Basic Training Marching Cadence: I Left My Home 2 Hours
Because I was repeating it so many times and many of you also did , here you go 2 hours of it!
Also the Lyrics:
your mother was...*home when you left *you’re right!
your daddy was home when you left *you’re right!
your sister was home when you left *you’re right!
your brother was home when you left *you’re right!
your dog was home when you left *you’re right!
your cat was home when you left *you’re right!
your fish was home when you left *you’re right!
your mommy, your daddy, your brother,
your sister, the dog, the cat, the fish, was home when you left* you’re right!
And that’s the reason you left* you’re right!
I left my home - to join the Army
I left my home - to join the Army
The day I left - my Mama cried
She though that I - would surely die
I left my wife - crying at the door
She knew that I - would die at War
I left my son - playing in the yard
Seeing daddy leave - made him cry so hard
oowie oowiiieeeee/ oowiie owieeeeeeeee/
oowie oowieeeeeee/ oowie owieeeeeeee/
oowie oowiiieeeee/ oowiie owieeeeeeeee/
column left, March!
We joined the army - we joined the army
Follow me - Follow me
I know you can make it - I know you can make it
I know you can take it - I know you can take it
Follow the man in the green bray - Follow the man in the green bray
This stuff is how he earns his pay - This stuff is how he earns his pay

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is one of the greatest, steel cold and blunt cadences I have ever heard. We need to understand that freedom is not free, no matter what your parents, your teachers, your friends and elders tell you, it is NOT free. We owe the little freedom we do have to all the men and women who leave their families, their mom and father, their brothers and sisters and nephews, nieces, their cousins and their distant relatives, their wives, husbands... We owe our freedom to those men and women that make that almighty sacrifice to take up arms and, if necessary, to march into the fire. Fight, bleed, and die for our country. We owe these people more than we will ever know, more than anyone will ever understand. Thank you, to all military personnel, for the sacrifices you make, so that we don't have to. This damn song brought tears to my eyes because many of my highschool classmates joined the military, really just boys and girls.

dang if I was one of the soldiers there, marching, I might just cry while marching. Hats off to the soldiers all over the world. To leave your loved ones to protect the country.
Recruiters be like "Yo make that 2 hours"
Before I hit the bush I always play this on loop. As an American I was given the freedom by humans such as these. I always get inspired for a full throttle bush craft month. I build my shelter and sustain easily with these cadences in my cortex. My Shelters are usually up the next year on my return minus my tarp and some maintenance. Take your family in the woods and perform HARD WORK!! Lifetime lessons!! Much love!! See you in the woods and on the ridge!! Learn the whistles or wave a flag so you don't get your hair cut. xD

man, the military is something people from the outside looking in can never understand. the bonds formed in IET (BCT, AIT) lasts a lifetime. I miss calling cadences just to go to chow, and in a strange way, I miss life on post in its entirety, and I don't mean life as a soldier, but rather the very spontaneous yet regimented life you go through in Basic and AIT.

No that's the definition of a unit that's the definition of a sergeant leading his trops to war
I remember the first time we sounded off to this cadence when I went to basic training in 2008. We were at a stand still waiting in the chow line and the drill sergeant started calling out this cadence.
This blows me away.
Strong men fighting for the right thing. I hope none of these brave soldiers was physically (or to bad mentally) harmed in battle.
This was that drill sergeants last march. You can hear it in his voice. So sad.

Military Cadence Fact: Did you know that whenever they say "you're right", they step on their right foot. I learned that in a correctional boot camp where kids in juvi went.
