Kashmir was flourishinvg land of Kushan empire and Shaivism before the onslaught of Islam came after 7 the century. Then Islamists converted many locals there.Entire demographics was changed. Then the same converted people caused genocide of Pandits and removed them from Kashmir.With help of Pakistan the same people wielded weapons for destruction of India under the garb of freedom. Attacked the hearts of Indian cities and Indian people.And tested the tolerance of the great Democratic India. And the falsified narratives about India and its army were created. Barkha did group talk with kashmiris. Among 12 people all were muslims. Not one Hindu or Dalit or advasi or Christian or Jain. So.. let me get this... In Darul e Islam only Muslim voice matters. The minority voice does not matter. She did not ask her favorite question.. why the Kashmiri majority area has not given a single ticket to a person from the Hindu minority? I like this Nehruvian variety of secularism.

I am conflicted about this. That Barkha has gone to Baramullah, a place i love, and given voice to many good people is wonderful. On the other hand, it brings to mind her dark role in reporting on Kashmir, when she essentially became the mouthpiece of terrorists and islamists. Hopefully, with God's grace, we have all moved on from that period and can build something better together.

Article 370 was removed in August 2019 and then we had Covid for almost 2 years. There has been amazing progress in Kashmir in extremely short time. Modi government did a great job.

@@subramanianramajayam2467 Development takes time and money. Tamil Nadu got AIIMS in Madurai under PM Modi. It was announced in 2015, and the institute was established in 2021. I believe we are on the right path, but things take time.
Barkha you forgot to raise the issues of Kashmiri Hindus. I was expecting you will ask people why resettlement of Hindus is not been discussed. This is because you yourself have forgotten the issues of Hindus. place where you are having this discussion had good number of Hindu population. Many were zamindars who left their land property houses overnight. when they were saying that they want Kashmiris should get dignity and treated fairly outside kashmir and you were nodding endorsing their view still it didn't cross your mind the return of Kashmiri Hindus with dignity i am feeling sad for you Kindly introspect

Strange logic has escaped a seasoned journalist the higher voter turnout in Baramulla is because of a far, far improved law and order and that has happened solely due to strong leadership in New Delhi who after abrogation of Article 370 ensured cross border terrorism from Pakistan could be controlled significantly which led to no stone pelting incidents. Credit should go where it is due. And the Supreme Court of India by upholding the revocation of Article 370 & 35A by the Narendra Modi government clearly indicated that the introduction of Article 370 and 35A by Jawarharlal Nehru cabinet was constitutionally WRONG and because of this wrongful act by India's first Prime Minister generations of Kashmiris particularly Kashmiri Hindus suffered immense violence and trauma for 72 years till 2019.

Kashmir does not generate much electricity ? Major potential of electricity generation is in Jammu province not in Kashmir.
Kashmiri Hindus call it "Sheer Chaai" ! Sheer means milk. This is a brew with salt and milk. Traditionally butter is not an ingredient of Sheer chai or Noon Chai.

The man who spoke about bangalore has to understand, the people there chose peace and stability and not guns, viloence and religious bigotry. The people there do not kill, and chase people of other faiths, they have chosen humanity largely, ofcouse with few exceptions. If you dont have the nerves or courage to stand up against the evil in your society, dont balme others for it's consequences.

Barkha, not a single person talked about the return of Kashmiri Pandits. They want their students going across India to be treated well. But KPs are not important to them. Everyone was more selfish about their needs, which is fair enough. Also no one mentioned anything about the sacrifices of the security forces. They also said that all the power produced by them must be given to them first. Whatever remains extra must be taken by other states. They ignore that people like me in Chennai have paid taxes to their welfare even when the contribution of J&K to our exchequer was negligible. Overall I am disappointed that the attitude unfortunately is more about themselves & not about fellow KPs & India at large. And still they want them to be highly respected. 😩
J & K Bank should finance this effort of Burka for old times sake. Their love for pieces was seen since 1990 esp. Vis a vis Pandits!! Kashmir Pundits shall never forgive Burka as she sold her soul to Uzbeks. Burka must be missing Burhan Wani the great freedom lover terrorist and other like minded fellow travelers.

I understood one thing talking to few kashmiris in kashmir! they see Indians as poor bad looking etc and pride themselves with fair skin and will always let you know that he knows english! english is the standard of their literally! when a local kashmiri was talking in english i intentionally said i can't speak english to see a flair of pride in his eyes! Kashmiris are poor with arguments any muslim for that matter but since kashmiri is a constructed identity of muslim they are just very easy to manipulate! hope govt does a better job this time!

This is a left wing channel. It’s ok, people can host anything as long as it’s not harmful to others. Kashmir is a difficult place. It’s dominated by Muslims, and local mullahs have a lot of say and control. Maybe they are not happy a bjp govt brought peace to the valley? Maybe they are told to express anger in a certain way ? At some point, you have to work hard and carve your own path like the rest of India. It’s a new democracy, but same old players: PDP and NC. Let’s hope they can find new leaders who care, vs parties whose grandfathers have granted land to farmers, so vote on loyalty rather than common sense.

Great, entire community awakening. Now they realised,few people fooled the entire community in the name of article 370. The majority learned people from Baramulla accepted that article 370 is history. All are interested in development. A beautiful cricket stadium to be built at the earliest..... God bless Kashmir.
