Someone should sue Nintendo for false advertisement. Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3 were announced with the release of Nintendo Switch and we are already in 2021 and there is not even a release date.

I mean I'm a Final Fantasy fan and I had to wait almost a decade for FFvsXIII (which later became FFXV) to be released after the first official trailer was shown. So this is nothing tbh and most developers are learning to tease their products within a reasonable time period from the release date (emphasis on "most" but not all unfortunately).

They said that they will still insist that bayonetta 3 will not be cancelled. I'm sure there's alot of stuff they gotta work with, but yeah, the wait has been certainly long, hopefully we can get a little something soon.

Okay but after the new trailer, this literally leads me to believe the theories of two Bayonetta and alternate timelines. I remember people always speculating how it looks like she was ripped in two. And well … add that to her new look and voice…. Just a hope that maybe Helena will still be voicing main bayo

I think because of the gun's being called Whittinghamfair, this leads me to believe that the bayonetta in this trailer is just another timeline bayonetta. Also at the end of the new trailer, when it shows the bayonetta 3 logo, it has multiple of the umbra symbols, suggesting that there is nearly an infinite amount possibly

I just finished Bayo 3 and that's basically it. All Bayonettas are from different realities.

I can see the negative of the statement, remarking on how we're all getting hyped over very little substantial information, but I feel 3D Metroid style games (it's so rare 1 to 2 games are used to describe the whole genre) and character action games like Bayonetta are very niche. I mean, Platinum seems to be keeping the genre alive, though Capcom through Itsuno might finally awaken w/ the DMCV rumors. So, I'll take the crumbs and rejoice over some of my favorite types of games not staving off death for a little while longer.

Before I saw this trailer, I saw on Nintendo's E-Shop that they were porting B1&2 to the Switch. I was actually angry, thinking they were just going to give us more Wii U sloppy seconds. Honestly, I won't even consider buying a game I already have on the last console. But when I saw "3" I was immediately thinking, "All is forgiven, just give me something new!"

It's interesting how you can see the dynamic between Bayonetta and her enemies in each teaser for each game. For Example, Bayonetta: She is clearly stronger than the Angels and easily overpowers them Bayonetta 2: She appears to be equal in terms of Strength to The Masked Lumen. Bayonetta 3: She's being severely overpowered by the enemy she's facing in this game.

Kevin Moore While Dante does get more powerful throughout the series, the power of DMC's villains stayed fairly consistent throughout the series. Bayonetta's enemies are a lot more powerful in Bayo2 than they were in Bayo1. She isn't getting weaker, her obstacles have been getting stronger while Dante's have stayed the same. We are going to see Dante struggle some in DMC5 though. There's a leaked cutscene where the new villain, Urizen, casually shatters Rebellion while Dante is in Devil Trigger form.

@@amalgamation3679 it looks nothing like the singularity. Also it looks a lot like Rodin. If you look closely it looks to even have the patches on his jacket from Bayonetta 2. Also the head tatoos. Also the general body structure and skull like head. And he's a purple flame, which Rodin is known to ignite since Bayonetta 1 when lighting cigars etc or generally just using his powers. Also you were supposed to go back to a lot of Bayonetta 2 zones in this game. I think Bayonetta 3 in 2017 was gonna be very different from what we actually got. Main writer left, the Switch has weak hardware (it was supposed to be an open world game but due to hardware constraints among other things it was scraped). Since 2014 until now a lot of the initial project must have been changed, and honestly, Bayonetta 3 kinda feels like an unfinished mess, at least plotwise. Point in case, they remained silent about this, but I'm pretty sure this antagonist from the teaser was supposed to be someone other than singularity, but they changed it along the way.

Even in pages of the eyes of bayo 3 book the enemies didn’t look anything like the homunculi we see in the final game. And also singularity DID somewhat look like the purple figure in the records of time.

I bet that, assuming this IS Singularity, he went through a massive redesign at some point in development. Like maybe he was more in line with the existing mythological entities, but then midway through development they decided "this looks too Cliche" and went back to the drawing board. Methinks they settled on the more alien appearance for Singularity and the Homunculi around the time that Astral Chain came out (or earlier, who knows) as the Homunculi and Singularity look very similar to the Legions/Chimeras and Noah from that game.

Bayonetta 1 focused on Paridiso. Bayonetta 2 focused on Chaos. Bayonetta 3 will focus on... probably Inferno?

Jack Garcia don't hype yourself up too much there. Both prime 4 and Bayonetta 3 simply said *now in development for the Nintendo switch*, which means god knows when they'll actually come out. And the Pokemon director himself said it'd take one year *or more* for the Pokemon game to come out. May wanna trim down that list a little bit for now.

Not all of those will come out in 2018. Thankfully for our wallets. (Some time to save up!) But they are in development and will be heavy hitters for the Switch. And like the other commenter said. Pokemon would take a year or longer. Likely same for metroid. Fire emblem and Bayonetta.

Assuming they are all $60 and I doubt that, that's just $420(BLAZE IT) + TAX. That's just a week of pay. Surely you can save up a week of pay in the spand of a year.

+Johnny Luken same opposite for me that i have a Switch but there is no DMC for us, so i have to buy a PS4 or a good PC to play it. All consoles have their exclusives, if you want to have all of them you need all three consoles basically.

Mangaguy69 You should talk about Sony. Xbox is nowhere in a competing state with Nintendo. Both are Japanese companies and Sony gets the same JRPG games as the Switch so you should mention them. Microsoft is doing something completely different by catering to graphics hungry games and multiplayer fans.

Jarock316 Nintendo has always been the master of exclusives especially with their own franchises. The whole Bayonetta trilogy (its basically a Nintendo franchise now) will probably be yet another killer app on the Switch. Bayonetta 2 in particular given that it was exclusive to a console that wasn't really that successful. And of course there will be plenty of people who haven't played the original.

To be honest, I like Pyra more than Mythra. My favourite blade is Pandoria, though. (I haven't played the game, this is mostly based on the trailers and design)
