I was burned on over 40% of my body in 1985. After an extensive skin graft surgery, the nurses gave me several beach baths (during which they searched and removed staples from my new grafted areas 😖) to combat infections. I was only 6 years old at the time but thought it was interesting. 👍🏾

soli Sanchez I always say that. Also, when someone says “god has blessed me” Or “god provided for us.” My question is, god couldn’t provide for the kid being brutalized by junkie parents or pedophiles? Why did “he” chose to bless YOU?

soli Sanchez - I wondered the same thing myself… Especially when I started dating... until I realized that the burns caused people to either judge me and feel sorry for me or be curious to get to know me, my heart. I ended up attracting some of the most beautiful (inside and out) people to me. God works all things together for our good. I am truly living that out in my life.

My parents used to bath us & themselves like this all the time growing up. We never measured it out, just poured it in. My mom would even sometimes mix bleach & pinesol. Also, we never rinsed it off. When I saw the thumbnail I thought you were gonna say it was a bad thing. We didn't have any skin ailments growing up. My dad was just a germophobe, and did it for that purpose.

This video saved me. Every spring I get a rash on my arms for about a month and a half after going into the sun after winter. This time the rash stayed and nothing I did was helping. I was making an appointment with the dermatologist but I saw this video and took a bleach bath on Sunday. It's Friday now and the rash is completely gone. The skin still needs to heal and I will have lighter splotches of skin until it evens out but the irritation and redness are gone and the bumpiness is going away. All it took was one 8 minute bleach bath.

I've heard stylists talk endlessly about how using too many products with protein can make the hair damaged and limp, but I am having a hard time finding scientific sources on this! I have bleach-damaged hair and (aside from no longer bleaching), I've been using products with keratin in it---I'm hoping I'm not doing something to make the state of my hair worse.

Just a capful of basic bleach with no additives to a waterpik reservoir fillled with water kills harmful bacteria on the gums. I use the pocket tool which squirts the water into the gum line. Use on lowest setting when starting. I suffer from excema, and will be using your method for my hands. Sending love to you and MOM. Wish her a Happy Mother’s Day!

My feet are normally dry and do not smell, but those who suffer from foot odor would benefit greatly from soaking their feet in bleach water. Make sure you apply vaseline or better yet kerasal afterwards and put on some cotton socks.

As a dental hygienist this is not at all shocking to me. In fact, early on during my education and career, I learned to recommend a diluted bleach water mouthwash (sodium hypochlorite) to my patients with aggressive types of periodontal disease. There is a lot of research out there about it eliminating those aggressive periodontal pathogens. So it makes sense for the skin too.

This has definitely worked for me. One thing that I used to do was also put it into a spray bottle for when I didn't have time to take a bath (or traveling and didnt feel comfortable taking a bath), would just spray it on after a shower, wait a bit then rinse it off.

@@Alexandraincognito I just guesstimate honestly, it's an insanely small amount. Via instructions I used from online: Mix 2 ml of 2.2% household bleach for every 1 litre of water to make a 0.005% solution.

I have HS and I use a hibicleanse as my Dr. And NP told me to do and I've done the antibiotics and the topical creams which help especially during bad flare ups. But my routine is cleansing using liquid Pure Castile soap with no fragrance, Hibicleanse, drinking apple cider vinegar mixed with water or tea, and ZAPZYT from Walmart which literally clears up a boil in two days and it's only $5! I've suffered a long time and this is what truly helped me. I've had maybe 3 intense flare ups this year

Using household bleach to bathe in or to do a foot soak is something our family has done for years. It definitely helps undermine various skin eruptions and fungi, eliminate odor as well as making you private areas especially clean and fresh. As mentioned you must rinse and moisturize thoroughly afterward .

My family member had SEVERE eczema to the point where people would stare cause they thought there was something wrong with him he was kid and didn't know how to not scratch which made his wounds get even worse. The doctor suggested bleach baths in combination with other practices and medicines of course then his skin cleared up dramatically and every since then you would never know that he has a skin condition.

I've been thinking about exactly this! I was once told that a bleach bath could reset your skin microbiome if you're concerned about potentially dangerous colonies on your skin that could cause cellulitis or other problems. But it seems risky in and of itself. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! One question: What are your tips to prevent these infections for cellulitis around the face and head (eye, ear, etc)? Is normal cleansing and moisturizing sufficient even if you have colonies of staph?

Granted, I'm not a dermatologist, but I would think since she mentioned in this video that the active ingredient in the bleach is similar in function to benzoyl peroxide, that a product like Panoxyl might be helpful to you.
