there's gonna be newer characters oging forward, but man, i'm really going to miss Yasmin Bleeth and Caroline (and CJ and Stephanie)!

Yasmine Bleeth was always my favourite.

Can't wait for the Nights! 😊

I suppose Cody just went on an extra long bike ride, knowing that if he didn't come back till the following week the show, I mean CJ would have forgotten all about it. CJ says Poopies? As they'd say on Mystery Science Theater 3000, 'Oh Poopy!'. Funnily enough though, I found there is something where Caroline actually beats Stephanie. I was playing around with Microsoft teams the other day, and I typed Baywatch Newmie in the gif section. Wondering if he has one. And he does! It's only a starring Michael Newman clip from the titles, but Newmie gets a gif! Type Baywatch Caroline and she gets one as well. But type Baywatch Stephanie and you only get generic ones for the show. So as Caroline would say 'Hah! Screw you Stephanie! I got one more gif than you! Me! Caroline! I finally beat you at something! Waggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhh!' I think I'm starting to get obsessed with this programme now. Which is no bad thing....

Man, Baywatch wanted to be a cop show SO bad sometimes.
