Thanks. Saved me some head scratching as neither the instructions or the diagram had anything about the lock washers for the work support and, understandably, the bolts were dragging on the grinding wheel.

Sir - Excellent video! I also bought one and it didn't have any of the issues you mentioned though I dressed the wheel to address a very minor vibration issue. The instructions nor the internet cannot help me to understand what the left tool guard is used for. I used an old very dull drill bit and sharpened it and it cut alot better though I still need to index it better for a consistent grind. Is that what this guard is used for? If not, could you shed some light on the uses for this guard please?

Hello there. Great question. Yes, that groove in the tool rest on the left side is for drill bit sharpening. However, is not that great but definitely can improve a super dull drillbit. It is used as a guide basically. A dedicated drillbits sharpener such as ones by Darex much better, because they can grind standard drill bits, as well as the split point drill bits.

Your incorrect to say to use the lock washers when installing the work rest support. The bolt isn’t long enough to begin to thread it if using a lock washer and a flat washer.
