Great video as are all your barcelo videos I've watched so far. I've stayed at two different rooms in this complex both times on the palace side, not on the family or adult sections. Both times junior suites, but also a junior suite family premium level room and it was the perfect room for a family. We had 3 adults and a child. The room was large, is was like two of the rooms in this video with two bathrooms 2 beds in each and a huge deck that went the length of both rooms with ocean views. The premium level has it's benefits, from the free WiFi to the water parks, premium lobby, French restaurant and do many more perks it's worth the additional cost.

@@SunnySouthVacations Hard to name just one, I liked the whole layout of the resort, it's modern, big and bright, it just has that "it" feeling, as soon as you walk in you go wow! Huge pools, great beachfront...Also should mention the pool bar waitress/Bartender, Dulce, was perhaps the best bartender I've ever seen. Like clockwork I would think, "hey I need a drink" and I would turn around and she'd be there bringing a drink. Also the kids activities, like the children water parks were great for my young one. So many restaurant choices, the buffets had such a great long variety, the sports bar had good food 24/7...I've been to a few other All Inclusives that when it hit a certain time you were gonna be eating cold cheese sandwiches and shriveled hot dogs or just popcorn that's been sitting around. My only negative and it's not the resorts fault since they try their best but the seaweed situation can be hit or miss. I see when you went to the beach it was absolutely seaweed free. Lately the only place I've seen without any seaweed whatsoever was the RIU Ocho Rios in jamaica, although that was a few years ago so I can't speak for it now.

@@aikidoboynj it sounds like you had an amazing time and after being there myself I'm not surprised. The beach was indeed fantastic when I was there and while I didn't have my daughter with me I knew she'd love those waterparks. Thanks again for watching my videos and please consider subscribing. @@SunnySouthVacations Definitely, I'm so ready to go back, I already subscribed to your channel, do you have any places in mind for when Covid is over? Any recommendations in DR besides barcelo? I visited La Romana Iberostar as well and while the ocean was better regarding seaweed there was pretty much none but the actual facility left a lot to be desired, while beautiful in it's own way with many animals trees, plants, it's traditional style is starting to show it's age as well as the rooms, this is my recollection from 2017 but although nice and relaxing it didn't have that "wow" factor that Barcelo had.

Hi Paul, thanks for stopping by the channel and for the great question. Yes, all Junior Suites have the outdoor jacuzzi. That said, you may want to take a look at the Premium Level perks as they are quite good. You have access to the premium level lounge, priority check in and check out, you can make advanced reservations at the restaurants, complimentary access to the Pirates Island waterpark as well as an elevated mini-bar among other benefits. Is the bathroom area just opened, is there no privacy door separating the shower?

Also do you no if purchasing at premium level, is there premium liquor available at that level? I’m looking to book and tryna see if it’s all worth it. Especially now during the pandemic

@@tyronnac_1488 I don't see any mention of a premium liquor upgrade that comes with Premium Level. They do provide a welcome bottle of rum and you would have access to the Premium Level lounge which may serve more premium liquors. Is there a particular brand/bottle that is of more interest to you? do all junior suits have a view of the ocean? I am booked to come in may for a junior suite and was hoping to see the ocean from the balcony!!

Hi Sergio, unfortunately I don't as I was up against some tight time constraints when I was at the resort. That said, the Jr Suite and Jr Suite Premium level aren't that much different. They are located in the same buildings closest to the ocean. You can see they are U-shaped buildings from my video. The Premium Level rooms are the tips of the U-shape and are considered oceanfront vs oceanview. The Premium Level rooms are also slightly bigger at 569 sq ft vs 511 sq ft. The big different you'll notice is the location (oceanfront) and the Premium Level amenities such as personalized check in, concierge access, preferred access to a la carte restaurants without limit and access to private lounge among many other benefits. @@sergiorivera4954 the regular Jr Suites do not offer a separate bedroom option, however, the Family Jr. Suites do offer the separate bedroom and a second bathroom. Here's a quick breakdown. How far apart are the superior room from the Jr suite?

Hi RaRa Ryes, the Superior Rooms can be a good distance away from Junior Suites. I would estimate a 8-12min walk depending on which building you're in as both the Superior Rooms and Junior Suites can be found in multiple buildings. Sergio, another great question. The fee to upgrade varies as the number of Premium Level rooms is limited. Depending on your travel dates, time of year and current capacity limits the upgrade can be higher or lower.
