BF1942 Breda 30: Pretty much real life,just the mag(I know, it's from 2002,so this kinda pardon the game) that is not detachable, it's foldable. CoD WWII Breda 30: Faster than MG42,but got the reload right. But the fricking fire rate doesn't pardon it.

It's amazing how much DICE's research on the weapons has evolved overtime, from all the mistakes and inaccuracies from this game, to even adding in a lot of detail on weapons mechanics in BFV. Props to them putting in the effort

I remember playing the Desert Storm mod for this, was a great time

There's aiming down the sights mod for this game but very hard to find I had it years ago

I think it was taken from Medal of Honor Allied Assault, which had came out that same year earlier under EA Games.

If only the breda modello 30 had that detachable MAG...

1. Some of gun are Mirrored 2. Pistol Reload are weird you could eject 1 round 3. Incorrectly closed bolt 4. Hammer never cocked 5. Shotgun bolt and M1 Garand must be locked back

It's about the animation. In every fps game, the weapon is "clipped" to one of the hands, usually right hand. Therefore, when you use the clipping hand to reload, the weapon would want to stick to that hand, leading to glitchy reload animations. Nowadays, developers can somehow counter this, but back then, this was simply impossible.

Both Wrong, it's just cuz it was simplier to animate, there is no "Clipping" Animation are based bones and attachments and can be modified at will, it's just very time consuming, and these were manually animated, so they went for simplier, sleaker animation that is also better timed with ingame mechanics of reload. Now we have just better tools and better 3d artists who can spare more time on such things and have better research behind for most part. Back then these things didnt matter that much, CS 1.6 is extreme example of it with it's silly left handed guns in right hand and totally inaccurate animations of some of hte gun's parts, like M4 which is just stupid

They actually changed the mg42 sound some patches in, never understood why. The original was superior to this one, imo.
