Thats whats Bass Fishing is all about... sometimes you fail sometimes you succeed... but the information you pick up along the way is priceless and will payoff in the future
Thanks so much for taking the time to film and show us this video. This just shows us how much effort it takes to be a pro.
This is as good as I have seen about fish a tournament and the cost time effort that goes into it I think every one should see this Great Job
Definitely do more of these! It's great being able to follow your progress through practice and then post tournment.
For once, someone made an interesting and honest video of a tough trip. Anyone can catch fish when the fish are biting. But when it's snowing and blowing? Man up and see if we can't learn something! :) Appreciate your story and I've subscribed.
I love these vids. 4 days without catching anything is still better than work!
love how at 8:20 hes looking around to see if any other tourney guys are looking at his catch lol

Texas to Tenn. wow. Its a hard life, the life of a Pro Bass fisherman. Im still striving to be one. Awesome Video. Thats what its all about learning.
Very cool vid! Love all the instructional stuff. Goes to show how hard it can be even for some of the best
definatly do more of these!
Great video man. I understand your frustration, this is one of my local lakes and they do that to you a lot. Keep up the great work!!

Loved this vid. great job. I'm from Wisconsin we fish a lot of freezing cold days. and its always tough.
I always watch your videos as soon as you post em. Love watching them and they're very informative. You're a very talented person. Sorry you had a not-so-good trip. Tight Lines.
LOVED the vid bud, I really enjoyed it!!!
Great Video, Thanks for sharing dude!
Hey Justin. Douglas is one of my home lakes. You had the right winter pattern with that steep rock and crankbaits. East Tennessee can be tough to fish... Most of the big tournaments here are won by locals. Not likely to happen, but if you ever get back up this way, we can put you on some fish.
wow never been to a tournament before but sounds and looks great
I agree with Tyler. I live on Douglas lake and it's ridiculously tough to fish consistently well.
I fished the BASS open the week after this tournament. Day 1 was raining and cold, i came in with 2 keepers. Day 2 i get paired with an Ex-Elite angler Kyle Fox. He got 1 keeper and i had nothing. All in all a learning experience. But definitely had alot of fun!
Awesome vid! The original VLog
Great video man and I thought I had a ruff week at work.
Dude I love that you were willing
Rough week for sure man, but all part of the learning experience. I know I'm like you in the case of cold water fishing just because I don't fish it all that often. Even during the peak of winter my home lake in Alabama barely gets into the low 50's and occasionally the 40's. Fished a tournament in February where it was snowing with 20+ mph winds and came in 13th out of 87 boats fishing texas rigged lizards and deep diving crank baits.
from what i read, the umbrella rig sounded like a big factor in the tournament... never thought of it as a cold water lure(s)! awesome video... wish there had been more footage even.
All I can say is Kudos to you!! You got mocksy!
Dude that video was awsome
More please!!!!! Haha good luck at these tourneys I like this type of videos thumbs up if you agree
I've already been snow bass fishing, for smallies, here in Canada! I just want to tell it's like magic been there on the water when the snow joins us. Maybe you should try ffishing in one of those lakes in the north repartition of the bass in Ontario or eather Quebec. You may catch snow in october!!!
YOUR BEST VIDEO SO FAR!!!
Man 35 degrees. Up here in PA we are lucky to get that around winter time
NICE videos u got man , fun to watch them u can tell that u love bass fishing. myself i been fishing bass since i had 12 years in florida then moved to spain and i keep fishing bass in spain!. wana c more videos of urs.
I saw your truck at the boat ramp, man was it crazy cold. I have a cabin about 10 miles southeast of there and it snowed twice that week! Great video!!

That was brutal! I've never worn two sets of bibs before
Awesome video man
that's east tennessee lakes for ya it can get really tough to catch there has been tournaments I have 0 at It can be very rough here
3:14 "just got a little bit intimidated by that.." hahaha
Shows that you have perseverance good job
Turns out all you need is a Yum flash mob. The PAA and Bassmaster tourney proved that.
Great guys.
Great video man do more!! :)
great video !!!
Awesome video
Great video man! And yea I live in Frankfort Illinois and we Chicago people have to deal with snow and ice and cold weather it sucks... Well anyway good job trying on those conditions better luck next time !!
Good Video! BassSoldiers dig it!
Good video! Thanks!
I don't do this often, but you sir, just got a new subscriber 8)
Hey, I love you're videos u was wondering if you could consider making a video concerning just what kinds of lines you prefer to use braided vs. regular and what kind of braided you use for freshwater without having problems casting the line
hope you start posting more vids you have a great channel.
I love your videos so much

Great vid
I live right by that lake in Tennessee
good information, looks tough there
I've fished there all my life and the best baits I've used are a fineness worm, crankbait, and a small swim bait.
I live about 5 minutes from Douglas lake, its by far the hardest body of water to fish in any condition in my opinion for the fact the water level is constantly changing. Was cool watching a video of basically my backyard though.
that was cool to see
Great video, well done. Sorry you didn't win but like you said just learn from it and take it with you. Keep making more high quality videos like this bro.
I live like 10 or 15 miles from there I just searched this so I can see what i go to almost every summer.
Subscribed! Please do another one, how did you do in the tournament? Did you stick with the crankbait? I know Horton is a deep water crankin' beast!
I was a junior in the southern divisional on Douglas and it still sucks!
Do More!!
Hey great videos keep up the great work. I have a question how did you get your start to tournament fishing and what advice could you give someone that would like to start ?
Nice video keep it coming plz
Hey Justin this spring break in going up to Newport that's really close by Douglas lake. And Im a Ohio pond hopper and what should I use because I don't know what to use
I always go to Douglas when I go to the lake and what is the best summer bait for Douglas I’m going today
Best way to catch them in cold weather is find them on your Lowrance then you can throw a drop shot 2 to 3 inch minnow and you can watch the fish come up on your Lowrance and eat the lure, or fish a Float n Fly, or fish a silver buddy. around Dandridge bridges is good Schwans, and around the Dam. This lake in the summer can produce 50 fish a night with a 4 to 6 inch worm, great night fishing on this lake. Hope this help you out the next time you go to Douglas Lake.
I went to lake Douglas a couple summers ago and that lake was on fire every cast produced a fish
During ice fishing, I had a 5.5 pound bass on my line... When my reel froze. The spool literally froze. I had to use a lighter to melt it. I eventually got the bass in though.
Texas represent! >:D
that's like March here in canada
May not have caught much but nice video!
how do you like the PAA compared to FLW or B.A.S.S?
I'm being nosy I'm prepping for a tournoment on the 23rd of this month when was this? I know it was published early May but what were the actual dates of the footage
But still great video! And, in wich circuit is that tournament?
so yeah, imma come visit and youll have to take me fishing so i can learn...haha
Justin do you use rapalas if so can you put up a vid of your favorite or the best ones to use
Well, at 5:56, I can tell why you had a hard time. The thing seems to be a reservoir. If you don't know the specific spots for these, they generally are a waste of time. We got one in Quebec, Lac Taureau, and it's pretty shitty unless you know exactly where to go.
May be dumb question but ive never even thought bout it do small mouth bass still count in tournaments?
Always stay with Carolina rig on Douglas.
at 4:52 that would be a good poster for that cabelas suit
awe. man i was there just a couple weeks ago. didnt catch anything. the lake is so preasured, but thats no excuse lol
Try a shaky head with watermelon candy when I've run out of things to fish with I go to that and they hit it almost every time.
thats one thing us northern anglers have against you all southern staters! we fish in 20 degree weather on powerplant lakes! haha great vid
