Baviaans Ep4 Offroading, Water Crossings, 4x4 & Camping! This is ROAM Overlanding!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We start our day taking a little offroad 4x4 trail up the mountain at Doringkloof, stretching the suspension of the Hilux and Landcruiser a little! Our Days journey will take us into the Baviaanskloof Nature Reserver, where we would end up camping at Rooihoek Campsite. Along the way we would get our promise and have a blast splashing through the multitude of water crossings! We will also tackle the magnificent Grasnek Pass; where we get a real taste of the extreme beauty of the Baviaans! Our campsite Rooihoek it situated right near the Kouga River; clear warm water with spectacular scenery... That sounds like a 10/10 campsite to me! So this was a great spot to setup the rooftoptents get the chairs out and have a wonderful meal cooked over the roaring flames while the milkyway danced across the sky. This is what Overlanding is all about!

The mountenous tracks in this episode, reminds me of the many tracks all over the Great Dividing Range, here in Australia. Particularly around Lithgow and Barrington Tops. And I know it's a cliché to say, but the views never gets old.

I started watching your most recent videos and I am slowly but surely going through the rest such as these.. I can say that I really can't wait to get my own overlanding bakkie and start here in Namibia. I will actually be going on a camping trip later this year, thanks to you for convincing me to actually go through with it by just watching your videos.❣

You're one of the few channels from SA I watch, because there were only few that features Africa's s wilderness and wanderland, and you're my favorite among those. I know it would take a lot of effort and time to produce one video a week, but there where many out there from the other part of the world can do two or three a week. I wish you can do that. I haved been following you since your Jimny build days up to this date. Wishing you all the greatness and always be safe. God bless!

Thanks so much for the kind words! We might have 2 episodes a week for the next bit as I mix travel and build content together. But it usually takes me 4/5days to make the episodes, so the quality would decrease a lot of I wanted to make more than 1 a week on my travel content, and unfortunately this I won’t compromise one 👌🏻

Very scenic, thanks for sharing and showing us places in our own country that we can visit.I'm not a fan of the background music though. The sounds of nature and the vehicles working as the move through the different terrain is far more pleasant to hear, especially to those who might want to visit these places personally.Great job though.Well done as usual

I'm very surprised you needed low range for the tracks you drove on, that were shown in the early parts of this episode. Where they soft? They looked hard packed in the video. The types of tracks and location you did in this episode is what I like to go 4WDing on. And constantly being rewarded with marvelous views is a bonus.👍❤

The lowrange was just for the steeper bits, the beginning part was just 4h, we very rarely needed low range on this entire trip, but a couple sections were very steep or very rutted, and then the low range was nice to keep control. A lovely part of the world out here

I think you’ll manage a trailer in dry season and if you travel and a quiet time. Taking it over a long weekend, or any weekend or school holidays when you hit the very steep narrow mountain passes, if you get oncoming traffic and it’s also a guy with a trailer, you are in kak then… camping spots are Uitspan, Doringkloof and Rooihoek and the route is just between those on the normal road
