Thanks so much man, you actually explained what's what so I really appreciate it! Most of the videos on basic switch configs people just run through commands but for beginners it's hard to understand what he's doing.

Mate brilliant, i am just setting up my first cisco 3560 switch and this is gold. at 4:34 man actually said pound sign to # lol ... i was like what lol. but this is great education for me. thanks.

Thank you Great walk through, talk through. Your video enabled me to successfully setup a 3560 switch, with my Autonomous AP, and give the devices a second life. Especially the Telnet capability

When I type the "enable" command I get (Unknown cmd: enable) Can anyone tell me why I am not able to change to privileged mode "switch#" prompt when I type enable? What would cause it to not recognize the enable command?

Did you forget about the serial port properties? From the official Cisco Installation page: Configure the baud rate and character format of the PC or terminal to match the console port default characteristics: 9600 baud 8 data bits 1 stop bit No parity None (flow control)
