Thats great man! Always nice having someone who doesnt leave out steps to make a video seem 'condensed'. Simplifying is great but sometimes a little verbosity is needed. Have a good day man and welcome back!

I still use your video as a refresher hah. I’ve had the same switch going strong for years. Hope your networking is going well.
This is honestly really well explained. Other people that are making videos regarding configuration with cisco switches aren't as efficient and clear as you are. You are very organized and straight up (no wasting time and getting straight to the point ). Well done my guy, I'm currently a networking intern and I'm learning a lot from people like you.
This helped me out so much :) Great pace throughout the whole video. You did a great job explaining each step. The world needs more people like you.
it's cool that you really stop and break it down. You won me over when you showed how to find the COM port...most folks don't go into detail with the "simpler" parts...good on you.
Thanks for the refresher! It's been over a year since I've done cisco switch/router configuration and I'm gonna be getting back into it soon so this really helped remind me how to do things.

Ditto!
great tutorial. Simple and straightforward with no air of superiority or overly complex language. Thank you very much!
Hi Jorge, thanks for the tutorial. Well set up, great for a newbie like me. Stuck inside during some ugly weather today and came across a stack of older Cisco switches a week back, and always wanted to begin learning how to configure them, get comfortable with it before heading down the Cisco Certification path. Your tutorial was perfect to begin down that route.
Hello Mr Almazan your video was very excellent .Studying for my ccna exam currently .Got a small ccna lab bought a Cisco 2600 series router and a layer 3 catalyst switch 3550 series. Keep the good job up.
Excellent video and extremely helpful. I was able to configure my first switch, and now I have a blueprint to follow. Thanks for sharing!
You have no idea how helpful this is! I'm gonna get an A in IS 460 for sure!!! Thank you!
I like your video. It was my first time to see how a cisco is configured.
beautiful video training, many thanks Jorge, looking forward to seeing more good VT. Thank you, Hemin
Thanks for this, I'm retired and this is a very nice refresher. I'm getting ready to configure a network for our church.
I have an older switch and I could not figure out how to set up the basic intial config. This video helped me out so much even though its older. thank you so much!!
This was really helpful - thanks

Thank you Jorge. i am studying for my CCNA as well. this is helpful.
Great Job in explaining as you set up the switch
This tutorial I've been looking for a long time finally I just find it and this is very important. Especially for myself that I am just a beginner in configuring a switch. Thanks for being helpful for the other people. And next time I hope you have a video about creating a server using pfsense.
glad you enjoyed it buddy. this is only a quick setup. thinking about running more advanced classes soon.
Great video man!!! I'm studying for the CCENT right now. Thanks for the help

Great Video, Good Explanations. I am in CISCO 2 now.
Great tutorial, Needed to see the actual configurations in progress to put the book knowledge to use.
Excellent Cisco switch configuration guide. Thanks!
Jorge, I appreciate your video on setting up switches. I actually have two 2950 switches and one 3550 switch. I also got two 2800 series routers from my job since they were upgrading and I have always been interested in networking. Your video on showing how to setup passwords on other items is very helpful to a newbie like me. I will continue to watch other videos you have and practice, practice, practice. Once again thanks for the information.
Thank you! You saved my day! Cheers!
Bought two Catalyst 4948s on ebay mostly for the 10Gb modules. Couldn't get them to work. You solved my problem! Nobody else talks about setting VLan1 with an ip, or assigning it to the ports. That worked, thanks! Now at least it's working like my linksys was :)
Thanks man. Just getting into networking
thanks for this video. i have cisco switch 2690 x series. im about to start learning this basic configuration
Thank you. I'm pursuing CCNA certification as well and videos like this are very helpful.

please let me know how that goes im thinking of working on my CCNET and CCNA too
This was a great video. The only thing I was waiting for was you to run #show ip brief again so I could see what the ports show after you interfaced the range of ports. I'm currently trying to teach myself how to configure new ie2000 switches and integrate them into our network. A contractor was responsible for all the initial switches but now whenever a new location is added, I will need to configure a switch for it. I'm so glad to have resources like this or I would be hosed.
thank you bro for your sharing.really help me to understand simple swicth config
Perfect video!, well explained! thank you!
Thank you very much , was very good explained, just stating with Cisco ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You rock! Nuff said...
Very good tutorial, it really help me a lot, in my case I have to add a switch 3560(POE) to my rack and I followed your instructions, create a vlan and assigned the 48 ports but to make sure I'm not missing a step, do I have to connect with a crossover cable from any port from the existing switch to my number 1 port in my new one? Hope you can clear me up this option,
Really helpful. Thanks man!

I so much like tutorial. thanks very much.
thanks for the lesson learn
Great video! :D
thanks. really nice video and informative but will really like to know how to trunk a gigabyte port and turn it on or off
You can use "conf t" instead of typing out configure terminal every time.
nice work!
What i no is that in Cisco switch default vlan is 1. And you start creating your vlan on 1. but the way i love your tutorial. thanks for for the video.
really good, very informative, I just got my switch out the box for £30 and its been great going through this one with you. one point, as a switch is a layer 2 device, are you sure you needed to configure the IP address on your computer? I thought those activity lights were just showing data link connectivity? can you link me to your other tutorials? Regards Daniel
It really helps.... Thanks a ton!!!!
