I don’t know how you do it, but I feel transported into the most wonderful and beautiful world you capture when I watch your videos. The charming bookshops with tea from teapot(!) 📚☕️, the beautiful countryside 🌳🍂🍄🌷, the festivities in villages and towns ✨, all the books, cards, gifts, stationery, and ornaments you find. Dear Miranda, Thank you for a magical vlog of your magical time at Bath! Everything was elegant - the stay at Marshal Wade's House, the lead up to the Persephone event, and even the preparation of the cheese board for Nicola Beauman were all stylishly presented (I would panic and faint if somone said to me that Nicola Beauman would be over for wine and cheese 😅). I liked all of the books you got (I was thrilled to see we have the same edition of The Little Ottleys and Farther Afield). I will be rewatching this video again (and again). The sound track is so enthralling. The tune at the Persephone part of the blog had me in awe. It was fabulous meeting you and Donna. It really made my week. So happy you enjoyed the candle - it was made in Bath. Supporting local businesses. Nichola Beauman was enchanting at the event. She added a special touch to the event with the tea, scone and cake touch. It felt really cosy. I paid a visit to Toppings before heading to Persephone, and fell in love with it. It looks so festive at the moment with that Christmas tree. Plus, the staff was very friendly. I could say so much about this love video, but better sush now.😂😂 Having said that, I got a couple of books at Persephone, including Greenbanks by Dorothy Whipple, and Plats Du Jour by Patience Gray and Primrose Boyd. Thank you Miranda. I always enjoy your out and about vlogs because you film them so well. I appreciate the slower camera pans which don’t make me feel dizzy watching! It was like being there with you, which for me is bitter sweet because I used to live quite close to Bath and was often in the city centre. In fact my son was born there so I have that connection. I thought you would have read the Remains of the Day. Every time I drove by Dyrham Park I could “see” Mr. Stevens driving that little car to the top of the main road heading to the west country for a holiday and to attempt to solve his staff situation. I’m not sure but I think there are only two branches of Topping and Co. in the U.K. and I live in the city where the other one is. I hope you and your Mum come to visit one day.

Ooh I love Persephone books so much was there back in July. Isn’t Bath just fabulous, sooo many fab bookshops and food places. I took my mum there too a couple of years ago. Must go back with her. What a video, Miranda! I watched it last night before bed, then didn't have the energy to write a comment. The Marshall Wade House was just the loveliest accommodation for you and your mother whilst in Bath, and the view from your windows gorgeous! I particularly loved the music in this video, and feel as though I have just come back from a visit to some wonderful bookshops and sightseeing around Bath. It was so nice to have a glimpse of the new Persephone Books, and really good to see what a success your talk was, and how lovely you looked in each outfit. It was lovely to see something of Bath, the setting of so many books. All those great bookshops too. " The Reluctant Widow " is one of my favourite Heyer books. I feel a re-read coming on ! Can I just add that the way the modern kitchen was fitted into the old house you stayed in, was perfectly done.

I really love Bath but have only done Jane Austen things there not much looking in the shops. I didn’t know until recently about all the bookshops. I plan to go again in September!! It’s my 50th birthday next May so planning lots of trips etc Jane Austen festival in Bath is one thing on my bucket list. So I may get to see a book shop on this visit!!

It's becoming my Christmas tradition to watch all your Christmas' videos in December, sometimes more than once LOL. This one in Bath is especially magical! That George Bayntum second hand book store is stuff of dreams, so nostalgic, especially with the lovely music as I "browsed" through those vintage books (most specifically the Miss Reads ones--- how I would love those!!!). But everything in this video is magical, from your mom and you looking so happy and beautiful, that beautiful place you stayed in with the lovely Cathedral outside and Christmas tree, to the cheese shop and places you ate at... Just magical! ❤❤❤

My last few lunchtimes have been spent watching your winter videos. They are absolutely wonderful with such great recommendations of books for gifts - I've ordered 2 for my parents and hinted at one for myself! I just wanted to thank you for all the effort you put in. I'm trying to get back into reading at 48 years old to help create calm in my world - I adored reading as a child but I'm now usually too impatient to sit and read for long. But I'm slowly getting back into it and with your encouragement will no doubt learn to love it again. Thank you 💖

This was a stunning video of Bath. Miranda, I am blown away by the tour. The Christmas Tree was so nostalgic for me. I am enamored with London and have visited it many times before when my son lived in Maida Vale in London. My grandson Gabriel was also born in England. Thank you, thank you so much for the wonderful book shop in Bath.

I have only recently become aware of you on you tube but i love your videos! I have been listning to all your recommendations. I was lucky today to find a few miss read books in one of my local charity shops today and they piqued my interest after watching your video so i was really excited to find a few today. This was an AMAZING vlog! I loved your beautiful music choices and how you find joy in all the small things! I had wanted to return to Bath before but now I REALLY want to go back! It was neat to see out your window at the place we waited in line to get into the Roman Baths (I think that's right?). I know what you mean about the noise and the music...I am making a personal vlog of my Mom and my trip for my close friends and family and in it I referred to Bath as a "City with its own Soundtrack". A beautiful vlog! I enjoy the way you intertwine your love of books with the quaintness of English locations. Thank you for forwarding the the list of bookstores to visit for our upcoming trip to U.K. from the US..we will also be visiting Bath after 20 years as part of our Cotswolds trip..Can’t wait! I loved visiting bath when I went

Oh, hello Miranda. I’ve just had your channel newly come across as a choice on KZread and what a delight! Just this past August our Texas family of 5 visited Bath, Derbyshire, and London. What a gift that time was. Bath must be a dream at Christmastime and I am so thankful you have taken us along. Your tour, tea times, and perfect music are wonderful and take me back to our lovely summer visit. Now I have to visit at Christmastime!

What a wonderful video! It was so relaxing to see Bath and at Chistmas time too. Now I'd like to visit it again and also see those delightful bookshops, accompanied by a nice cup of tea afterwards.

It's been years since I've visited Bath, but this has really made me want to see it again, if only to visit the Topping & Company so I can say I've been to all of their bookshops (as I have previously visited the ones in St. Andrews and Edinburgh).
