Jay in this video and the complete wiring for the condenser unit video , has given me a much better understanding of the thermostat to control board , and then control board to other contactor coils and relay coils that pull in plungers to allow the higher voltage go through to the respectable meters as to what they do. He did an excellent illustration of the complete condenser/outside unit , where now the other part falls into place better. Also really clear how he did the wiring of thermostat to control board and the two wires from control board to the side of contactor for the condenser/outside unit. Jay would definitely be a great instructor in HVAC, really appreciate and enjoy his videos on this stuff!

My old wires to furnace was old 3 wires cable, and since my old thermostat broke from battery leaking, i bought a new thermostat from gas utility company since they offered me big huge energy saving credit of $50. Fancy wifi controlled thermostat for just $19 after the credit. However, what I didn't know, it doesn't work with old 3 wire cable. I needed to install 5 wires cable. I had no idea how to do it, but after watched your instruction. Yaa, I managed to snake a new cable I bought from Home Depot, and was able to connect property in furnace. Thans a lot.

Hey man what you just said is probably one of the best things I’ve heard because a lot of this industry tries to make things way more complicated for no reason to make themselves feel good while it’s not the most easy thing in the world to do it’s certainly not as complicated as people try to make it

Great video. At the end the super glue trick-I have done this and it works good as long as it is not an area that gets stretched a lot like a knuckle. Bonus use for super glue is if you have a cavity but can’t get to a dentist. Have someone apply it to the cavity and let it dry. It will only last about a day but is a life saver if in pain.

There is nothing in the documentation that discussed what the various color terminals relate to. Another great, no BS video done by a great instructor. My “”seasoned” albeit faithful 2008 Heat Pump system, which came with house, has a newer replacement Thermostat. It works, has fresh batteries and no issues. I’m always educating myself for the inevitable failure on the coldest or hottest day of the year. Question: My Thermostat has the following terminal labels: From Top Right Hand Side Down: Y2, Y1, B/O, G, C, RC, RH, W1, W2, and then S1, S2, S3. Some jibe with the video but Im curious as to the disparity. Thanks again, for all you do! And I’m so thankful you chose your current profession over Accounting!

I worked in a machine shop and I've been using super glue for cuts for 40 years. Crazy Glue seems to work the best but you need to apply it pretty quickly or it won't stick very well. If you apply it within one minute then it holds good but you need to open the cut and put the glue inside. It doesn't take much.

Thanks for your videos. In the medical field we use sterile super glue (Dermabond). This is processed in a sterile fashion. The glue that we buy at the store is with no care if is exposed to bacteria or germs. So one must be careful in using super glue on your cuts. You could actually be introducing bacteria to the wound. There are sterile super glue that you can buy in the first aid section of many stores. This is a better choice.

Super glue works to stop bleeding but can cause side effects, especially if the wound is deep. Also it doesn't have antibacterial properties. There is a safer product that is used like super glue for wound closure called "Dermabond." This product also has antibacterial properties and is available over the counter in the US and Canada.

I just couldn't get the outside unit from coming on when I was using the furnace and no cool air, essentially, I was using the flames from the furnace to heat my house, so I took off the jumper as I only have one red wire, I put the red wire to RH, and unfastened the yellow wire. All thanks to your video and now I have heat!!!

I gotta say it again... I like your video production... steady and clear. I hate it when I see a you tube video and the person uses point of view or is unsteady. I get nauseated.

Just found your channel, good stuff!! From what I've so far it's been gas heat. Do you have anything on Hydro Air systems, oil fired plus AC?

I’m currently enrolled at Northwestern Tech, where i’m taking a heating class right now. This video helped me understand the wiring SO much better. Thank you for breaking it down, and making it easier to understand.

Your superglue comment is interesting, did you know they actually sell this at many pharmacies? One product is called "new skin liquid bandage" it's essentially superglue, but with antiseptics mixed in to prevent infection, takes a few seconds longer to dry, but works great. It either comes with a little brush, or a spray nozzle can that you can just spray on the cut, works great, haven't used a band aide since.

super glue works like a charm, I cut open my nail put a small piece of t-shirt and super glue held it close great, I did have to do it a couple of times while it grew out.
