今回は僕がバレーボールに必要だと思うトレーニングを紹介します!
リモート撮影が多く、なかなか面白い企画が実施できなく申し訳ないです!

    exercises involved for those interested: 1. Deadlift - warm up weight (for nishida it's 100kg) - actual weight x 5; 3 sets (for nishida it's 120 kg) - tip: dont round your back 2. Front squats - warm up weight (nishida: 60kg) - actual weight x 3 [actual vid: 5 reps x 3 sets] (nishida: 100kg) - tip: dont drop your elbows; this exercise is not only for legs but also good for core Upper body twice a week training 3. Shoulder press - 30kg per hand (he did like 6 reps, 3 sets) - tip: stick out your chest and try not to lift hips; use proper form to avoid injury 4. Single leg negative box squat (see at 6:44) - 30 kg; 5 reps per leg x 3 sets - tip: do it on a platform at a height that would allow your working knee to be at 90 degrees when squatting/bending while non-working leg's heel touches the ground; as soon as non-working leg's heel touches the ground, go up/raise it - note: toughest training/exercise for him; if starting, try without weight, focus on your form 5. Pullups, chin-ups, chinning - with added weight if weight is too light for training (for nishida: his weight is light so he adds 20kg) - 5 reps x 3 sets - tip: dont put jaw above the bar; imagine throwing out your chest and go up; use proper form so you dont hurt your shoulders

    Hii I have a few questions i hope you can answer: How often should I do this routine (he said 5 times but the quads need longer to rest don‘t thay? What about other upper body exercises? Do you know how often it’s important to train stamina for volleyball?

How often -based on the number of reps that he's doing + the weights, i'm assuming he's doing something similar to the "3-5 concept" for power/strength training which is: training 3-5 days per week Choose 3-5 exercises Do 3-5 repetitions per set 3-5 working sets Rest 3-5 minutes between each set For Nishida, since he's powerful already and it is his job to train, i assume he's able to do lower body strength 5 days a week. if you're new, stick to 3 times. But i think it's also ok to do 5 days if you can since the training for strength involves a lot of rest, and low volume (than hypertrophy) 2. Upper body -he said in the video he trains his upper twice a week. 3. stamina -not sure how often but i assume you'd want to build this steadily, so dedicate a few days a week to it so you wont fatigue easily when training

    Ever since I started volleyball Jake Gibb has been the reason I threw myself into it after seeing that starting at 21 isn't going to hold me back from achieving in the sport. After seeing Nishida play I knew there were no boundaries with the sport and now strive to hit harder and play better every time I hit the court. Thank you Nishida

    Iam. An Indian sir your spiking is very power full .     Its cool video as always from Yuji Nishida👏👏😭. Just sir, my question is..... What kind of warmup by deadlift 100kg? Event for my main workout i will just gonna do zumba for 3 minutes and then eating rice for closing. Btw all the best for you, and fighting for the olympic Yuji👏👏👏💪💪💪

    On the shoulder press he says is training for the "piriformis muscle", but the piriformis is actually a glute muscle, what he is refering to is the Infraspinatus muscle which in anatomy is aka "the piriformis of the shoulder" for the similar functions of abduction, external rotation and overall joint stabilization. Hope this info is useful for someone.

    Nishida is my inspiration for volleyball. I'm 5 feet 6 high, but the jump is 28 inches and I'm very happy to be able to spike and compete with tall players
