Hey everyone, I have been researching the batman forever toyline. If sonar sensor was mike Keatons batsuit. Then hydroclaw Robin, was supposed to be marlon wayans suit. In the forever script, they mention his suit with kneepads. It is the only figure that has it. Another key point to note is, the casting of this figure, is completely different from the rest of the Robin figures. If you examine closely, you will see a lot of differences, and more similarities to the Keatons sonar version. Fingers crossed, if this is what quinones will use for the real suit.

As much as I like this theory, it seems more likely that Hydroclaw Robin was an early design for O'Donnell than something leftover from Returns for Wayans. The Returns script never really showed Robin in costume and, when the Batchlers were writing the Batman 3 script, Schumacher was either already casting or had plans to cast his own Robin. That said, I'm interested in seeing if the series DOES put Robin in a more traditional suit by the end.

@@SuperHousePodcast So it was going to be Michael keaton and Chris o donell, for Batman forever, when the batchelors wrote the script? They weren't considering M Wayans at all for Robin? I am just trying to clarify

@@oliveremeralds8235 Wayans's Robin seems to be for Batman Returns only. Schumacher had several actors audition before offering it to O'Donnell (I'd guess around the time the script was written or at least after the Batchlers had completed their first draft), but I haven't found anything about Wayans being considered by Schumacher when "Batman 3" was in development and pre production.

Ben truly is the man who knows too much about Batman 😄 I’m really enjoying these books and the after-show Ben is putting together for us. As some may know from reading my previous comments I’m not a big fan of Robin or the extended Bat-family, but I do enjoy a Robin origin and this is shaping up to be a really interesting origin.
