Bar Rescue Is Television’s Most Unhinged Show

Комедия

It is once again time to bless our eyes and ears with Bar Rescue, what I consider to be the greatest show on television. Today, I thought it would be fun to bring a friend along and sit down for a love reaction. So enjoy as we try and wrap our heads around this monstrosity.

A friend of my family owns a bar in South Florida that was on the show (I think the episode was titled Beach Rats). It's still open, and doing well (not that it wasn't before the show). What actually happens is the producers find a bar that maybe isn't doing great or is genuinely run poorly, but theres not really enough of those to make a season out of every year, so they find other ones that are doing just fine, and offer free publicity and a lot of upgrades to their equipment and the overall look of the bar at the cost of the show, but the trade off that the owners/staff need to say they're doing worse than they are and allow the show to make the bar and staff look bad on tv too, in order to get the benefits. The bar has the crew/producers around for a few days before the undercover people come in, and they set up a few things to make the bar look worse (for example, at my friend's bar, they left the back door open on purpose and left food out to encourage rats to come in to the kitchen, so when the cameras were rolling and Jon was there, he could find the rats and yell at the staff/owners, which was the main "issue" with the bar in the episode, along with real interpersonal issues between the co owners, which Jon did help with), and then they come in and "rescue" the bar, which includes things like changing the menu, adding speciality cocktails, training the staff better, new POS systems, etc, which does improve the situation in the bar, because Jon does know what hes doing, and along with the publicity, if the owners listen to what he's saying, it's very likely that from that point on, they can stay open for a long time doing much better business, but it's all up to the owner really

Immediately after finishing that, I see that Andy has a new Bar Rescue video... and there's Gunnar. @@Genevieve1023you absolutely bodied that guy and I respect it. I'd also like to add the exact desperation they're saying makes people "obedient" is what leads to our increased crime rate, either due to financial needs not being met or because desperate people tend to self medicate, and addictions mixed with poverty aren't a formula for good decision making. This is made worse by the lack of healthcare and criminalization of drug use, people who need help get kicked while they're down, then people are surprised when they take desperate measures? This lie is ruining people's lives, so thanks for calling it out

Don't worry there is an episode where the kitchen actually does catch on fire. It's season 3 episode 35. It's one of the funniest in the entire show. Jon just stands there yelling at the employees while a grease fire is burning.
