Nabieva has the best one without doubt. She is the only one who can keep her feet streatched and her layout position stays the same during all the skill unlike the others.

I kept cringing at the feet not pointing although there still so amazing it’s just that was the cherry on top

It’s so nice when the creator of the movement has the best form and execution!

I wish we could see Gabby Douglas do this skill. Would have looked so beautiful with her height!

Nabieva is the only one who doesn’t flex her feet as she passes the bar. Suni is definitely second place though!

@@jgsh8062 I actually wouldn't agree with that (esp since the screen cap in the video shows Nina catching with bent arms and Sunisa with stretched arms) but also because Suni has a straighter shape overall and catches the bar a little higher

it’s so obvious to tell that during the second stage of flight shown, that nabieva was still in laid-out shape, while everyone else was piked. she remains open throughout and had no pike whatsoever. nabieva has the best one.

Nabieva clearly because she keeps an open position the whole way. Suni seems to have improved. She keeps her hips pretty straight and doesn’t seem to separate her legs as much as she did last year. I’m surprised Nina can do this as well as she does, given her height. Elena seems to have a little more closed hips than the rest.

Everyone but Nabieva is getting flexed feet and closed hips (piked position) on all of them. Nabieva is stretched and completely open for the entire skill. I don’t understand why they don’t stretch, they all seem to have the room for that.

Nabieva's layout is so open she arches even as she goes over the bar, which is beautiful. Suni and Nina hollow out their layouts early, which isn't as pretty but must be much safer, especially for the catch. E.g,, if they mis-time the skill and/or are too close to the bar, they are upright earlier, ready, looking at the bar while Nabs' head is still thrown back. Notice their hands/arms are in front of their bodies throughout while Nabs' arms are behind her body until right before she catches.Elena's is the only one I'd called piked.

@@NG-fg6qf Right, but a hollow body position is still a form deduction. Safety aside, Nabieva's form is completely 180° and over, for the whole element. Cant say that for Nina or Suni.

There must be a confidence aspect to it no? It seems Nabieva is always certain of clearing the bar

Nabieva looks so much more relaxed in the air, maintaining a straight body for a longer period of time and without a lot of “jerky” muscular movements in the air to complete the skill.

Nina Derwael is tall for a gymnast, so that makes this skill especially impressive for her

There's just something satisfying about Nabieva doing Nabieva like Kayla Ross doing double lay out or Mckayla Maroney doing the Amanar

For me all of them have a very nice ones, however Tatiana has such an amazing one. Very high, toe pointed, perfect body position on the air and catching the bar! All are fabulous gymnasts;)

Wow Nabieva's heal drive is crazy

Only US gymnasts that have ever really gained enough height for this move would be Dawes with the height on her hindorf, Kupets or Douglas, they all had incredible height on their reverse hecht release moves and they all astounded international judges with their exceptional height and could have each thrown a Nabieva and kept their toes pointed.

i think if mckayla maroney had trained more on bars she could do an amazing nabieva. her gienger was so high and her form was so clean even though we didn’t see it that often

There are some differences between each of them, but overall pretty dang good. I’m so pumped for the stalder-nabieva, clear hip-nabieva, nabieva-half, and most of all the nabieva-full.

Y’all gotta go watch Sanne Wever’s nabeiva, she points her toes throughout the whole thing and her form is fantastic. She hasn’t competed it yet but it looks really good in training right now.

Nabieva’s is definitely the best. Full extended stretch with toe point. Suni’s would be second. Its not as extended as Tatiana’s but it is straight until the toes. Nina’s too round in her shoulders and upper back so its not as straight as Suni’s. Even though the both have their heads forward Suni manages to keep her torso in line better. Elena would be fourth because she has to most pike in the hips. Hers goes past a hollow layout into the gray pike-layout zone.

suni’s is definitely my favorite because her flexibility makes it just look so fluid and effortless

Nabieva clears the bar in the opposite way as the others (slightly arched instead of slightly piked with flexed feet) and hers is the more appealing to watch.

As a dancer, I would definitely say Nabieva - she’s the only one who points her feet in the air. Other than that, they all look fairly similar.

I don’t know, that’s a tough call. I like them all best for different reasons! . . . If I _had_ to choose a winner, Nabieva, because she maintains her layout best throughout flight. The others are all tied for 2nd for different pro/con reasons . . . Weeeeelll, Eremina would probably have to be in 4th. She pikes the most and toes/ankles break most . . .

Tho I think Nabieva does it the best you have to note that she does catch the bar at a lower angle than all the other girls. They are all parallel to the ground on the catch whereas shes is at an angle. I suppose that's just a consequence of keeping her shoulders back to maintain the layout position though.

Sanne Wevers’ clear hip circle to Nabieva is pretty fabulous . . . Even seems to keep her toes pointed . . .

THESE WERE DONE UNDER TREMENDOUS PRESSURE) 1st Nabieva 2nd Suni Lee/Elena Eremina 3rd Ilyankova/Derwael (remember tho Derwael is a taller gymnast so that must be much harder for her to have made the skill look as good as she has.

Would love to say the American if only out of solidarity, LOL, but the truth is that Nabieva performed way ahead of the others. She honestly did, so huge kudos to her!

The first person had flexed feet when they went but there legs where together. The second person had pointed feet but legs where apart at one point in the skil. The third person had lots of power but still had flexed feet and legs apart. The fourth person had pointed feet until the end and a little bit of feet separation.

Nabieva herself.. then all the others that are able to perform the skill in combination.. Suni and Eremina.

Suni is pretty close to they original. Even the take off velocity is close. But the original is loose every one else is tight.

nabs' was absolutely the best, but there are some times when she performed it when she had a lack of body tension and her feet were flexed. but one hundred percent when she was on, she had the best nabs.

Nabieva without a doubt, straight arms , toes pointed and not only she keeps a straight position, but she arches her body outward, she also gets the most height no need to flex her feet to avoid clipping the bar, sunisa lee is the second best because in the pictures at the end she is the closest to a layout position and if she point her toes she wont clip the bar

The second to last one (Eremina) looked to me like she had the most power, and she was completely horizontal when she caught the bar on the last example. I don’t really know what I am talking about because I am not a gymnast, but it seems to me that hers had the most power.

Amateur fan here, but I kind of flinch whenever I see this skill and their toes are pointed and then suddenly they are not when they are just above the bar and then pointed again afterward.

Lots of people splitting hairs. Nabieva had the best execution and form overall. Of course this skill is so insanely difficult that slightly flexed feet to clear the bar when you’re flying blindly backwards 4 meters above the ground is nothing...

Nabs. This is like a competition with Simone. The real battle is for 2nd, Suni & Nina are close, but i’m going with Derwael for 2nd, Lee for 3rd, Eremina for 4th. Tatiana’s is so much better than everyone else; really not even close.

Nabieva. Her body shape is different and better from the others.

Nabieva 1000% has the best. From a technical standpoint I’d put Nina last. And I can’t decide on if Suni did it better than Elena or vice versa but either way all these girls are amazing

Nabieva, keeps her toes she pointed.

When she does it well, Sunisa has the best. However, Nina (the queen of bars) receives the highest marks for her consistency.

Tanya Nabieva herself, without a doubt. But the other three are good too.

Nabieva has the best body shape, even down to the pointed toes throughout. Runner up would be Derwael, as to me, she makes it seem effortless.

Nabs is #1, followed closely by Suni, then Nina, then the other one. It's basically keeping hips wide open and toes pointed driving downward.

Nabieva does the Nabieva better followed by Sunisa Lee

Nabieva has the best one but she is far from the best bar worker out of these gymnast. I would definitely love to see Gabby Douglas perform this. She was known to fly high above the bar.

I do t think she would make it. If you watch her like Tkatchev she skews to pass the bar. That same action would not give her the lift. Her Norma Tkatchev is sky high though!

Gabby Douglas has the highest Tkatchev I’ve ever seen. But that’s a very different type of maneuver than this one. Not sure if her form would translate over to a toe on release to a completely stretched body.

In my eyes, all releases should be held in the shape they’re defined as throughout, and that’s only Tatiana. Really hoping they tighten the rules for this skill, making it so that those who pike like Nina or others don’t get credit. Love her, but hers is not an open layout and it’s visible…..
