Disney Cruise Line celebrates the holiday seasons like no other cruise line and Halloween on the High Seas is something everyone should experience once in their lifetime. Halloween on the High Seas cruises are typically offered across all ships from late September through October 31. To say that it is a very spirited cruise would be an understatement.
As you board the ship for your Halloween on the High Seas cruise you'll notice bewitching decor throughout and this will set the tone all the spook-tacular experiences to be had on board. The not so scary activities start on the first evening with the lighting and coming to life of the Halloween Tree which resides in the main atrium. The Halloween Tree remains on display throughout your cruise and becomes a wonderful spot to meet characters dressed in their costumes or for you to snap a selfie.
One night during your cruise will be designated as Halloween Night and the day will be filled with fun and festive activities and entertainment. The highlight is Mickey's Mouse-querade which is kicked off with an appearance and dance performance by the classic Disney characters in the Main Atrium. All the characters will be dressed up in their favourite Halloween costumes. This is followed by some Trick or Treating around the main public areas on the ship and capped with another dance performance and meet n greet with the characters. We got sooooooo much candy.
I should note that during your Halloween on the High Seas cruise you may encounter some characters you don't usually see on board. We were fortunate to see Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas and the Sanderson Sister's from Hocus Pocus.
