Thanks for the great video! One suggestion is to change the music to more of a chillout lounge vibe which would go with the adult luxury theme. I will look for more Sandals content from you!
Hi @fasting50plus , thank you for stopping by the channel, for watching my Sandals Royal Bahamian full resort tour and for dropping a helpful bit of feedback in the comments. Did you find the music didn't fit the resort or was it simply too loud? I have limitations on the music tracks available. I chose that one probably because I hadn't used it in a while. I feel it's a little too loud but would love any further feedback you have some I can get better.
Our favorite resort. Been 3 times so far. Feels like home now
Hi @EndlessJourneys5003 , it really is a nice little resort. What keeps you going back year after year?
Any need for reservation for the restaurants? Thanks.
Hey @orenpa1 thank you for stopping by the channel and for watching my most recent video tour of Secrets Tides. Reservations are not required at any of the restaurants as of my video being released. The only exception is the hibachi/teppanyaki tables in Meraki. Are you planning a vacation at the resort?
@SunnySouthVacations yes. I have reservation to the resort for April 2025
@@orenpa1 that's super exciting. What was it about the resort that made you feel like it was the right one for you?
@@SunnySouthVacations A combination of preferences. For adults only, a relatively new resort with good reviews
@@orenpa1 you're right. There is a lot to love about this resort. I've been fortunate to have stayed and toured a lot of great resorts. This was definitely a Top 3 for me personally. I liked the size of the pools and that all the loungers seemed like they were in a great spot.
Iberostar Tucan Quetzal is our favorite. We started going there 10 years ago and already have our 2025 winter break scheduled. Thanks for a well made and positive video.
Hi @TheSaturn1997 thank you for stopping by the channel and for kind words about my Iberostar Quetzal video. It sounds like you're big fans of the resort. What makes it your favourite and keeps bringing you back year after year?
Thanks for this great video and review. We are considering the Wyndham Alltra, how does it compare to the Wyndham Grand ? Also, was it quiet at night and what was the caliber of the al la carte restaurant food and is the Alcohol considered top shelf as in types of Beer and Liquor. Thanks again, great narration as well.
Hi @dmur5828 thank you for stopping by the channel and for sharing some kind words. I love hearing that people are enjoying the content. I'm happy to watched my video tour of the Wyndham Alltra Cancun. I haven't been to the Wyndham Grand nor have I sent clients to that resort so it's a difficult comparison. I would suggest that the Wyndham Alltra does get quieter a night because the theatre show are in a converted conference room so the sound is contained. They do tend to have a live singer each night in Kaa the lobby bar but it doesn't go late and the volume level was perfect. That said, the resort doesn't shutdown early, you'll find people out and about until midnight or a touch later. They have a good variety of alcohol and spirits. Like all resorts they will default to giving you and lower shelf items but you can ask for something different. The better quality stuff can be found in the Alltra VIP Club Lounge. If you'd like to chat further about booking and possibly have me assist you please feel free to email me directly at [email protected] . You'll pay the same with me as you would online plus you'd get real professional customer service.

Great video! We are going in September and your video was very helpful so we will know what to expect. I know there is no casino on site but are the evening entertainment options pretty limited?
Hey @dshillow401 so happy to hear that my video tour of Secrets Tides was helpful to you. I hope it got you more excited about your vacation as well. There is no onsite casino at Secrets Tides but there is one at the neighbouring Breathless Punta Cana. I'm not sure if they'd allow it but perhaps worth asking if you're able to use the casino at that resort. The evening entertainment at Secrets Tides was fantastic. Usually a singer or performer in the outdoor area of the lobby near Rendezvous, most nights there was a show in main theatre and Desires has a live DJ. What are you most excited about seeing or doing at Secrets Tides?
@@SunnySouthVacations Thank you very much for your quick reply. I am looking forward to just relaxing in such a nice resort with my wife and friends. I plan to hang out on the beach, around the pool, take breaks to eat and then repeat. We opted for a preferred club suite so we are really looking forward to that. Also, looking forward to trying some great food. Hopefully not all of the dining options are challenging or geared toward people who like experimenting.
@@dshillow401 You'll have a fantastic time at Secrets Tides. The beach is so big and the chairs are so spread out. The Preferred pool is extremely nice and so close to the beach as well. The food is also great. For me it was only a challenge at Meraki and Tierra but I still found some great options and was happy to set out of my daily comfort zone. My favourite was El Patio. I love Mexican food. Thanks again for stopping by the channel and for dropping a comment on my video. When you get back from your vacation please share your trip report with us.

Good Video!
Hey @ericxy2989 thank you for dropping some kind words in the comments. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the video. Are you planning a vacation to Iberostar Quetzal or reminiscing about a past vacation?
Hi Jeff, I was at this resort more than a decade ago; was the bed rock hard? It was back then. Thanks for this video.
Hi @davidng407 thank you for watching my video tour of the Premium Pool View room at Iberostar Quetzal. I found the bed to be quite comfortable. I can't speak to whether they were replaced recently or not though. Thanks again for watching.
You were so quick with showing the beach! I’ve seen other reviews say that the ocean was too choppy to go into and it wasn’t safe for swimming, was that your experience as well? I’m surprised a resort would market themselves as family friendly if their area of the beach wasn’t safe for swimming.
Hi @katygallardo2227 thank you for stopping by the channel and for watching my video tour of Seadust Cancun. Yes, I didn't show much of the beach which is unfortunate but sometimes the footage I capture isn't quality enough for my videos. It could be noise, it could be a blurry camera lens due to humidity or a number of other reasons. In this instance, it the humidity blurring my footage. I thought the beach at Seadust and along the entire hotel zone was lovely. It can get a little wavey but that has nothing to do with it's location and more to do with weather patterns. If there is very little wind you'll have an incredibly calm beach. That said, they call themselves a family resort due to the all the family friendly amenities at the resort from the kids club, to the teen club, the splash pad and the waterpark. Are you considering a vacation at Seadust Cancun?
I am going with my boyfriend Kevin September 1st can’t wait this video helps a lot
Hey @user-ke2qi9gk6d thank you for stopping by the channel and for watching my video tour of Freedom of the Seas. I'm happy to hear you're going to be sailing Freedom of the Seas in September. Is this your first cruise or have you sailed before? What are you most looking forward to?
It looks like they got rid of mini golf below the ropes courses and rock climbing on the back of the funnel!
Hi @maxeisenman3006 good eye. Yes, the rock climbing wall and mini golf course were remove when the ship went into dry dock during the pandemic. It is my understanding that they expanded the funnels to include some new equipment which required a bit more space and resulted in the rock climbing wall and mini golf course needing to be removed. Have you sailed on Breakaway before or are you scheduled to sail on her soon? Sounds like you enjoyed the rock climbing wall and the mini golf.
Is this considered an oceanview room or garden view?
Hey @Amiilyne1010 that is a fantastic question. This room would be considered Garden View, however, I could still see the ocean from my balcony by looking out and over to my left. Thank you for stopping by the channel and watching my Junior Suite room tour at Hilton Playa del Carmen. Are you planning a vacation to the resort?

July 21st for me. Does the market place take cash? Does any store?
Hey @mattmosco8456 thank you for stopping by the channel and for watching my video tour of Norwegian Breakaway. Your cruise vacation countdown is getting really low, you must be getting super pumped. You won't be able to use cash on board. Your room key is your credit card on board. There may be an option to pay that onboard bill with cash at guest services but none of the shops will accept cash. Hi @rolandlee5170 thank you for watching my video tour of Jewel Paradise Cove. What made your experience so awesome at the resort when you last visited?
is everything in the hotel room free also?
Hi @bobjohnson33293 thank you again for watching my video tour of Hyatt Ziva Cancun. Yes, everything placed in your mini-bar is complimentary.
are all the restaurants free?
Hi @bobjohnson3293 thank you for stopping by the channel and for watching my Hyatt Ziva Cancun video tour. Generally speaking, yes, all the restaurants are included with your stay at this all-inclusive resort. That said, there are a couple optional exceptions which include; private candlelit dinners on the beach and Chef's Table. The latter is a culinary journey that offers up six gourmet courses prepared by the head chef at the resort. All other restaurants are included but may have pay extra opportunities (ie: bottles of wine, lobster, tomahawk steaks). This is subject to change but should give you a good idea.
I just booked a cruise on the breakaway. It will be our 48th anniversary. Not much was mentioned about handicapped passengers and I would like to see my cabin virtually to see if an inside cabin will have enough room for my scooter. We've cruised at least a half dozen times with Carnival and their cabins are more than sufficient for a wheelchair or whatever you have. Well, now that I've unloaded on you, I really liked your video!
Hi @gailruge2564 congratulations on your upcoming 48th Anniversary. You're such an inspiration. I don't believe that Norwegian Cruise Line has virtual tours or offers stateroom measurements to guests. I'm guessing you booked an regular stateroom and not one marked as 'accessible'? If that's the case you may want to give them a call. Alternatively, if you booked your cruise less than 14 days ago I could potentially offer some more help to you personally. If you did book less than 14 days ago and wish to learn more about how I can help you with this matter please feel free to email me at [email protected] . In short, a booking made less than 14 days ago can be transferred to a travel agent which would allow me the opportunity to call Norwegian on your behalf. There would be no change to your booking at all (no change to stateroom, dates or price) everything stays the same. Again, if that's something you think would be beneficial to you please send me an email and we can talk further. Thank you for stopping by the channel and for watching my video tour of Norwegian Breakaway.

Show pool view rooms
Hey @kg2smooth2 thanks for stopping by the channel and for watching my Hyatt Zilara Cancun video. All suites would offer a pool view since all face the pool and ocean. Unfortunately, I was touring at night didn't get the best view but rest assured that was a pool view room. Thank you again for watching.
Great video you guys. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem with me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S.
Hi @stevenschindler8342 I love the question about accessibility. Seadust Cancun is like most resorts in the Cancun hotel zone in that they look and feel like a hotel in your nearest major city. They are high rise buildings versus many smaller buildings spread out over a larger property. For that reason I would suggest the hotel part is quite accessible as most guests regardless of ability would need to use the elevators to get to their rooms. All the restaurants and main bars are located in the tower so they are always just an elevator ride away. The pool deck and down to the beach may present a challenge as I only saw stairs but also wasn't looking to closely either. Thank you for stopping by the channel and taking the time to drop a helpful comment/question.
Looking to book this spot for October of 2024. What time of the year were you here for this video?

Review of the Resort: A "Memorable" Disappointment Well, well, where do I begin with my stay at this resort? Let's call it an "experience" - one I'm eager to forget. From the moment you step foot into what claims to be a luxurious haven, you're swiftly transported to what feels more like a cattle farm. Ah yes, the ever-charming wristband - your badge of dishonor. So, if you fancy being an easily identifiable mark for every vendor, potential miscreant, and overly enthusiastic local in Playa del Carmen, this place has you covered! Inside the resort? No escape. It's like being in a relentless sales pitch, but here, the ever-enthusiastic resort staff are the hawkers. Want to relax? Think again. They're always on standby to try and upsell you something. Upgrades, excursions, spa treatments, premium dinners - they're always on the hunt, and you're the prey. Ah, the serenity! But where things truly take a dangerous turn? The so-called "security". For an establishment boasting its exclusivity, the behavior of some guests seemed more fitting for a backstreet bar brawl than a high-end retreat. The open bar? It's more like a ticking time bomb, drawing in unruly twenty and thirty-somethings. With their increasingly aggressive antics and sheer disregard for others' safety, you'd think the resort was auditioning for a reality show on brawls. The "security" team? Oh, they were there, but their indifference and inaction were alarmingly evident. It felt less like a retreat and more like a hazardous obstacle course, where every day brought a new set of challenges to one's personal safety. "Smoke-free", they claimed. Yet the reality was an all-pervasive haze of secondhand smoke, and despite countless complaints, the smoky saga continued unhindered. And don't get me started on the so-called all-inclusive deal. Overpriced restaurants and room service that felt more like a drag than a luxury. At 700-800 euros per night, the returns were pitifully inadequate. Mediocre drinks, a "piña colada" more reminiscent of murky puddle water, and dated rooms that screamed of neglect. My first night? A cacophonous symphony thanks to the ancient air conditioner, forcing an urgent room switch. For a resort that parades itself as 5-star, a hesitant three would be a stretch. The raving reviews and promotional videos? One can't help but question their authenticity and how many palms were greased for those glowing endorsements. In short, if you're seeking luxury and relaxation, this resort is a masterclass in how not to deliver either. Steer clear.
Hi @mauroandriotto5400 , thank you for stopping by the channel and for watching my video tour of Hilton Playa Del Carmen. It's unfortunate that your experience fell short of your expectations. It also sounds so dramatically different from my experience, I wonder if we're talking about the same resort? That said, I do appreciate that everyone experiences things differently. That's why you see such a range in reviews and ratings on popular sites such as Trip Advisor. I really enjoy all-inclusive vacations as I find it's a great way for me and my family to travel. If this was your first experience, I'd encourage you to try it again in the future, but perhaps all-inclusive vacations aren't the best way for you to see different parts of the world. That's ok. There are so many different ways to travel and see the world there is something for everyone. Thank you again for stopping by the channel.
@SwayPromo Thanks as this is good to know. I just read other reviews that the cabanas get taken up pretty quick.
I love seeing this community supporting either other and filling in gaps. It's impossible to know everything. Thank you @swaypromo and @carmelaO-2023
Also, where is the best area around the pool to reserve the cabana’s?
No need to reserve cabanas. There’s so so so many open ones. On the beach too. The beach beds you don’t have to reserve. They just have a ton of free ones. Best of any resort I’ve seen

@@CarmelaO-2023 of course no worries. It’s amazing. The lobby bar is probably the only like blah thing about the place but there’s other awesome bars and the mixology place has good air conditioning. But everything else is amazing and you cannot beat the service. It’s a quiet resort overall. Also if you can do the swim up pool it’s 100% worth the extra price. It’s amazing. I liked being on the quiet side or the resort for my room. Can’t hear the music that’s on the other side of the resort. The beach parties are fun. There’s alot to do during the day then at 11pm it’s chill bed time type of feel. But it’s nice to relax without ton of music playing like other resorts I’ve been too. Another amazing option is the Hyatt ziva. You would love that one too. Two huge beaches.

@@Dntfwnb78 great question. The water in your room is not purified. I would not drink it nor would I brush your teeth with it. this is an overrated hotel. lack of maintenance. service is rude. the vibe and attitude is not the best
Hey @mikeonofre8635 thank you for stopping by the channel. I would agree the resort needs some work but I've seen it improve a lot over the last few months. The management and ownership group has changed and they are now backed by a larger resort management group which is making great efforts to improve the resort. It has really good bones as they would say in the real estate world but does need a face lift. I really love their family rooms and all the restaurants are centrally located which is also nice. Plus, the have that great waterpark. It will be interesting to see what this resort is like within the next six months to a year. When were you there last?
Have you been to Giuseppe's Italian Restaurant if you have do they have pizza?
Hi @TheDreamworld75 when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie that's amore. Yes, Guiseppe's serves up some great pizza and so does Bella Napoli. They both make great pizzas made to order. @@SunnySouthVacationsYes by this weekend I'm going to be there for 1 week. How long does it take to order and them to make pizzas?
@@TheDreamworld75 I don't recall the exact time. Giuseppe's is buffet style so they should be out and ready on demand. Bella Napoli is made to order and it really depends on how busy it is. Hi @jenmabelleplays1425 that's exciting news. What did you like so much about Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall that made you want to go?
@@SunnySouthVacations I went to the one in Mexico

Hi @LeslieVasilakis thank you for stopping by the channel and for watching my video tour of Hyatt Ziva Cancun. This was filmed in late November 2023. Are you planning a vacation to this resort soon?
I assume there is snorkeling equipment available for rent. Does that happen in another area of the park and an approximate cost if known.
Hi @KimKinney-yw3cz this is a fantastic question and I appreciate you asking. They do not offer snorkel gear for rent or at least they didn't when I was there back in May 2022. All guests of The Cabana Beach do have access to Chankanaab Park and I imagine there may be a spot to purchase the gear there but cannot confirm. I always say it's best to bring your own. You can buy a decent mask for an affordance rate on Amazon. Thank you for stopping by the channel.
Thanks very, very much.
@@KimKinney-yw3cz you're most welcome. Thanks for watching.
Hi Jeff is there an extra bed 🛌 that can be rolled in? There’s 3 of us
Hi @monicapopieniuk3565 thank you for the great question. The section couch doubles as a day bed. The back cushion are removed and bedding and pillows can be set up to make this a sleeping area. Hope this helps. Thank you for stopping but the channel and please consider joining our community by subscribing.
