I know Tom doesn't always like larger players counts, which is totally fine. However, one of the big selling points for me on this expansion was the extra player boards for more players. We played an 8 player game tonight at the library and it was a blast, people keep asking me to bring the game back to play more. Shoot with the game shop promo board I got, I'm even tempted to throw in a 9th player. And we haven't even touched the black market stuff yet, so I imagine it will only get more fun.

Worth it just for Dungeons and Bargains joke alone. Added a bit of complication with a few cards that was easy to resolve but really added depth and tactic to the game. Do you pass the Black market card you just pulled and risk the pull on the Backpack, and throw away the Wishing Lamp... or pass the lamp and burn the pack... argh so much calculating and clever decisions it is great. To also see the heroes leave the shop and you know what is in store for them, feeling either pride that you know they will survive or upset...but not for the hero so much as it is that you regret not being able to save the coins they still had rattling in the pockets as they left which could not been profit off of. As tactical and deep as the game is, it is still easy enough to understand that my young nephew was able to grasp it.
