Dear Anna, I just want you to know that your videos mean so much to me. Not only are you educating us on how to properly care for our nails but you also inspire me to make time for myself. I've neglected my nails for as long as I can remember but I've come to a point now where I just want beautiful natural nails. I now make the time to care for myself. Thank you for being here🌺💜

This. I have always wanted and currently have beautiful natural nails and clean feet. Like healthy nails are my thing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes to the weekly manicures!! I am loving this new series!!
Yes, weekly manicures! I have been improperly manicuring my nails in one way or another since I was a child! (Including I would cut off the living skin!) Eventually I started going to salons where THEY improperly manicured my finger and toe nails for years. I had enhancements on my nails for years at a time. It’s a miracle my fingernails and hands are as good as they are. I finally found your channel on KZread a few months ago, and I am enjoying learning about my nails, nail beds, and proper methods to make them healthy.
As a nail technician in training, it's good to know the basics and learn to use simple tools before moving on to the more complicated ones!
Yes, weekly manicures, please. This was great working on my nails along with you made it so much easier. I felt a lot more confident and just like doing my nails with a "girlfriend" made it so enjoyable. Thank you so much!!
If you had Patreon, maybe you could round up a bunch of people who want to have a Manicure Monday or something - over Zoom - we all do our own manicures with you 🥰🥰🥰
Please do weekly manicures for those of us who like natural nails and cannot afford to get our nails done professionally! I have just discovered your channel and I’m looking forward to your content as I have always been ashamed of my nails and just thought I had “bad” nails 😢. I’m feeling empowered that I can learn from you and help my nails and my confidence in my hands/nails. Thank you for what you do 😊!
Just wanted to let you know that I’ve been a nail biter my whole life. I’ll be 60. I had acrylic for the last 10 years and decided to quit. It really was your videos that kept me holding on and not going back. My nails were pure mush. It’s been about 6 months and I’m never going back! The warm oil soak I think is what made the difference.
I’m doing my manicure along with you and still learning how to shape my nails. As you say, the more we do it the better we will get, so I’d love it if you did one of these videos every week!
I would love to see weekly manicures. I’ve never had a weekly routine, but I’d like to start.
I’ve been binge watching your videos since I found you. I recently quit years of dip nails with gel liquids. I’m about 3 weeks all natural. My hyponychium is still a little overgrown so I can’t go too short without experiencing pain. I’ve been doing weekly gentle manicures and I did my first warm oil soak today. I do wish I could find someone local who cares about the health of natural nails as much as you do. Thank you so much for these knowledgeable videos! They truly do help so much 🖤
Yes! Weekly manucure! That would be great! ❤
Anna, this is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for as I slowly get more into keeping my own nails manicured
I would love a weekly manicure to ensure I am getting the self care in. I enjoy your vids and learning so much.
My nails are all uneven so I really appreciate your explanation of shaping. You have taught me so much. I have watched some of your videos over & over. I still have to shape with the polish on. Thanks so much for all your videos. My nails are in the best shape they’ve ever been and I’m 64 years old. Edit: Yes to weekly manicures!
Yes please weekly manicures and thank you for giving us your expertise and time.
Yes Anna would love weekly manicures. I have learned so much from you and my nails are in the best shape. Thank ps for all you do!❤
I love watching natural nail manicures, especially how your focus is nail health. Thank you!
I would love to do my weekly manicures with you. I really enjoyed this video. I learned so many tips about how to position the tools with the non dominant hand. Also it was so satisfying to watch to do your own manicure and very relaxing after a very stressful day at work. Anna!!! I’m so happy to have found your channel. You literally had changed the health of my nails just following your tips. Kerasal is my holy grail product not only for my hands nails, also for my feet and toe nails. See my nails healthy makes me so happy and I’m getting so much complements. From the deep of my heart thanks for everything you do!
Yes! Weekly videos please. You are a great teacher!
You're an excellent teacher!
You are so thorough with very clear explanations! Thanks you!
Thank you so much for this video! You’re an amazing instructor! Yes to weekly manicure videos!!
After over 30 years of acrylic nails and damage, I am watching your videos over and over to bring my nails to their real, natural beauty. It was a challenge for the first two weeks as they were so ugly! But - I am determined to get them healthy and beautiful for a 76 year old senior. Thank you for these videos!
Thank you for this video. I truly appreciate it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Yes please do weekly! I’m horrible at shaping my nails. I will try to get better
I love the idea of doing the manicure together. You are so generous Anna 🙂❤⭐
Yay to weekly manicures! 🎉😃👌🙏
Thank you friend, it makes so much sense and I love how your nails look. I will so follow the tips !
@7:20 has changed my life! loool. this shaping guideline makes complete sense now that you explain it and takes so much of my guesswork out of shaping my nails! thank you! yes please more of these simple manicure videos!
I started watching your videos last year after removing sns. Your techniques and tips really really work. I love that you do beautiful shellac and also beautiful natural nails. Thank you 😊
Anna, it’s good to know I am on the right track. I remove polish on Friday after work, push back the living skin, file and shape, apply Mavala Scientifique( Fri/Sat) then polish Sunday! Thanks for your great tutelage and getting accurate info to us! Love your channel
Your videos are the best! Easy to follow.
Thank you for this! Was hoping for something like this from you
Thank you so much for your videos! I've been neglecting my nails for decades. Every time I've done a salon manicure before my nail bed would become a mess afterwards so I've stopped going there. I've stumbled upon your videos recently and really like the idea of just pushing the living skin back. Will try now to take care of my nails weekly along with you. Thanks for Inspiration and for all the knowledge you share with us!
I have followed your cuticle directions for about a year. My cuticles are much healthier now thank you!
Wow. I’m learning so much. Thank you so much Anna. Xx
Please, more of the Pushy and Blue Cross. That's my favourite part; SO satisfying.

Former nail biter here and I wanted to thank you for these videos because my nails have improved a lot in the last 6 months. I stopped biting them a while ago, but bar work ruined them and i thought that was it for me. No hope, only wonky nails. I don't wear them long, but I'm pretty satisfied with the results because I had a complex with them. I felt uncomfortable when people stared at them. Not anymore. ❤

Anna, your videos are super helpful. You explain things perfectly. Yes please to weekly ones. 🥰

thank you SO much for this video!!! i have been biting my nails/skin on my fingers since 2 years old, and my news years resolution is to break this horrible habit for good. every time i search nail tutorial or nail care, all i get are videos of ridiculously long acrylic/gel nails. the rare videos i see of natural nails are from people who have already grown out their nails a reasonable amount. i'm very grateful to watch a truly NATURAL nail video.
I like your video. You are so thorough; you explain everything in detail.

Thanks for this video. I’ve recently started doing my own manicures after years of acrylics or dipped nails. Very helpful video. Thank you Anna ❤
Oh! I thought I was supposed to shape the nails the same as the fingertips, and I wondered why the shape isn't quite right, sometimes too fat, sometimes too skinny, etc. Now I understand what to do! Thank you so much for your videos, I love them. Speaking of watching the same ones over again, I bought Blue Cross on your advice, and every week when I use it I watch that same video again, and I always notice something new as I follow step by step!
I had to laugh when you were describing the 'imperfections' and the reasons for them of your middle finger and nail on your right hand. I have the same imperfections for the same reasons. Also, thanks for showing us how to file and shape the nails, and accept the fact that naturally not every nail is the same. As someone who likes my nails to have a natural look most of the time and rarely uses coloured nail polish, I had a hard time accepting the fact that my nails didn't have a uniformed look. Having my nails short seems to emphasize that even more. But thanks to you and your videos I've learned that that is normal and now I accept my nails as they are, and like them even more.
So glad I found your channel. Thanks for the great detailed tips and reviews.

Thank you for explaining what the cuticle is and what the proximal nail fold is and how to "train" the nail fold to behave itself. I always have the nail fold sticking to the nail and stretched causing wounds and even though my manicurist said not to cut it I insisted on doing so, because I thought it doesn't look nice and manicured. Nobody explained to me what the function of the nail fold is or that it is living skin that shouldn't be injured in such a manner. But also I never took care of my nails regularly. So starting yesterday (when I saw a couple of your videos) I manicured my fingers according to your instructions the best I could and they look good. I am waiting for the nails to grow out all the scratches and cuts I previously made and now I really need to control myself not to cut the nail fold on some fingers where it's stretched out. But I am pushing back. Thank you.
Thank you.
You are so awesome. Your tutorials are comprehensive and easy to understand. In three days, my dried broken nails look healthy. I want to wait to take a picture of them before I begin to push back my cuticles. Thank you for what you do for us.

What a great idea for a series! Nice to watch refreshers. I love using different tools sometimes just to change it up. I just tried the Sistaco nail system for the first time, and I'm particularly interested in how it comes off and if my nails will remain undamaged. Fingers crossed 🤞

Ana, awesome video as usual 👍
I vote yes for the weekly manis too! ❤❤ I just keep learning so much!!! One thing I realized from your last video is that I’m making a mistake when it gets to the step to clean your nails before polish. I was doing both hands, then polishing one, then the other! I’m thinking that might be why I’ve had some peeling! Now I will get to that point and do one hand at a time! 😮😊 I’ve been practicing polishing like you. And I realized that this past weekend-so I definitely relate to learning by shadowing/watching! I know I’m improving each time I do a manicure and I’m really excited about it! You are a blessing! I NEVER would’ve thought this would become “my thing”!!! I always hated doing my own nails. Guess that proves an old dog CAN learn new tricks! 😂😂
Thank you! The white part has ALWAYS thrown me off when filing!
Great videos I love it 🥰
Filing the skin on the side might save me on my nail picking habits. Thats usually the area i am tearing at. I'm try to get better about it, but I inevitably end up tearing them apart. Thank you very much for such a detailed video. As a total newbie this is very helpful.
I am sitting in bed watching your video and pushing back the living skin with an orange wood stick. I look forward to every one of your videos! 😍

This is great stuff, Anna. I learn a lot from your channel. I have struggled with nail biting off and on throughout my life and COVID was a difficult time for us all. I’m coming out of that now and doing my best to care for my hands/nails. I prefer natural nails over the enhanced stuff. I have always found that, ultimately, they did more damage than any perceived benefit. I do use your videos when I do my own manicures just as you suggested. It really does work. I will appreciate this series very much! PS - I have loved your recipe for warm oil soaks. I made up a nice quantity in reusable deli containers, which although unglamorous, are perfect for storing and heating oil as well as soaking. I give them as little “love you” gifts to the most favored women in my life. Thank you again, for your content.

You're not alone! Fellow nail biter/skin picker here. I have also found these videos to be pure gold.
For taking down length I like 180 grit too, but I use the finer 220 & over for gentle shaping, like getting rid of sharp corners on square/squoval nails. My nails are strong as well. I know people say you shouldn’t go back & forth, but it’s how I’ve always filed my nails without any issues 🤷🏻♀️

Using a sponge file or a buffer at the end is even better. It bevels the nail smooth. Filing back and forth is not bad for the nail. I have a link in the description box at the bottom

Id purchased a nail file snd over time realized both sides were too course for my nails (i cant remember the grit. My side nails were constantly breaking so i started over. I stopped polishing and cut my nails all way down. I just oiled the beds and surrounding skin until i finally had a new nail. It took around 6 months. Now i only use a glass file and my side nails rarely break. I rarely push back my pnd as welll. I file once a week and apply kerasal once a week and oil the nail and bed. My nails always look healthy now. I think im ready to start polishing again😊😊

that's very cool, I didn't even know this one is nitrocellulose free! I got it last week because there was a 20% off of all nail polishes :-D thanks :)
Thank you so much for your wonderful videos. I watch at least one most every day! I am rehabing my nails after and extended period of one dip manicure after another. My nails were thin and peeling, but are recovering well thanks to your good advice. I'm close to wanting to paint them again but wonder if its better to leave them naked and oiling them regularly during the day or if I can do that with painted nails and still continue recovery. Also, do you have an opinion about Butter London nail brightener? Thanks so much. cheryl
Great video! One question: could you show us how to cut the fingernails with a clipper? Or do only file to shorten the figernai? Thank you
I don’t have any problem polishing with my non dominate hand either. In my case, it’s because of 30+ years of piano, especially all the lessons and piano exercises. In your case, I think it’s because you are really skilled at all things nail related.

@@TheSalonLife I think for me, the hardest part is figuring out how much polish to have on the brush. The next hardest is to go slowly when polishing. Ana Seidel has sayings that help us and one is “You have more time then you think”. You really are the best at all things nail related though, especially at polishing. You have mad skills when it comes to polishing. You get nice and close to the living skin but you only rarely ever touch the skin. Even when you do touch a bit, it isn’t really anything. It’s amazing. This one swatcher/blogger, Lisa of Cosmetic Sanctuary, polishes her finger nails (not thumb) with her hand out in front of her, palm up, and fingers curled in. Her hand isn’t flat on anything. The angle is kind of like she is polishing someone else’s nails. It’s the strangest thing for me to watch.
