In 2019, when I was only a sophomore at Fitchburg State University, I worked on a personal project, Basketball Warrior, a 2D Platformer inspired by Shovel Knight. You would've played as Aaron Hara, a basketball all-star who must stop football from dominating the world of sports! Travel across different sports-themed levels, from volleyball beaches to hockey ice levels.
All of the levels excluding the final boss were fully designed and playable, which is what you see in the video. However, the gameplay was far from polished and needed retooling. Unfortunately, the game would have needed to be completely reworked with the amount of changes needed to be made to it, such as remaking the movement, shooting, and animations. As a result, the project was cancelled.
The first 2 Levels were publicly shown off at the Fitchburg State University Expo in 2019. For the first time ever, the rest of the levels which were completed are now being shown to the public.
