Tbh that’s probably the most useful kit I’ve seen it takes the guesswork out of trying to figure out what to throw

@jasoninthewood I fish Oregon and Washington. Don't know where ya at in Oregon but they can be difficult. I'd say down size baits until you start getting a pattern at your fishing spots. 3 or 4 inch senko smoke/purple black flake on a 2/0 ewg weightless (a couple hops when it hits bottom then re cast if nothing bites) is my go-to if is tough.

April needs her own channel, shes gotten pretty good !!!

Things I didn’t realize until watching this video that I should have noticed earlier: I truly appreciate that you’re still a bank fisherman the majority of your videos. Makes it more accessible and easier for me to get caught up in it. Also, you’re a spinning reel guy too. Nothing wrong with casting but it’s something I appreciate. Thanks for all your hard work

TJ, thank you for being real in your videos! I like how you talk about the struggle of catching fish in the change of seasons. This shows the newer anglers that everyone can get skunked and not to give up. You should do a video of organizing your fishing gear and how you store it when not in use.

Hey Yak one major thing to note about Walmarts, I constantly hear many folks say "our walmart doesn't have " but it's because the way Walmart Distribution Centers work. DCs get around the same amounts of things as the rest, but shipements to the surrounding stores are based on sales and traffic, small stores typically get small amounts and less items than larger stores. My suggestion is to always shop at the same few stores that have the most fishing stuff, get to know the management who work in that section, and make requests based on what you know Walmarts do and should carry. You'll have a lot of success working with store associates and management. Their whole job is to sell what people want.

I use black and blue all day everyday. Clear, dirty, sunny, overcast, rain.

I just saw a video a couple of weeks ago that was showing that bass can't tell the difference between blues and blacks because they only can see certain colors. Which makes those colors less effective. That is why green and chartreuse are so effective. They can see those colors better than anything else.

@@FishingWithYakPak yea next time you catch a summer time frog fish or top water you’ll see they are way darker. Also, it’s about damn time someone came out with lure kit for newer people to the sport, color to conditions etc…I learn visually and that would have helped me when starting out.

It's weird I can catch fish on the black and blue jig. But i throw that color sinco and nothing.😢 Watermelon red. Or green pumpkin. Watermelon red ned with a chartreuse ned head...FIRE! 🔥.. ⚒️ on that this fall. Only got em the first time cause thats the only color ned head they had. Now thats all i will buy!! Bought a 6 ft medium light fast tip just for ned. You think you'd struggle with bigger fish on it but the last one I caught was a 7 lb lake trout! So much fun!
