IS battlearmor is only bad because the Great Houses spend their R&D money on mechs and other tech. If you can't afford mech development, but still want to develop arms, battle armor seems like a good plan. You don't need to do R&D on tanks, or small arms because those are well understood and readily available. You might pump a ton of cash into turning your limited ground troops into living tanks with delusions of shooting at light mechs in their situation.

An AC 10? What kind of madman would do that? You obviously want an AC 20 on there so you can core an Atlas with it. And as a bonus you can use it to launch yourself backwards upon firing in order to properly advance in reverse.

Most of Battletech lore is so old, even if that happens, I don't think much would change.

I adore the Amazon. It feels so fitting for the Magistracy, and it’s a great unit to boot.

Amazon is the sexiest battle armor.

These seem much more effective and efficient than battlemechs, why don't they have more of them? Also can you do the clan super soldier.

Magnetic Clamps is god send for the Marauder BA Giving it means to be deployed faster and further away than normal.

Mag Clamps are stupendously underused by IS/Periphery BA designers. Damn things ought to be standard issue equipment.
