The true account goes. One day a couple of poor blokes from Warwickshire were sitting in a trench on the front lines of the Battle of the Bulge. When out of no where A British voice calls out "Grenade! In German!" One of the poor blokes popped his head out of his fox hole promptly saying "What the devil?". A potato masher hand grenade strikes their sweet golden nectar, hot tea, spilling it out onto the frozen ground staining the snow. No one truly knows what happened next, for all the English men within one hundred miles saw only red.

I remember playing "World in Flames" (Boardgame with a rulesbook of about 175 pages) and having enormous luck with the very crappy Italian troops. Oh, was the English player frustrated. We played in my home, so I had the Italian Anthem playing quite some time. I was with the Japanese & Italians. The German player did quit after a few weeks gameplay, so I had to manage all the axis. Everybody hated me. Good times.

As silly as they are trying to be, ordinary guys like this would have been conscripted during the world wars and I imagine the banter would have had a similar tone to it as well. On top of that we are so used to watching war films with grainy effects and ambient sounds added to make it 'feel gritty' or old black and ***** footage, however, filming it like this better represents how it would have looked to the people there. It has an odd realism to it.

Odd flex on Ea there but I get it. Also, recently listened to a twenty year old recording of a man talking about his time fighting during the great war. From what he has said it seems you are right. Lastly, my grandfather served in the Korean war and honestly he and the guys would kinda horse around at their M.A.S.H unit. He was a field medic stationed at a M.A.S.H. unit and would sometimes replace other medics, check on people at the front line, or his platoon would go on a patrol. Although, it seems he mostly served at the M.A.S.H unit.

Would ramming a parachuting pilot and using a wounded soldier as bait for medics to kill them against the convention?

These uniforms and webbing are literally 1000x more accurate than the ones in the game😂😂. Seriously though their are brits in the game with American gear (canteens, suspenders etc) and it really bothers me.

They are American soldiers. The army in the game isn’t called the British, it’s called the Allies. The whole allied side is one big faction. Which is technically more accurate, there weren’t really battles in WWII between only 2 countries with no help from others.

Harry D I play the game all the time. It says allies, they just currently don’t have more accents. Maybe that will come later. But it’s meant to be a shared allied faction.

Harry D I mostly disagree up until the point where you said there is no sea warfare. This is true and I am disappointed about that. But I don’t think map/weapon/vehicle wise it has less than BF1. It has more weapons than battlefield 1 at launch because 2/3 of BF1s launch guns were “variants” (the same exact gun and same model with like a sight added or a grip.) BFV has wayyyy more vehicles than BF1 does even now after all it’s DLC. And I don’t think the maps are smaller aside from Fjell and Devastation. But Narvik is same size as shanghai, Rotterdam is same size as Zavod, Hamada is same size as Golmud, Fjell is same size as Operation Locker but with planes. Panzerstorm is fricking huge, like Silk Road or Sinai Desert huge, etc. Plus the practice range is a thousand times better than BF4’s and BF1 didn’t even have one. But when it comes to sea warfare, I agree... there is none. And there should be some. BUT. BFV had a much much smoother launch than BF4, anyone can admit that. Hint: BFV didn’t commit seppuku as soon as you started it up on launch day. And the Tides of War live service seems to be pretty good. First tide is already released less than a month after launch and it already added: a new map, multiple new weapons, a new war story, a new Practice Range mode, vehicle paints, plane nose arts, a few outfits, and community missions. All in one live service update. Less than a month after launch. If they keep this up, they are going places.
