Love it when Barry's speed is tied to the plot. When there's no reason for it he's unbeleivably fast that everything else stands still..then when fighting a villain he's slow enough to be tags by bullets and other random shit.

Despite Season 7 being not the best season of the Flash, I still think this is a cool moment where we see the Flash be the Flash. He's finally been able to overcome his arch nemesis in an instant, proving he really is the fastest man alive. Wish it could've happened way earlier though.

And in the Season 5 finale, Reverse Flash had Barry and Nora each chasing a speed mirage while they perceived nothing in between those mirages.

Barry's speed is infuriatingly inconsistent. He's somehow simultaneously fast enough do dodge another speedster moving in what appears to him as slow motion, yet also slow enough to get decked by a regular ass brute in a unitard.

Man... I want to love this show so much. The Thawne-Barry interactions are amazing, and this iteration of Reverse Flash is one of the more compelling comic villains brought to the screen in recent years. But the regular series episodes are just such a slog to go through... It feels like eating a bowl of porridge mixed with buckets of sand, but then you get a perfectly glazed donut of a scene to keep you invested. I tried for 3 seasons, but now I just watch villain clips on KZread instead.

What makes this line sooooo hard is when you watch the first and second season, Barry always felt helpless because he was slow and didn't know what to do. He almost took the V9 in S2 because of what happened. To hear and see him actually be faster made this flex top notch

@@tobsonasanya4765 It makes no sense. Barry got three different speed buffs this season. He even got one this episode. If Barry is this fast, there's no way he needed Thawnes help. Theres no way godspeed was this fast either. It was just lazy writing to bring Thawne back. I love reverse flash, but there's different ways to handle his return. This moment just makes the entire flash/reverse flash and godspeed fight look like a joke.

My God, why do people complain about Barry letting Thawne go? He’s been able to put his desire for revenge behind him. Letting Thawne go was his intention. And since he proved he could outrun Reverse Flash, Thawne fighting him no longer holds meaning. So when Thawne ran away, Barry allowed it. Not “oh I can’t catch him.” It’s “it would be too easy to catch him, plus my intention was letting him go in the first place, so I’m not upset that he did the smart thing and took my offer of leaving.”

What a fight between the flash and quicksilver would look like

Remember in s6 "Ultraviolet light travels 80 times faster then you" seems like barry's speed depends on the writers mood per episode 😂 One episode Barry can outrun a nuke for 30 mins (a nuke explosion lasts 4.5 mili seconds btw) and in another a big lady just grabs him and he can't run away 😂😂

What SHOULD’VE happened: Thawn: *Starts running away* Barry: *Slows down time again as he casually walks up past Thawn, looks him up and down, and jaw jacks him with a right hook that knocks him out* Barry: “You’re not running away this time, Thawn.”

Barry's speed is actually bullshit. He's constantly saying "I'm too slow" or "I need to be faster" and in a few episodes he's "faster" then next season he's on repeat mode. It wasn't unbearable when the first 3 main villains were speedsters but damn, did he really need to be "faster" against The Thinker, Cicada, and Mirror Monarch. Also how tf does this man just let villains escape. He's hundreds of times faster than them but as soon as they turn the corner they become uncatchable. And why can Barry fight multiple speedsters but can't beat people with special guns in 1 go. Barry's speed is indeed bullshit.

Thawne could've shaken off Barry's ambush and kept up the fight but Barry knocked him out cold twice and not even, Barry was still able to box him up in the 11th episode and still decisively beat him. Not to mention also beating Zoom singlehandledy at the end.

Well to be fair, Barry always knew how to roast people. Just think of Elseworlds. First he triggered Oliver by NOT arguing with him and when Oliver wanted to blitz him, Barry made him tripped and said "If you would have full control of my powers, I wouldn't be able to lay a finger on you" while he mastered Ollies powers like it was a Tuesday morning.
