I've watched so many videos and yours is the only one that actually got me somewhere lol. I still can't do a granny square though, it just turns into a circle. But it's the best circle I've gotten so far :)

You need to make sure your doing 3 2 3 in the corner and turning ect, the corner is the crucial part making it square like x

I taught myself to crochet 10 months ago. I got so carried away that 2 months later I had made a lovely blanket using about 100 granny squares. Today I thought I'd make some more, but I simply couldn't remember how to do them. I watched a few other videos and I was always getting stuck going around the corner. But after watching your video, I've done it. It was easy to follow and very well explained. THANK YOU

Thanks anyway.. I have completed my first blanket ever.. it's huge. 17"*17". And I attached 12 pieces together. Have not given it to my son.. waiting for our festival.. I'm 100% sure he would love it

This has built my confidence. Mine aren't perfect, but I can see how much progress I am making with each new square. Thank you for this tutorial!

I didn't know how I kept going wrong and producing lopsided squares. I followed three instructors before you, watched carefully, but kept making the same mistake even though I was imitating the videos. THEN I FOUND YOU, and now my squares look square! Thank you! (I still don't know what I was doing wrong, but whatever it was, it's gone.)

Oh, and those circles make great pot holders, hot plate mats, coasters. Pretty much anything you want to put something on 🙂. I like to put them under my plants to keep them sturdy. You can make 2 the same size, cut out a platform then stitch them together around the platform for hanging plants.

It would have been nice to show finishing off as well. Very easy to follow, thank you.

I’ve never crocheted before and this tutorial made it so easy! I did use a very chunky yarn with an 8mm hook which made it hard to count my chains so I recommend using a regular yarn but it’s not impossible either!

Thank you. Got it right from the first try And I'm an absolute beginner, great tutorial.

The first corner may seem confusing because you are only doing 3 double crochet but at the end of the square you are putting 3 doubles into the 1st 3 doubles and chaining two then join. I hope this helps.

The best video I have seen. You take your time and explain everything.

Thank you for not making a video that’s almost an hour long! Every other video on granny squares are confusing and spend 10+ minutes alone on what hook you need for what yarn and what yarn brand you “need” to buy. That you for getting to the point and just showing how they work!
