Javier Tebas chose not to have goal line technology in La Liga citing that it is too expensive. The cost to buy the license for the technology from FIFA is 3.5 million. This is the biggest share of the expense to include this technology. 3. Recently, 18 out of 20 La Liga teams voted to reelect Javier Tebas and increase his salary from 3.36 to 5.4 million. Barcelona voted in favor and Real Madrid was one of the two teams that voted against it.

Out of the two clubs, guess which one voted for Tebas’ salary raise instead of using that money to install goal line technology. Yep, they’re in red and blue. Only two La Liga clubs that actually voted against Tebas’ raise and wanted goal line tech installed instead - Athletic Bilbao and Real Madrid. The rest of La Liga clubs, Barca included, made their bed and now they can lie in it.

It makes a world of difference when the facts are distorted... why do you think there was so much fuss about it? This "Ghost goal" was not able to be conclusively proven from the available evidence so it can never become a fact... it is an unknown and hence cannot be given. Yes, goal-line tech should be there - it it isn't today. Lets see if the La-Liga teams vote to have it included for the next season (its not Tebas who decides 100%).

Only two La Liga clubs actually voted against Tebas’ salary raise and his dismissal of goal-line tech for being ‘too expensive’ - Athletic Bilbao and Real Madrid. The rest of La Liga clubs, Barca included, made their bed and now they can lie in it. Laporta at this point is just a caricature that needs to lay off the Cocktails and Canapés. Funny how he doesn’t make a statement asking for all the relevant evidence for the Negreira case, but I suppose it is a bit difficult now to replay 20 years of La Liga games and UCL ties like Chelsea vs. Barca 2009. Regardless - Barca need to clean house, be coherent with their complaints and sort themselves out first before pointing fingers at anyone else.

@@bryandelcid4065 Bro get some reading comprehension, the reason why I mentioned that game is to prove an implicit but obvious point: it’s difficult and unrealistic now to replay a tie like that exactly, because it’s been over a decade. The result of that UCL tie is inconsequential to me as my club went on to win the whole thing another 5 times, possibly 6 if they go the full distance this year. For Chelsea fans however it’s a different story, and they rightfully will always have an axe to grind about what happened that night in London. I empathise with them though: just because it’s been over a decade doesn’t make it any less of a robbery for many people.

With or without Xavi, one thing is for certain at Barcelona is that they need to make some changes in the summer because you can’t go into next season with the same squad it’s just not possible. You’ll finish the season trophy less out of the title race in La Liga, they’re not in the champions league and they’re an easily beatable team. Many of their problems can’t be down to Xavi even if he at times has gotten his tactics and substitutions wrong at times, they probably need a better manager, but their problems beyond the coach. In recent years they don’t deliver when it matters the most, look at the Liverpool collapse at Anfield and the crumble against Roma, same thing against Bayern Munich when they lost to them 8-2, back to back seasons in the Europa League, couldn’t even win the Europa League typical Barca fashion, lost 4-1 to PSG at home twice in a span of 3 years and this season they’ve lost every time they’ve played against Real Madrid and if you count the Copa Del Rey semifinals last season in the 2nd leg that’s 4 losses in a row against Madrid. This is a worrying trend that they had under previous managers not just Xavi and his European record there is absolutely woeful. Barcelona are further away than ever before from getting back to being an elite European team and winning the Champions League and this Barca DNA that worked for them in the early 2000s that Xavi has been trying to implement doesn’t work with the current squad. The team as a whole need to be rejuvenated if they want to get back to competing for trophies and they can’t make any significant transfers because they don’t have money. You need to offload players in order to balance the books because you don’t want to only sign players on a free transfer or loan them out, academy players have been working for them, you don’t want to ask them to play 50+ games a season at such a young age, one of the best players on the team is a 16 year old. This team really needs to strengthen the squad big time whether it’s the attack midfield or even one of the fullback positions and whether Xavi stays or they get a new manager, they have to be backed in the transfer window and get the right players for the system. It’s not just offloading players or making significant transfers that they need to do, what’s concerning about Barcelona is the amount of injuries they’ve had particularly in the midfield. That is their biggest problem and apart from Gundogan, Pedri de Jong and Gavi have missed a chunk of the season due to injuries and it’s been a recurring problem for them all season. That’s another reason why Barcelona are a laughingstock and someone is getting fired at the end of the season and it’s not their manager. Whether how fragile the players are or their medical staff in general, Barcelona’s biggest problem is injuries and that makes them a joke of a football club. You have to really question them especially since ousmane Dembele struggled with injuries at Barcelona, yet all of a sudden why he has been fit all season since his move to PSG last summer. When a former player is saying that they don’t use any of the training facilities in the gym that’s a problem and that’s part of their injury crisis.

Why do you remove the replays?

If Barca wants a replay so bad, they should wait till Madrid has clear schedule which is in a couple of months (next season basically)

Kroos was fouled when he climbed. Unfortunately Kroos didn't appeal, so the goal stood. The match should've ended 3-1.

I can’t tell if you’re serious. Barcelona got robbed of an incorrect offside and a penalty in the first leg, and abidal got a straight red for anelka tripping over his own legs at Stamford bridge. At least have the common sense to be neutral. Both teams were affected by horrible refereeing, but keep deflecting.

La league should include goalline technology. This is really insane.

What no one is talking about is that Cubarsi was impeding Lunin and in the off side position. The question at hand is millimeters, the distance between the ball and the line. Let's say the ball did cross and say it was a goal. VAR would then come into play and rule Cubarsi off side, goal disallowed. Goal line should not be an issue in 2024 in La Liga of all leagues ffs!!! This hurts everyone involved and all other teams.

It's funny how quickly people turn on players. Cancelo had 2 bad games. Yes, they were very important games, but when he scored goals and had great assists, he was the hero. I think Cancelo has value to Barca, I just think he is in the wrong position. I think he would be better in the Midfield or as a Forward. He has speed, likes to have ball possession and he likes to take shots on goal. His natural instinct is not to defend so it doesn't make sense why he is there in the first place. I think he has more value to Barca than Felix. Araujo was on the hit list last game. Most of the season he was our most valuable defender. Raphinha was getting blasted for most of the season and then he scored in 2 straight games, and everyone loved him. If you truly are a Barca fan, stop trying to tear down their team.

Rafa would be a blessing he knows all the La Masia players and he WILL use them al. For example we have Faye on the bench a real talent in the back. Rafa Will use him. And he will use more players like Lamine, Cubarsi, Gavi, Balde, Forth and he will use them all and bring in even more talents from La Masia. Don’t forget that these players used to play and live together since they where toddlers. That’s what makes La Masia great we are a family. That’s how Guardiola did it in his time. Even if that goal was allowed, Real Madrid would score one more goal and win. While watching game it felt like Real Madrid players were playing with 70% of their best. Even after getting a head start and leading twice they couldn’t keep the lead even for 10 minutes. Vini could have scored back to back hat trick against Barca but looked like he was not really interested in causing trauma.
