Barack Obama arrives in Sydney Australia - 26 March, 2023
US President Barack Obama has arrived in Sydney, Australia ahead of attending a conference at the ICC.
At around 6.45pm a large police presence supported by the Secret Service closed off parts of the road as the former president made their way into the city.
President Obama is joined by former First Lady Michelle Obama.
They are expected to also attend Melbourne as part of a paid speaking tour.

@@Nattaferg it isn't actually, these expenses are part of federal budget allocations by the host country as Obama is a diplomat. Same as providing security for consulates.

@@littlehippo5004 Obama is not a Diplomat. Diplomats are CURRENT foreign workers of a country on assignment overseas who have certain privileges beyond security. The only thing the host country provides is local security detail. Former US presidents travel with secret service which is at the expense of the US govt. So the mammoth's share of that cost is not bourne by the host country.
