Look to games like Red Dead Redemption 2, it redeems gaming. There are still amazing games out there, but multiplayer games seem to have suffered a lot with this live service mantra. Some of the greatest games of recent are: God Of War Horizon Zero Dawn Spider Man And that is just to name the ones on PS4. The theme: Single player games without a live service model. Its time we start to take back Multiplayer, innovate on it, and remove this Live service bull.

to be honest, there were many variants of every kind of bullet, new better faster bullet variants were getting developed all the time. it's not unrealistic. German Mauser had 3 variants of bullets with speed ranging from 600 to 800 m/s.

Here's the fundamental difference between BFV and 2042 on the opening days - basically here your rant is about the lack of maps & weapons. There is not a single word about gunplay, movement, game mechanics, glitches, dynamic, strategy, teamplay, atmosphere/music - because they were good. We just needed more content, which is fine, because at the end of all things we had tons of maps and weapons and progression and everything. Whereas with 2042 the problems are at its core.

Hey Joe, as a cool side note, Tanks from every nation did have "fast" bullets as an option... they were called HVAP (High Velocity Armor Piercing) or APCR (Armor Piercing Composite Rigid). These rounds were very similar to modern Sabot rounds in that they were sub caliber rounds, just usually without a sabot. IIRC, the 76mm gun on the later Shermans had an HVAP round that was 57mm in diameter at the penetrator. Also, APDS (Armor Piercing Discarding Sabot) is a thing, as is APFSDS (Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot) which I guess could be called "Fast Bullets!" :) They really should have called "Fast Bullets" something else, like overloaded rounds, as that is a thing (think 9mm +P or +P+ rounds) which had additional powder in a standard case.

For the vehicles the best they can add is just maybe a half track or possibly like they had the atry truck in BF4 they can add the katyusha or the german version of it.

You can get faster bullets irl but that’s not a good mechanic unless you’re going down the full route by implementing bullet weights amounts of powder different bullet types or shapes etc

I think every game should have a mix of small, medium, and large maps. You could have a small map in the streets of Stalingrad with several story buildings you have to clear, and huge dday and market garden maps. It shouldn't only be little maps in a city in Denmark or something

To be fair you could have faster custom bullets if they have better aerodynamics/more powder but this didn't happen in the main armies.
