Any tips on how to get started working on one? I have one and there’s a lot of work to be done but I have no idea where to start?

@@felix-huebner-soccer-07 I would recommend breaking everything into small goals. Like getting it cleaned up to work on or started/running and go from there. I don't recommend tearing it all down at once for your first restoration. It can be a little overwhelming. If you like I have a few full build videos on my channel you can check out. Best of luck on your project.

Hey! I just picked up a pretty sweet one-owner '68 F-100. It's been built with a 427/C6 and had paint about 13 years back. Nice enough to not mess too much with it for now, but wondered about the thumping noise it makes when I go over a bump (larger). It sounds like the bed is bouncing, but I've not had an old vehicle for so long that I don't know where to look. I truly love this truck and I got it because as a kid, I spent my summers with my grandparents and my grandpa took us everywhere in his. Trying to be calm when noises pop up, but I've not worked on old vehicles since high school! Thank you

I learned to drive in a 1969 F1 hundred. Three on the tree with the V-8 engine I believe the 360. It was not the 390 or 352 but it was the camper special and had a lot of low end

BEAUTIFUL truck dude. I had one back in '78. Was blue and white. Even with gas prices like they are now, wish I still had it. They just don't make trucks like that anymore. 😥

This F -100 series model was the one my grandpa had back in the 70s. I loved that truck, I was a little toddler, and everytime my gandpa took me for a ride, when we went back home I started to cry, I wanted to keep going! This restoration is wonderful, I guess this truck must be in the 100k price tag?

Awesome job! One thing I noticed though was your pic of the wiring, why do it from scratch when they have full, labeled wiring harnesses available? Painless or Kwik Wire.

They sure look pretty before you get them really apart, then you may find a Fred Flintstone Vehicle! Lol I am preparing to do a frame off to my 1969 f250 short box crew cab, Yes one owner was my daily for 40 plus years and got too embarrassed to drive it. Zero dents, perfect doors and pins etc but front floor gone, cab mounts at bases gone lots if rusty typical 67-72 areas. Factory ordered with all the goodies auto ps pb air etc. Not gonna make a shower truck or resto mod. Just gonna clean her up nicely! While I drive my 1970 daily f250 sport custom camper special. It's a survivor. Very very clean and minimal rust issues, paint good etc running gear and chassis Super. Have 431 stroker, C-6, 373 posi, rear end original to truck Thankful to have both Love these years a lot! Congrats on your restoration it's a Beauty!

Damn. And it takes about two years of all of that hard work to bring it back to long life again. If people would only knew how to keep them running and moving. We'd only have to buy them and drive them? SMH. Sighhhh.

And Yes not shopping anything out! All metal paint mechanical etc in house. Smiles...........We shall See how this goes. Maybe YT the tear down and back up! That does look time consuming, The Video Part! The vehicle I understand! Not photography. PS really like you re purposed old parts as opposed to after market, hoping to do the same on my exterior body hood etc. Got any ideas who has a parts mix? Please advise anyone who reads this Thanks

I always chemical dip my body on frame off builds. It is the ideal way to eliminate all corrosion and find any rot. The metal work is a breeze with no paint or bondo . Plus it make’s bodywork go so much better and the final result is a absolute straight and beautiful paint job. The dip tanks are a restorers best friend.
