The only "Review" I'd seen from beginning to end. Short , informative, clear, enterteining! I'd personally like to see a lot more of those, preferably different machines, different style and NOT only brand new or 20k + range, more of real world stuff. Thanks for the great content.
I've ridden both of these. I now own a XR, couldn't be more happy about my choice!

Unless you own both you can’t really grade them fairly.

They are using a Gen.1 XR against a new gen Ducati
This is the best review format I've ever seen, please keep doing this style. The Brain 🧠 is in the house.

yeah - hearing your different opinions is enlightening. thx!
These are the reviews we want. love them , thanks boys
This format is really enjoyable to watch! Keep up the great work!! Cheers from Portugal mate.
I love this versus video!! Both opinions are pretty reasonable and understandeble. Please, do more of it!!
More of this VS kind of reviews please! Loved this!
You guys are hilarious and probably the only video I’ve listened to without looking at the comments. Just an honest, funny, well shot and informative video. Kudos sirs😎
I got the 2022 S1000xr and the old one you got there is outdated. A lot of improvements including the vibration and the weight. Also, lights, M chain, TFT, muffler, etc.
Loved this! Keep doing this style of videos please!
wow for me guys just the number one pro review of the years the camera angle the way you talk about the bikes covering every aspect of those bikes just a pro job keep those video coming.
Great video! I really appreciate the fact that we can hear two different views of the same bikes in a single video. Thanks!
OC: Dope, way to come back strong my dude! Also team blue, I want that sportiness on the street and the Ducati feels like a compromise between the beamer and a ktm.
Great video! you can do this video again with the 2020 BMW S1000XR with the Ducati Multistrada V4 2021! really great!
Great vid guys! Both are great bikes but two different critters! Love the format
This format is a keeper! More please.
Chanel is back, thanks God i love your movie's and personality bro
Love these videos keep doing them ❤
Glad to see it sorted out and you back to prime content
Great video guys, loved it. I test rode both these bikes and recently ended up buying the Multistrada and absolutely love it. I found the suspension on the BM was just a bit too stiff and the riding position wasn’t as comfortable but damn it was a fast bike!
OC. Best review vs. video ever!!!! keep it going for sure!!!🤟🏻
Loved the video. Very well made and to the point. Just wish you include even more detailed shots of the bikes in question and not just shots of you guys riding.
Absolutely loved this vs style video 👍👍
Would really love to see you guys compare 2020 vs 2020 (or now 2021 vs 2021) when you do these comparisons.

Exactly this is a worthless comparison
OC - Great format. Could rotate with Brian, Luke and Beau... Hell, you guys on a road trip or ADV trip would be entertaining as well. Glad we got our channel back.
Oc! Love the comparison I’d watch more of these 👍
I’ve owned both. Both are great bikes, similar but different. XR, corners and brakes better, better and more plentiful accessories, better dealer back-up, manic sportsbike engine. 1260S. Calmer and quieter engine, smaller and lighter, bags more torque, quicker and easier to ride in day-to-day riding. Slightly nervous front end.
Loved this VS format
That is what a good comparison is all about: how a bike feels compared to the other. We can all read specs, whereas feel is the information we can't have in the specs sheet. Very good, guys.
More vs videos plz, this type of content is what I'm looking for
Very nice review. Based on that I decided to go for the Multistrada 1260. Yes the 4-in line is smoother. I have also Z1000SX as well. Kawasaki, best 4-in line I have ever had. But the knee angle is to tight ( I am getting older). That is why I looked for something more relaxed to be placed on. And yes Ducati V2 DVT is just a nice machine, even though a low revs its not perfect. But do I want a BMW GS. No not yet... And the V4 is quite expensive and also needs revs. Design of the 1260 is simply fantastic including the paniers. Thank you guys nice job.

Have the exhaust emissions valve in the exhaust removed and it smooths out the low revs. It’s like a different bike
Yes do more comparison. I'm bias because I have MS 950s, but you can't go wrong with the XR. Nice work guys 👍🏽
i LOVE hearing both of you all's stand points on the bikes. Good content right here my man.

Cheeech, thats such a nice, calm and packed comparison. Very Well done, greets from Deutschland.
This format is amazing.
Great video, this just shows that the things you may not like about a bike, could be exactly what the other person is looking for.
OC: This is a great format would love to see a lot more of these. Team XR but only barely.
Great video. I tour on an S1000RR and agree with Brian for most things. Especially the vibrations, after 15,000km this year, I developed a vibration injury in my right hand and had to take couple weeks off. I’m just glad it wasn’t arm pump from the track!
Very useful to have differing opinions, perspectives, and comprehensive talking points. Kind of on the market for an XR (maybe) so this was quite helpful
I love this new style of vs video.
Cool idea for a series of videos moving forward✌️
Superb... Keep uploading more of this vs stuff... The multi is definitely buck for the bang...v4 multi will be a better option to try and review next
Great review! Two solid bikes, toss in the V2s, Tracer 9 GT, and the F900XR for the ultimate shootout
man i love the view, it's just like a movie scene. love it ❤️🔥
This review is top quality! Some on board clips with engine sound on inspiring roads is all that's missing. Still a 5/5 review. Been contemplating the XR since I rode it 2019, I guess I need to test ride the Multi (1200) as well. Just feels so top heavy in the show rooms.
Well gosh damn call it a Good Friday when a new C2W vid pops in feed, think I just peed a little from excitement 🥴

OC: Team Red....gotta stick with the basket case you know!
Yes, please! I like this content. I would love to try either bike. Merry Christmas from snowy Northern Ontario Canada.
OC! Team Blue for me. I love both bikes, but BMW just takes the win in terms of engineering. And I love this style of comparison video with you guys. Two different riders, with different riding backgrounds and preferences, with different levels of experience and knowledge, it delivers a really enjoyable magazine style feature. It would also be interesting to see the two of you doing a "deep dive" on any particular bike, essentially with Chase giving First Ride style impressions, and Brian giving tidbits of in-depth knowledge about various interesting items on the bike in question, such as explaining any of it's unique tech or engineering, or performance characteristics, or history.
good idea , liking it , cheers lads
Very nice video. You should also do vs videos with low displacement bikes for your EU fam.
I like the "versus" style video. Please do more, thanks.
Brian is a smart man. i had the opportunity to buy the Ducati and after riding it i ended up buying the BMW. O.T
As a 4x Ducati Multistrada owner, I would definitely buy the BMW S1000XR. Both are great machines with different personalities. Can't loose with either.
Excellent thanks guys
Love to hear Brian feedback !
this is great - I think you should put some quantities beyond which one I like more. just to see if you add in another Touring style to compare it too. anyway keep it up cheers.
I have owned both the 1260S Multistrada (May 2019 to July 2020) and now have the 2020 model BMW S1000XR, The Multistrada had cold starting issues (It intermittently wouldn't start when temp below 5 degree's C) despite 3 visits over several months the dealer could not find the problem, and the colder the weather the worse the problem was, not great for an everyday bike, but it did almost everything else well to be honest, part ex changed it for the BMW S1000XR in July 2020 due to the unreliability issues and am very happy with my choice, the suspension and other system's are infinitely more adjustable on the Ducati where as the BMW's suspension is a little more basic, But the BMW has been super reliable and not missed a beat in 4500 miles of summer and winter riding.
Please do this again next year with the new version of the XR and the V4S.

from what i've seen and read, the new XR has some great improvements over this generation.

That's right, I have already tested the new one, the first thing I noticed is that the suspension has not improved much compared to the previous model, so it remains hopelessly behind on the Multistrada. by the way, they also have certain things that are even much worse than on the previous model. Take the saddle now. Whether you use the original saddle or a steel plate, that's the same thing, way but way too hard, how do you get it in your head to place something like this on a touring bike.
One of my all time favourite bikes have been the bmw s1000r so the xsr is what id probably go with
OC, it's the V twin noise that made me get a multi. It's my first bike and I like to ride long distance. I just love that sound!!
Also, this style of video is fantastic.
This I like. Subscribed! 🤟🙏
Greetings from Snowy Freezin-Baltic Scotland! I'm liking this style of video guys. Just changed my 2017 Street Triple 765R for a 2015 Multistrada 1200S with a full Titanium Termi system and upmap (LOUD AF!!) My Ducati doesn't have a Quick shifter like my Triumph did tho (Up only and Slip and Assist clutch) I think the Triumph Quick shifters are a happy medium between being too light and too agricultural. It felt smooth, but mechanical if u know what I mean! The new model S1000XR screen is lovely and it doesn't have the asymmetric headlights that play havoc with my OCD! 😂 Multistrada is a thing of beauty tho. 😍
Great Video. 👍 I wish that you could review the BMW F900XR.
OC RED TEAM... One day I'll have my own Multistrada 950s. I really like it! I commented this same thing in your previous review on the Pikes Peak Edition! One day....... ¡Anyway, Great review !
I really enjoy the difference 0pion 8t really shows and highlights to the reader that no bike is 'better' it's a matter of preference you should do more vs. Vids
OC: I really enjoyed this VS video a lot. I also liked that it was mostly B-roll with voice over so I dont have to listen to as much wind noise / helmet audio.
Love the VS review format. I know you can only test what bike are available, but it should be noted that the XR got a ground up makeover in 2020. The updated XR has the TFT dash among other things. And one thing I wonder in relation to the complaints of the XR's suspension stiffness, since the XR was used do you know if the suspension preload setting was touched by the previous owner? Actually for fairness when comparing a used bike against a new one in a format like this, maybe in the future consider adjusting the proload to the user manual recomendation? Even fully electronic adjustible suspension responds well to a properly adjusted mechanical preload setting that corosponds to the riders weight. All that said in defence of the BMW, a fair ammount of XR owners traded their pre 2020 XR's in for Multistrada's after Ducati gave it the 2018 makeover. That right there says how much better the multi is/was over the XR. I wonder if the new XR can hold its own today?

Exactly...why would you compare old gen BMW against new Ducati?
Definitely like this format of conversational with film. OC
Both great bikes and the only way I could decide was which one gave me the biggest smile.........Ducati!!
I’ve driven many bikes in my life, when I was driving an Harley Davidson ultra limited edition there was told me that I could drive an American dream and it was a nice bike to be honest, but not for me at all. My dream bike was when I drove the ducati multistrada 1200s I didn’t want drive any other bike any more the looks the driving the power and the handling it’s just the perfect bike I ever drove in my life now I own one. And I couldn’t be more happy about it it depends by person one like Harley one likes Bmw the one likes Ducati. And it is good that every one has an different choice. It wouldn’t also not be nice if we all would like only one woman though. Enjoy your driving and drive safe for all
I crossed shopped both bikes in 2016. At the time I had a 2012 BMW S1000RR and a 2015 S1000R, so I was leaning toward the XR, and so I rode it first, but I found the vibes in the XR to be unbearable, for me at least. I then rode the Multistrada, and knew it was perfect for me, and how I wanted to use the bike (mostly touring). I’ve got over 20k miles on the Duc now, and I love it. Looking forward to trying the V4 Multistrada.
Kudos to the guy with the camera on the van. Multistrada never looked this beautiful!
OC: this is 👌👌 i love hearing Bryan’s thoughts hahaha. Bryan-beemer Chase-biscotti boy hahahaha.

I really like this style of content. If possible I would like to see a comparison with a GSX-S 1000f.
Hey, try out the cool black Brixton 500! Which one would u take, the Brixton 500 or Husqvarna 401 vitpilen?
O.C. I really like this format, but I think you could improve it. For instance, you could ride to a destination, sit down and have a chat about the bikes, then finish the ride and then go over all the different points at the end (braking, ergonomics, etc.). Really good job, keep it up! Oh, and Team Blue (Sorry, Chase).
Great vid, I would vote for vfr1200f Vs k1300s two of my fav bikes
Thank God for showing me that I will buy one for myself
This review was done with old versions of these bikes. Would be interesting to have this VS done with current versions.
Oc: team red. I prefer the simplicity of the tech & more premium look Great video, love this style of comparisons
I like the vs concept
The manual Ohlins on the Multistrada PP adds a lot of stability and confidence to the front.
OC: I enjoyed this style alot.
Any chance you guys could ride a recent model Kawi Ninja 1000SX against another sport tourer? the SX sounds like a great value
OC: Do more. More, more, more.
Excellent vid on differences. Definitely two different rides I own a 2017 Multi and have ridden the XR numerous times. Although I love the no dive brake grasps. Multi true character BMW more subtle but easy to ride pure sport bike.

More versus videos!
Multistrada looks better but I would go with the BMW. Ducatis in general also give out more heat during stop and go traffic and are more expensive to maintain.
the quickshifters are fun but annoying as hell it makes finding Neutral 10x harder
I pretty much %100 disagree with everything Chase likes about these bikes lol. The other guy is my type of rider.
Very good video. To be fair though, you guys compared a 2020 Multistrada to a 2018 XR. Some things like the dash, suspension and motor changed in the 2020 XR. If it feels "old", it's because it is comparatively old. OC!
love it♥️
OC:Never ridden either, but given how Brian described the ride of the BMW ... Team Blue between these two.
I like this method a lot because it pairs two bikes that should be relatively similar against each other. It's like getting two first rides at once, but with less time. OC- team red
Really well presented and interesting, with intelligent input. For me, there ultimately are 4 types of bike,, off-road, on road, track and show off cruisers. I ride a BMW1250R as it is brilliant on the road, which for the majority is of most use. I would not dare take it off road, and not interested in the track, and ride it to enjoy roads at legal speeds and scenery, not to show off (my wife wants me to get a Harley). In terms of performance it competes very well, even on par, with sports bikes, on the road that is. This is a really good on road video. What would I choose?. I am a BMW fan, bit the mutlistrada is such a lovely looking bike. Ultimately, I suppose both will reward a road rider.
OC idk man, i agree 100% with Brian, i too like a bike that gives me hard honest unfiltered feedback from the road..but on the other hand we have a ducati that for some reason doesn't feel as "clinical" as the BMW, the XR feels a lot like a computer while the ducati well..feels like a bike
