Then added some photoetch and scratch built bits anyway" :D Epic build.

I commend you Sir !,,, You not only take the model and make it your own, but you bring the basics of Honor to the Yamato and its memory.. I am pleased you took your patience and your time and your life, and made a more realistic model of the famous Ship, instead of the standard everyone does.. I have two of them, the 700 and the 800 and plan to build them by my 70th year,, so I have 5 years to finish !! I also appreciate that when you were DONE, you were Not done yet,, you still found improvements and touch ups that met your eyes,,, I do the same as a perfectionist will strive to do,, this is Honorable and brings peace to you once you have fully completed the task !,, I have 3 Bismarks, one for a top diorama, one for a build and one for a "sunk" build,, and plan for them to be completed as well,, with a somewhat same taste as you have performed,.. I offer my respect and admiration for your work, and for your time and attention.. I have saved your video to help me, when I do my models one day,, A good day to you Sir,, May it bring peace and sunshine.... PS

Unbelievable detail !! The ship is beautifully built and painted, even the display stand is a work of art. The rigging completes the build perfectly; amazing how elastic the thin material is.👍👌😁

The best! Other modelers have gotten the hull colors wrong or exaggerated stains and contrast. This guy is brilliant. Bravo. Great to see he has actually seen hulls in shipyards and dry docks.

It's in the name - they're photo-etched. There's a picture they downscale (I gues with lenses) and a process etches it into the metal.

Sir, I sit here in absolute amazement, I thought your "Bismark build was amazing, well right up till I saw this. No wonder it took you 12 months to finish. i mean what can one say when i see such dedication to the task at hand. Your skills and patience are definitely, not in this universe Sir. More youngsters should take notice and try to achieve your level of expertise. You do what you do and the dedication you show is exemplary. A true Artisan, Thank you for taking the time to produce this video and also my hat off to you for being up front and honest in your explanations.
