Thank you for uploading. Your feelings are valid and totally understandable. Since you asked for some ideas...idk... I still think the non-treasure-island/offline island would be fun! Also, since you're so into Bridgerton...maybe try to do a Bridgerton or that "vibe" for an island? Have you thought about doing a few "mini DA"s? I've heard of that concept, where you don't worry about the entire island, just a small part of it. That may be nice, get some stuff "accomplished" and may start the ball rolling again, so to speak.

I’m not a content creator but you’re not alone in feeling how you feel. Almost every creators tends to make a video like this at some point. Content creation is such a hard job. I know to those of us that don’t do it, I might sound easy: wake up, do something you like and record it, edit, spend the rest of your day relaxing, rinse and repeat. But that’s not what it is at all 😂 KZread and other platforms force creators to niche down which sucks the passion out of what you do because you’re doing the same thing over and over or else the algorithm buries your content. Because sure it’s easy to say views don’t matter when it’s not your livelihood. I don’t have the answers unfortunately. But what I do know, the community you’ve built is more than understandable. We all want you to prioritize your mental, physical, and emotional health. We’re all rooting for you.

Sorry to hear about the burnout, not a youtuber, but I go to art school and I definitely feel you on the burnout stuff right now haha. I hope you feel better soon! Maybe to get you back in the swing of inspiration, you could do smaller builds/areas/ect? I saw a few other people suggesting that in the comments too, either making mini-DA's or maybe you could just use the Happy Home DLC, that way you don't have to worry about getting inspired for a WHOLE island theme, just a small area of one. You could even do little practice builds of stuff you've wanted to try making but never had an island that fit the theme of it or if you have ideas for a theme but can't dedicate an entire island to it. Or you could just do what I do when I get bored, which is come up with an island theme and inspo and everything in canva just for fun and not to actually build (or, in my case, put on the back-burner for eternity lol).

Oh yes, definitely any job or hobby that requires you to be creative is very prone to this I believe! I hope you can also find something to help your burnout with art school! Are there any different creative hobbies you could draw some inspo from maybe? Like crochet, cross-stitch or the likes? Thank you for all the ideas, I have definitely written them down and will give them all some consideration!

@@sparksby Ironically, stuff like Animal Crossing and The Sims are my low-stakes creative hobbies haha. I'm an animator so regular illustration also weirdly tends to be more relaxing for me too. Excited to see whatever you choose to do! Hopefully some of the suggestions in the comments here help. And there's no shame in needing to take a break from youtube if you need to❤take care of yourself first, I think we're all happy to wait until you're feeling better :)

Thank you for sharing your heart with us. I just started playing in January (husband and I share an island) and as soon as I found your videos, I became obsessed with decorating. One question - how do you use so many codes and items without it getting glitchy? I’ve only decorated one section and it’s very noticeable. I’ve erased some of the flowers and ground weeds hoping it would help but it doesn’t much. And I hated erasing them bc I love them so much. Thank you for all the time you devote to AC. I would be heartbroken if you gave it up but I would also understand and am just thankful for the 4 years of videos you’ve provided, along with the DA’s.

Definitely don't want to give it up! Hmm, so I would definitely say my islands lag quite a bit as well, that's not just you! One thing I have noticed is that items especially seem to make it quite bad. So I always try to keep the items to a minimum I guess. And then especially if you have a windy day or anything like that, where the Switch just needs to process a lot of things (item movement, flowers moving in the wind etc.), that also makes it much worse!

Videos I enjoy watching lately are 30 day challenges, challenges in general, islands with more lore, I have enjoyed back to basics videos lately with no treasure islands. I hope you feel that spark of creativity soon so it becomes more fun for you again. Take your time, we understand.

i was so hppy to see you posting again, but i hope you know that you come before anything else! its brave of you to voice your feelings to us! i cant imagine the pressure content creation puts on you, and the last thing we would want is for you to stop enjoying acnh. Thank you! I definitely do not create them myself, I do not have that kind of talent! For the Bridgerton island, if your roommate is okay with it, maybe screen record the process then edit and voice over later? I don’t know how difficult that is. Also, I don’t know if challenges are your thing (and I don’t know many lowkey ACNH challenges, the ones I see are usually achievement based) but I do a lot of Sims 4 challenges when I play. I think a Sims 4 challenge that might help with your burnout is the No Undo Challenge. The way I figured you can do this is in multiple ways, in the DLC, fence out a section of your island to design, a villager home, or all 6 rooms of a player home. I don’t know if this is a challenge that already exists in ACNH, but look it up in TS4 content. It really helps me loosen up my perfectionism a little when I’m in a building rut in my game. There are a ton TS4 build challenges that I feel could easily be translated into ACNH that I just haven’t seen people doing. So if this challenge doesn’t inspire you, maybe another one will, just google The Sims 4 Build Challenges. (First Swatch Challenge might be another good one.) Good luck, Malin. I hope you can find a way for content creation to spark joy again. My 9 year old daughter and I love your content and we’re often inspired by your islands for our island.

I’m so glad you’re feeling better I’m sorry that happened to you. As for an idea’s I’ve gotta few, hope they’re helpful and that you like them! 1. Do the 30 Day Autofill Challenge! It was created by Simulation Fluffy here on KZread! 2. A Mermaid Core/Ocean Core Island And 3. Make a build on any of your islands inspired by something nostalgic. Like say a show, a toy, anything. Even if you tear it down later it’s fine as long as you have fun.

I'm sorry it's been a rough season for you, hoping things turn around soon. For the record, I think you're one of the most creative, impressive builders on this platform even in your off times so please don't put so much pressure on yourself. As far as feeling inspired, why not just do a Bridgerton island! If it's what your passionate about right now it'd probably be much more fun to work on than a project you're struggling for inspo with. Your OUAT island is by far my favorite island ever created and I would ✨love✨ to see what you would do for Bridgerton! 💚 (part 2 of Polin season is so close now!!)

I’m sorry you’ve been feeling out of sorts. I know exactly how that feels. Take things slow and don’t force the burnout away because that makes it worse (at least, that’s my experience of it). Maybe look for the little things you enjoy and slowly, your enjoyment will follow along. With animal crossing, I’ve been exploring the game as it is at first glance if that makes sense, without worrying myself with decorating and whatnot and that’s been helping me in wanting to play the game and wanting to create a pretty island, etc. I also learned that enjoying life outside of the cause of the burnout helps in seeking out said thing and so the burnout slowly fades away, if that makes sense. Those are my two cents 🥺🤎🙈 on another note, a Bridgerton island sounds like an stellar idea 👀✨👀✨👀✨👀✨

I’m so sorry you had to go through that for your health! I’m glad you’re feeling better. I hope you continue to keep playing because my husband and I always look forward to your videos because we like to play them when we fall asleep at night! And I’m currently pregnant with my first child and I love playing your videos so my baby can listen to them! (Every time I play, I can feel him move!) The acnh burnout I’ve been having for so long now is crazy, I’ve restarted to hope it helps and if hasn’t so I have no foundation to go off and I’m just so overwhelmed but I really want to build but also have no inspo it’s a crappy feeling!

one idea you could do (idk if you’ve done it already) is maybe create a video surrounding villagers like villager backstory ideas for your island something like that? i liked the video you made about it for this island and i would love to see some expansion on it that encompasses different ideas for different island themes or villager types (ofc only if that’s fun for you loll) love your videos though 🤍 and take the time you need!

Oh interesting! It sounds like a really fun idea! However, I'm not 100% sure how I could really bring it to life just because the stories differ so much from island to island. Like I might see one villager completely differently just because the island framework is so different and I don't really come up with the idea until I've thought of the island theme... Does that make sense?

I get burnt out easily than I end up getting confused 🤔 like it sucks.

PLEASE MAKE MORE ON YOUR BOTANICAL GARDEN! Please I love it. Another idea that I've seen on twitch recently is visiting islands on stream. People in the stream send dodo codes and then you can go visit. Or, you can visit DAs. Also froggycrossing does DA scavenger hunts on stream which are so fun! Hope you feel better soon!

you should do a bridgerton island! you get to talk about bridgerton while playing acnh. just a thought.

Melissaverse just did a norm core island in 14 days (no codes and no terraforming) and she said it cured her burnout!!! It was also so cute.

I know she have a part time job and I do consider content creation a job too. What I meant with what I said is that you don't need inspiration to work. It's just something you have to do if you want to have income.
