Bass Fishing for Money

Спорт

In this video, I competed in a kayak bass tournament on Melton Hill Reservoir. It was a fun morning of fishing with several largemouth and smallmouth bass being caught.

You are the true definition of a fisherman. Being able to catch multiple species. Some of my buddies ask why aren't you catfishing? If the white bass are hot 🔥 I'm on it. If the striper are running 🏃‍♂️ I'm there. When the shell 🐚 cracker are spawning its time to catch. Even though there is nothing better than holding a trophy 🏆 catfish. Catching any fish 🐟 is a sport second to none.

Fun as always! I have learned so much from you and, well, also Richard Gene. You changed my life with the ultra light gear and Gulps - and cost me a bit of money too!!! Like you, I went to the 2.5 - 3.0 inch Gulp;s to run away from the bluegill but still have fun with bass, channels, and monster warmouths. The Nikko Hellgrammite is a killer for the same species and ultimately less expensive than Gulps ( cannot knock them off). Apologise to all for the long one.

Justin. Thank You for "taking me along" on your adventure. Been on the big lake (Lake Erie) for 65 years. been all over the lake, and fished for every thing in it; from pan fish to bass, walleye & pike. used to take a lot of guys out fishing; now, since i sold my lake boat, no one calls any more. that's why i enjoy going along with you so much! great trip...and "almost great" results. please keep up all the hard work; and the great video content. we all really appreciate all your efforts. best. walt (sub'd, like, bell'd, occasionally comment) & Have Watched Every Video You've Done)

Of course I was on 4 lb test line, so I couldn’t get it in. I can’t believe you netted that first small bass. Lol. That cracked me up. Sorry you missed by a quarter inch. If you really want to make them mad, keep all the bass in the tournament for catfish bait. Lol

I used to live on that lake. It flows from the bottom of Lake Norris and the water is COLD!!. It looks like he was fishing downstream, several miles, from where I was so the water was probably warmer there but still a little cool for largemouth. Where I lived the water was around 45 degrees even in June or August.

I fished the hill that day. I might have been one of the "Professionals" you spoke of. I talked to a kayaker at 7am that morning and he said he had a limit. Didn't know a limit was three 12in fish. I thought it was five 14in large or 18in smallies. I thought that dude was a fishmaster. Lol....

I've got two okuma ultralights, one 6-6 and a 5, lots of fun. For whatever reason I've used braid for mainline, although that's bit me in the butt when something bigger than I anticipate torpedoes through weeds. Does mono give up much to braid in sensitivity for it's better abrasion resistance?
