Hindi naman -Ilocano here. I'm in South.. If you live in south, there's really a different ambiance and vibe here. Most people are kind. Way of living is much better...especially filinvest city that has is half city and half nature, bgc, tagaytay city... I love to stay here.

Let’s make this clear, most of the water here in the south comes from Angat Dam so, no thank you La Mesa Dam. When there was a water shortage most of the south was not affected. TEAM SOUTH!!! TEAM LIGO!!!

Matti Mori valenzuela and marikina po ang cleaniest. Thou sa green... north padin eh kasi nasa north ang ilang palayan pa. Tapat lang namin. Fresher ang air sa north unlike sa south ang hassle din ng byahe.

I lived in the South throughout my life but studied in the North for 4 years, and I can still say that the quality of life in the South is far superior than in the North. The South life will always have that laid-back life since it has an urban yet provincial atmosphere. It has cleaner air and greener, better landscapes, since urban developers compensate the lack of urban planning in the North by building it here in the South.

What I like about living in the south is that it's not as crowded as manila plus tagaytay is eco-friendly because it's like you are living in a forest full of civilization. Unlike in manila, there isn't much opportunities there.

Before I consider myself as a North person but when my brother went to Makati for work and I went with him and yeah I want to consider myself as a south person cause living in North is very exhausting while in south, it's exhausting yes but very relaxing and calm. QC was once called the land of the stars now I called it the dying city. Lmao. Infrastructures are so old anytime it could break down while Makati is kind of version of NYC. City that never sleeps.

A Northener thing tho. Quick to temper, impulsive, maangas, resorting to physical means and being friends after a good round. Pretty much Northeners rin in GoT lol

As someone living in Visayas, hearing things about the traffic there makes me anxious and I'm not saying that the traffic here is any better but, dang, cant imagine myself sitting in a car for hourss

The old situation before for example: The distance in Metro Manila similar to Lapu Lapu Mactan Airport to Talisay side of SRP would take you 3 hours, But in Cebu its only 1 hour and 35 minutes (from my experience) Right now it's just 25 minutes Im not saying NCR Traffic is good, but the situation is significantly better. EDSA isn't like the typical Rush Hour Friday Pre Pandemic now, The skyway definitely helped

As someone who studies in the south (I stay there for the weekdays) and was born in the north (I go home in the weekends). Hirap pumili which one is better. Hehe, best of both worlds!

@@alcapone9850 LOL! Funny thing, Region 3 which is North of Manila has 250k hectares of Forest Cover whereas Region 4A South of Manila only has 98.83 And to add, the greener or mountainous parts of Rizal and Quezon isn't actually South but East of Manila, so minus green points nanaman sa south. 😅🤭

Kinda lucky that we live in the "somewhat central area" of Metro Manila - Mandaluyong City, so accessible pa rin going to ATC and TriNoma. :) I like both, magkaiba yun atmosphere ng North and South. But ibang story rin ang West side and East side. :D

for the North people, here are the list of some places in the South that you can visit to relieve your stress from traffics and pollutions 😉😆 ATC, Festival Mall, Bf Homes, Commerce Ave., Lakefront Sucat, Sunken Garden, Evia Daang-Hari and Westgate Alabang. enjoy!!! 😊

I used to live in the South. Paranaque to be specific for almost 5 years. Then, QC, in Scout Area for the past 7 years. Yes, may MOA, Ayala, and BGC sa South kaso kasi what I love sa QC is marami talagang puno dito. Mas fresh ang environment unlike sa South na mausok, mainit, at di magagandang mga pavements lalo na sa Pasay.

I have friends na tga north and pag magmimeet kaming group, laging kami ang pinapunta sa places near them. Pero pag sila ayaw nila pumunta sa places near samin sa south kasi malayo daw and traffic. Well kami din naman malayo samin ung mga places nila and mas marami kaming traffic na pagdadaanan. South peeps always adjust para sa mga friends nila sa north kahit mas maraming chill na places dito sa south. We’re flexible and adaptable and agile. And mas mahirap mag commute from south to north. South peeps are more chill and laid-back. We also have malls now na pde i-compare sa malls sa north. ATC, SM Southmall, Southwoods Mall and the new Robinson’s Galleria South. But the end of the day, kahit saan ka man mang galing, I think both places are good to visit. Like what he said, if you’re with the right people, di mo na iisipin kung saan at magkano. It’s the memories and fun moments together ang importante 😊

i'm living in Q.C for 21 yrs yet I never knew that Makati is located at south lmfao. kaya pala tamad na tamad ako pumunta ng Makats if i have an appointment there, cause it feels like i'm traveling to nearby province bcz of traffic lol. I should really study the fcking map of NCR.

If we are going to disregard west, central or east, the true boundary separating North and South Metro Manila would be PASIG RIVER and not Ortigas. From someone who lives in Southern Metro Manila (Parañaque) and frequently venture Uptown, yes The South has a more laidback atmosphere. Your options for commuting is much less in The South especially around PQ-LP-MN. So those who live in The North have more experience commuting. Honestly, the air is fresher in The South as it has less dirty industries. CAMANAVA is full of dirty industries. Alabang Town Centre is much older than UP Town and has better varieties plus restaurants. Tagaytay is closer to Southern Metro Manila just like how Baguio is to some extent, closer to those living in "The North" as well as Subic Bay. Makati is not technically "South" as well as BGC. And while I described Pasig River as the boundary, South more applies to PQ-LP-MUN. Of course QC has the better nightlife than Southern Metro Manila meaning PQ-LP-MUN. North has Maginhawa while South has Aguirre Ave. Northerners have easy access to Antipolo and have bars overlooking Metro Manila. But Southerners can now easily access Antipolo from C-6. But again, there are many restaurants in Tagaytay that have a great view of Metro Manila especially around Crosswinds. Prices in BF are also similar to Maginhawa or Katip. I live in BF Homes but frequently eat in Maginhawa. Meetups between South and North People are always in Makati or BGC though Northerners insist in Ortigas or even Robinson's Magnolia. Southerners heading to the city do pay toll but again, we have service roads and other ways to get to downtown. Some Northerners do have to pay toll when heading to the city especially those living in Valenzuela. Northerners and even those living in Makati will not venture to ATC, Festival or Southmall for their commercial needs but Southerners will go up North for theirs. Overall, I still prefer South!

Mali naman kasi sa South, your ATC is your ATC already. Pwede talaga siyang point of reference ng South when calculating what's the midpoint. Sa North, it's really not Trinoma. There's so much more pa in the North - malayo pa yung Fairview!!!! Kaya hindi Glorietta ang Midpoint! hahaah
