Battlefield has never had the greatest campaigns as far as 1st person shooters go (even tho they definitely have some good ones) it dosent bother me too much that they are focusing more on the Multiplayer. And with the leaked new 3rd mode being a mode where you can use weapons from every Battlefield game they need the extra development

Dice dont usually fucked up their games, BFV was the first but even so it is a great game according to my friend who plays it. Up until Battlefield V, all BF were great.

@@KaoruMzk Yes, broken on launch, but now are considered among the best battlefields of the franchise. It's not about how you start, it's about how you finish and you do to ensure you finish strong. Though, that's not an excuse to release games that aren't ready. Let us hope that they have truly learned from the past on Battlefield 2042. I'm hoping EA understands how absurdly important Battlefield actually is this time around

I agree with you on charging 70$, i play on pc which is 60$, but still, 70$ doesnt mean it's gonna be a bad game, i personaly am happy that there's no campaign, and if the rumors are true about bf1942, bf2, bc2, bf3 and bf4 maps are getting remastered by DICE LA and we can also use weapons and vehicles from those games, i would gladly pay 70$ for that.

Remember Battlefront? Everyone quit due to not enough content. I'm just afraid that there isn't enough to carry it long term; I hope I'm wrong as I want then to return to form. They should include BF4 maps too to bulk it up some.

It made me smile seeing Dice add the C4 Jihad Jeep gimmick to this trailer. Dice is starting to realize what us Battlefield fans truly want.

It's really the Publishers that get in the way. Not the devs. Devs have little control of the monetization as the publishers give the money to the devs to create the game. All Respect to the devs for creating and sacrficing their time into game. Publishers are just the wallstreet guys that make the sacrifice of spending money on a project.

I think freeing themselves from providing a campaign will alleviate the release problems they had with the previous games because they don't have to divert time and resources into a campaign. With the increasing complexity of games these days, it just takes more time and resources to have single player and multiplayer packaged in a complete functioning game. I believe this time around there will be less issues at the start.

I mean if they’re high quality good and well received maps there isn’t a whole lot of issues, battlefield 4 had the railroad and tower map, and that was about it that was really played long term, if the maps are of that quality it shouldn’t be an issue

The live service is a fine idea for me, personally. Reportedly, what you will pay for will be cosmetics, and that's it. Actually playing the game itself, and new maps, will be free. Is that subject to change? Possibly. We'll have to see

@@widefidler1 All dlc is free now and people complain about paying more? You payed for premium in the past, now you get it free. Battlepasses is the marketing strategy, would you rather lootboxes? Companies will always monetize their product and battlepass, whether you like it or not, are much better than any previous marketing for the consumer. Also, people don't play campaign, if they did they DICE wouldnt have gotten rid of it. They've been mediocre except for bc series and a waste of development time.

Same way apex monetized its game. They've already announced 4 battlepasses and specialist are similar to legends with their ability. Not the worst way to monatize honestly, if they add maps each season with new weapons it'll be perfect. DICE LA has been working on post launch content for a year apparently so it should be ready.

Every weapon has unique ammo, the ammo can only be bought in a loot box which has a random amount and type of ammo in it.

Maybe the Rocket taking off comes back down to the Battlefield nukes it and we all respawn in a crater map of wreckage for the next half of the game

I mean... I usually would agree but BF campaigns have never been good enough anyway. If they can save those resources (time and money) and instead use them to improve multiplayer (just like this is promising) then it's a good compromise. The Battlefield 1 campaign had good ideas and great cinematics but in terms of narrative it was very mediocre and forgettable. MP on the other hand...

It’s just another battlefield multiplayer. If it was 30$ it’s a no brainier. But 60$ seems harsh. It’s 60$ and in addition to that a season pass and so on as usual. Not worth it. I love multiplayer only games, I love Rocket League, but it was never 60$ to begin with for example. There isn’t as much value here in my opinion. But I could be totally wrong too. We have to wait and see, but currently I don’t see anything special or anything that is worth 60$ or 70$ on consoles.

Bf3* rush sucked in bf4 last I remember

The rocket affects that map by crashing btw, failed launch destroys a lot of the map

When a apache gunship is in a battlefield game you know it going to be good. Love the lift bit calm before the storm.

For the ship, I think it is because all the smoke that comes out when it launches, it will cover the whole map and drop the visibility down a good bit (like when the building gets taken down on Siege Of Shanghai)

Considering maps are supposed to be the size of Verdansk, I'd be wiling to bet the rocket can launch and take out another section of the map, changing an objective point in Conquest or completely decimating it so you can't respawn there or enter the area.

this looks sick as hell, might be a battlefield year rather than cod after all

Cod is more of competitive and fast pace game while battlefield is environment map and a little slow pace gameplay and of course chaos of the game is what make battlefield the best game

Cod is boring. I had to force myself to play it. Just ended up uninstalling the game.

I can't wait for this to be not even close to finished on launch. Do not forget every time Dice has screwed us over in the past several years.

People haven't learn their lesson. They get hyped on the trailers and cry to the sky when the unfinished product comes out at launch. They don't understand that they have become a part of the problem, because EA and DICE know where to tickle them. Shame, shame, shame.

Remember guys... *NO PRE ORDERS!* I know it looks good and juicy but just WAIT

Wish I could still get excited for their releases, but I’ve grown tired of their bug/performance riddled launches, then by the time the game is good they are more than halfway developing the next game and the community and developers have moved on from the current one. If they dropped the price 30 bucks it may be worth it.

I think freeing themselves from providing a campaign will alleviate the release problems they had with the previous games because they don't have to divert time and resources into a campaign. With the increasing complexity of games these days, it just takes more time and resources to have single player and multiplayer packaged in a complete functioning game. I believe this time around there will be less issues at the start.

ah yes....the cynic. BFV failed for a multitude of reasons, nobody was playing and instead playing battlefront 2. that game outlasted BFV and still has a healthy playerbase to this day. This looks like a return to good form

@@TheGroveinator thats because it sold terribly due to bad marketing and controversy around what they said to their community. "Don't like it dont buy it", and calling the community idiots and uneducated, I guarantee this game won't be on sale its first 3 months.

There are times where you can tell that a game is going to be good from the trailer alone, I think this is one of them

I reckon if the last couple have games have taught us some important lessons; one of them is definitely to reinstate the separation of normal mode and hardcore mode and have them both finished, supported with official servers and ready to go at the games launch. Nobody could agree on the last game's TTK and the use of custom servers to stand in for HC/NM was a bit of a nausea at times so lets just do away with the hate and have a hardcore mode and a normal mode like the BFs of old. Really hope this is the one to turn things around. We're talking 8 years now since the last really great BF.

You call of duty guys have to understand battlefield is not a call of duty replacement. They are completely different games with different experiences. Every once in a while even call of duty fanboys need a break from call of duty.

The weapon customization in midgame reminds me a lot of Warface.... AND I LOVE IT !!!

2:32 didn't they say sometimes it'll blow up and rain atmospheric fire down on the Battlefield, while other times it'll be a successful launch?

I can't wait to see the buggy mess that this game would be at launch, with only 7 multiplayer maps and costing probably over 60$ before we get to the battle passes and live service bs. I will wait to see the hype in the fanbase then. EA and DICE are giving less for more and you people clap and say it's good. I'm very confused at this point.

How is this exactly comparable to Bad Company and not BF3 or 4? And it's great it doesn't have single player. What was your first BF game? Mine was BF Vietnam and BF2, not the Vietnam expansion for Bad Company 2, but the BF Vietnam way before. Those were the games that had no single player, and that's how I always saw Battlefield, as multiplayer only game that was better than CoD. The only single player worthy game is Bad Company series, otherwise BF should stay multiplayer only.

They could of done a cheap sp but make it like battlefield 2 so you spawn back as another soldier when you die.

Are there lootboxes? I hated how the unlocking guns and attachments worked after BF3. I liked getting attachments for the guns I used by getting kills, headphones etc. Not a random number generator.

I recall another fps showcasing a grappling hook, but garnered a different reaction. Hmmm. Weird.
