Battling Pierce for the Win in the MARS Finale at Fairbury Speedway

Action packed finale at Fairbury Speedway for the FALS Frenzy/MARS Racing series. Guys had done a great job setting up to win the $15k feature event even with the top dirt late model drivers from the World of Outlaws on hand.
Jason qualified third in his group, putting him on the pole of Arizona Sport Shirts Heat Race #1. Jason hit the FALS cushion, fighting Dennis Erb in the heat, and taking the win.
Starting on the pole, with Tanner English to the Outside, Pierce and Gustin in row two. One the start of the feature, Jason took the lead on lap one and showed the fastest way around the track.
All the early battles were behind him. Pierce closed the gab and great battle for the lead ensued.
Pierce came out in front, with Jason staying with him, but not able to get around him. Team Feger made the decision to go with a softer compound, thinking there would be more yellows in the race.

Maaaan am i BLESSED to have discovered that racing is NOT DEAD in the midwest,and, to the contrary, has NEVER BEEN in BETTER HANDS! Illinois and Iowa tracks and talent have created the most competitive racing this 60 year old lifelong fan has EVER seen,typically 12 to 15 entries from the area that could win ANY PLACE, ANY TIME. Catching up with 30 years of racing i had no idea existed has been and continues to be the best entertainment on the planet. THANK YOU

@@FegerRacing this i see! I only wish i could say the same for my state…Wisconsin. My tracks (Cedarberg, Hales Corners) are long gone, along with countless others. Now all we have left is a couple of young guys in lower nascar ranks, a couple of tracks up north, schffler/Parker in the 10 and whatever Mr. Mars is up too.

Fortunate to race full time, work in other cars, plow snow, and lots of side hustles.
